Being a noble is not something Sean ever wanted, but life just propelled him along noble paths. First, he was an Aspirant, then a Knight, and finally, he had become a Lord. In the end, he stopped fighting it, realizing that he would need the social status to keep his promise to Myna and avenge the deaths at Oakwood.

Leaving Hearthglen behind, the family moved to the center of Queendom, the city of Accord. As the most important city in the Queendom, Accord had been Shaped from the ground up around the central tree that towered above every other structure in the city. The gigantic tree housed all of the city functions, and was the first project the Queens had undertaken on this world.

Sean and his family began to build the allies they could, knowing that Accord would see them dealing with more politics. Hallie set out to make allies with the lesser nobles— with the help of Dame Daria Iceblood— leaving Sean free to focus on his new healing clinic. After all, healing could give him the chance to win more people over.

Little did they know that the one they sought to undermine, Lord Truestrike, was already making strides toward his own plans. Soon, Accord would bear witness to two nobles vying to pull each other down… though hopefully without invoking the ire of the Advisor.

I'll be honest and upfront, I'm a bit biased about the book. With that said, I think it was really good.

A good continuation of the series. Things are progressing in the story. So while this is absolutely a slice of life story, there has been developments with the overall plot. We find out more about the queens and their deal with the Tuatha. Things are progressing with Truestrike. There is some action but also a lot of healing and crafting. Overall a good addition to the series.

Always Great!

Always Great to read about Sean and his family! And I know you can't write 24\7 just to keep us happy but it's still hard to enjoy the story whenever I get to about 85% of the book I get sad thinking the story ends soon! I just want them to continue forever!!! Great job as always!!!! Looking forward to the next book!!!

A set-up and slice-of-life tale as the Macdougal family shifts to Accord and goes about setting up themselves in the new town to confront Truestrike when the time comes. So it's time to bring allies closer and to make the enemy weaker. Let's go and see how the series ends, and to that end, let's keep on reading.

People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put, I love reading, so I have made it my motto to Forever Keep on Reading. I love reading everything except for self-help books, even occasionally. I read almost all the genres, but YA, Fantasy, and Biographies are the most read. My favorite series is Harry Potter, but then there are many more books I adore. I have bookcases filled with books that are waiting to be read, so I can't stay and spend more time on this review. Remember, I loved reading this and love reading more. You should also read what you love, and then just Keep on Reading.

Massive 500+ pages fantasy Slice-of-Life novel.

With this 9th book in the series this go as they have been. Sean and his household have established themselves in accord and gathered allies. What follow in this book is their slow progression as allies of not just their friends, but the city itself.

In other words, a lot of healing, crafting and some 'noble parties'. Throughout this novel Sean really becomes known for who he is an just how powerful he really is. And truth be told, I'm there for it. Accord of al intend and purpose IS the 'Big Leagues' where direct representatives of he Queens rule and Lord Truestrike has his powerbase.

So overall quite a bit of progress in the story and lots of everyday life.
Four stars and on to the next novel in the serie!

More of the same.

This is very much a set up for the end of the series. Not much new is going on, so I think it is a very good idea to start to close it out. This book is more a 'day in the life' than anything else, not bad but not very interesting. The climax should make it all worthwhile.

We get more intrigue in Accord this volume. Truestrike is not as blatant as Sharpeyes. We get some unrest in the city and Sean and his family's answer to it. Sean makes more waves with the healers in the city and begins to learn more about the Tuatha's Agreement with the Queens.

There is some foreshadowing of where I think the series will end, but it is the journey that matters.

I will say the cast of characters is too large for my taste. Some characters just do not get enough time in the spotlight.

I lost interest around the 3/4 mark, but I got through it on the second try
I dig Daniel Schinhofen specifically, and harem in general, but I tend to burn out on any series when they exceed 5 wives or so. The MC here is up to 9 with more in the works and I've been struggling with this series for a few books now.
-There is a scene in this book where Sean (the MC) is about to go to the Gala. His wives come down the stairs one at a time and the book describes what each one is wearing in detail. Each wife's description takes a few pages and then they have a cutesy-poo little interaction with the husband Sean (the MC) before the next wife starts down the stair in her ball gown. This scene goes on For-EVER! it was nearly the death of me. Forget skipping ahead, I had to shelve the book and go read something else for a while (I started this book in October, finished it in December). That scene is a microcosm of what the whole series has become. Bloated, interminable, pointless, and oppressively maudlin.
While this book isn't quite as bad as the one before, reading Daniel Schinhofen books are becoming more of a chore than a joy.

Great series, excited to continue reading it

This is my favorite series by this author and Ive read most of them. Excellent world building and detail of family life for the MC. Its amusing how hung up he is with the interaction of the women in his harem and those that will be joining it. Also enjoy the crafting and business acumen that is being dislpayed as the MC and his family navigate the treacherous waters of the movers and shakers in the cities he has visited.

Since he has leveled his family and allies, Im looking forward to seeing Lord Truestrike's minions and catspaws move against the Macdougal clan and get reamed because they are all demigod warriors.... Surprise, not just pretty faces! Then those who stand against him end up in the bog and throw their former allies under the bus. Finally Truestrike's toadies and his fiancee turn against him when he is revealed for the snake in the grass that he really is, before he too claims his reservation in the bog for his sins.

I know this this book just came out, but l cant wait for the next one. I will have to do a re-read of the series to tide me over until the next book launch.

Let's see what crap I will have to endure this go round.

I'm glad the author cut down on the smut, but the relationships are still super cringe inducing.
The man is having sex multiple times a day, everyday, with multiple women, and he blushed like a school boy at the most inane crap. Then we have his women (wives) trying to add his frigging staff to his bed.

WTF is going on with the author?
Does he think a single man can have a loving relationship with over fifteen women, all in the same house? And when they don't want to conform to his version of love, he uses his succubus to mind fuck his women into submission with her domination eyes.

I have to force myself through these books. I'm only reading for the story and magic. The forced lovey dovey shit is pissing me off.

I wonder which of the author's fanbase is gassing him that this shit is enjoyable to read. Probably a bunch of people that were never in a real relationship.

I just finished this book, and I didn't even realise he had nine wives. I thought he was at six. This just shows that you can't keep track of anybody.

I'm still waiting for the protagonist to sleep with one of those thumb sized fairies.

The Accord arc seems to have a little better pacing than the previous section as I feel like more stuff is happening in general. Although, this volume was mostly just a set-up for the next book. I believe the end state of this series has been laid out for us with some heavy-handed foreshadowing, but I could be wrong and we are in for a twist. Overall, I am still invested in the main story. My main ongoing gripe is with the state of this series' harem; it's unsexy and awkward. We have Sean, the world's blandest lover, living like he is a cult leader with 11 obsessed women waiting in a queue for him. He tides them over with promises and innocuous gestures; meanwhile, they have to have a succubus erase their “fears and jealousy” (and personality), as they also pair up together to avoid the loneliness. This is in addition to his 9 wives, who have almost been forgotten as far as character development is concerned as they are mostly interchangeable at this point. It's disappointing as I would rather have quality over quantity, and I struggle to relate to Sean's interactions with women to begin with (as author continues to make him eternally bashful and embarrassed with the women in his life.)

Now that Sean and family are in the city of Accord, things start to get interesting.

As usual, most of the book is taken up with crafting, family, and tiny bits of action. In book 9, most of what happens is a reaction to other events. The problem is that no one, from the advisor to the head of police can't prove it. Add in a third variable and it gets tough.

Book 9 is very much a continuation of the series. It's very warmhearted, although I noticed Sean was on a very short fuse when it came to slights about his wives or family.

I have a feeling the end of the series isn't too far away. The queen's are mentioned quite frequently in this book, along with other historic references to the huntsman and other beings. Which I realize makes this sound like a take on a famous Disney movie, but there you go.

Ok better but still a teen harem romance first

Honestly I decided to tough it out, it's better it actually has more actual story content rather than its usual focus of the books where the sexual nature is the main focus rather than the titled theme.
The books have so much potential but get bogged down that span whole chapters of non real relevant materials to be focused on. Honestly it's like the books "theme" but calling something calling itself a chocolate cake but only being a vanilla cake with chocolate chips added for flavor rather than being the focus.

Also I feel like the main character is a man child he reminds me of the character Shazam he is not an adult but a think 16 teen in a man's body when changed.

It's good

If you liked the previous books in the series you'll like this one . lots of plot advancement. Steady increases in power. The author tries to keep all of his wives and lovers and potential lovers distinct which is a heavy heavy lift. It's really hard to keep them all straight. I thought that at some point most of them were going to die to make things more manageable, but this was not the case. Seems to be setting it up to wrap up this series. In the next book or the book after if he wants to stretch it. Avoided having the main character do stupid things to advance the plot which was appreciated.

Excellent but very sugary

I enjoy Daniel’s books with the way he can make you feel the characters emotions, to which I enjoy a good fantasy romance. This book has a lot less sexual content than most of his books with fade to black happening in this book. The excessive number of wives still give me occasional trouble remembering who is who by name. Loving the crafting and world building aspects of the book series as well.
Overall a really good read if a bit sugary with all the love talk between him, his wives and staff.

nope

I at first really enjoyed this series. The harem aspect is fine as long as you don’t keep forever adding new ones, especially if they are only there to boost the main characters ego “oh sir you are so kind and sexy and you saved us all” this book has so many vapid relationship moments it started to make me cringe. I came for the slice of life and pretty much all I got was dribble about how amazing the mc is and how everyone loves him, the actual story I felt is moving quite slowly which would be fine if the crafting base building aspects that I appreciated in the previous books was more prevalent so disappointed.

I always love this series.

I have posted my general dislike for harem style stories in the majority as being over the top. However, in my opinion, Daniel Schinhofen is one of the most talented and engaging writers of our time. I only wish for Greenways Goblins to have a continuation, to the bog with anyone who disagrees, lol. Unless Daniel doesn't have any desire to work with that plot again, then he can stay, but only him! I have read all of his books despite my dislike of harem, and that should tell you a lot about how great the stories are.

Keeps getting better

Love this series as the title it builds on the last books, so if you have got this far then you know about the world sean lives in his trials and tribulations on life and having so many wifes, its a beautiful slice of life story that few authors can combine crafting fighting love and an intriguing story plot all together, i await the next book to read more of seans adventures in this world.

always a fun read

I like the way the author writes he's very well at showing the personalities and the way the characters interact with each other both the good people and the bad people. for me the characters take a life on to themselves and give me lots of action interesting things and depth to their reality. for me this was a very fast read and I enjoyed every bit of it. I am looking forward to the next book in the story to see are actually to read what happens next.

So good

This book series is like a bologna mayonnaise sandwich on a hot summer day when you forgot to eat breakfast and you went for a walk, and you got home and you realize you didn't really want to cook, but you were still in a good mood and didn't want to ruin it with a bunch of Grease food. So you just throw a little baloney and mayonnaise on a sandwich and you just eat it you realize. This was really good. Just really really good

This series has had me in tenterhooks since the beginning

I can find nothing to complain about in this, the 9th novel except that I can’t wait for the conclusion. Daniel has done an excellent job of bringing the series together and answering all the important questions I had about Sean and his companions and also his enemies and their motives in this penultimate (hopefully) novel.

Political Intrigue in Accord

It's nice to read about a powerful individual with a large harem that loves all his wives, and them inturn him, and tries for the enbetterment of those he calls friends. While always looking out for those looked down on by the mean wealthy.
Sean is just a nice guy, but will take no shit from others who only look for their own best interests.

This book had no descriptive sex like the last book. It was nice to read.

Another Great Addition

A solid entry into the Binding Words series, the tension increases, enemies plot, and Sean and his family are on the path hurtling towards the next confrontation. 5/5 a fantastic and riveting read, and personally I cannot wait for the next novel in the series that is one of the brightest jewels in Schinhofen’s literary crown.

Another great read

Absolutely love this series and watching while the MC does his best to be a good man. All he wants is to craft and be with his family. Something we can all strive for. And which would leave the world a better place. No cliffhangers this time but definitely pushing the story forward for there to be more conflicts soon.

Excellent Saga

Sean and his wives are navigating the rapids and whirlpools of society in Accord. So far he's defeated or thwarted Lord Truestrike's attempts to bring down him or his allies. Things are heating up how will they manage what is to come? I'm anxiously awaiting the next book! If you haven't started this series do so! You will not be disappointed.

it’s book 9

Seriously. Reading reviews at this point is ludicrous. Oh all right.

A lot of the usual stuff. Some build up towards confrontation, but things stay at a slow boil. Hints of a deeper resolution cropped up, especially towards the end.

I will continue to follow this series.
