One kid and two years later, Liza and Matt are finally going to tie the knot. After a rocky start to their relationship, Liza is finally going to marry the love of her life—her brother’s best friend.
The wedding has been planned down to the last detail—the most beautiful setting, the best food, and the perfect dress have all been picked by the bride and groom. But when things suddenly start to go awry, our couple starts to wonder whether they must be cursed or something. It feels like the universe is conspiring against them as more and more things go wrong.
After one big incident, when it feels like all is lost and the wedding needs to be canceled, Matt rallies their friends and family to plan the wedding they deserve in an impossibly short amount of time.
Will all be lost, or will Matt be able to save the day so that he and Liza can finally have their Happily Ever After?
Happily Ever Disaster is a novella that should be read after Book 2 of the Seasons of Love Book series. It is an open door romantic comedy with enough steam to fog your reading glasses.
* This book will only be in e-book format and its intent is to raise money for FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures) at NYU Langone.
This novella is book 2.5 in Frank’s Seasons of Love series The author states, ‘The book is meant to follow Shall We Dance? (Barbara and Theo) but is about Liza and Matt from Book 1 (Fall into You) and their disastrous wedding. It's light and steamy and a quick read. Plus, the epilogue will intro book 3 (about Rosie from book 2). . . ‘
I read Fall Into You over a year ago, so it’s been a while since I thought about Matt and Liza. But Frank does a good job of refreshing the memory on past characters as this novella focuses on Matt and Liza finally getting married. I’m not a fan of ‘a series of unfortunate events’ stories. And there is too much focus on spicy details for this brief timeline of the night before the wedding until the wedding reception. But - there are some sweet, heartfelt and sentimental moments mixed in.
It’s a novella - that is definitely meant to be read after the first two books. It’s not necessary. But I like that Frank explains that it was just going to be a bonus chapter and then her writing group encouraged her to expand it to be a novella. And I like that she put it out with the focus to be to raise money for a good cause. I think it serves its purpose as a fun follow up to the series, and does make me interested to read about Rosie. I’d probably only recommend it to those who have read and loved books 1 & 2. It’s nothing fabulous, but it’s fun and I think it does what the author intended.
* Thankful to the author for sending this ebook to me. I’m sorry that it’s been sitting buried in my Kindle for too long before I got around to it.
There were a few grammatical errors that took away from the book. But I love these characters so much. I am glad she gave us a sneak peak into this wonderfully chaotic day!
Who wants a fall themed novella that is full of spice and sweetness?
This story takes place after Shall We Dance but is Liza and Matt’s POV because it is their wedding day! Or what’s supposed to be their wedding day, but gets derailed quite a bit.
HED is super hilarious in the sense that if this would ever happen to me I might murder someone. Probably. We’ll see 👀 But they both took it in stride and it ended up still just as cute and romantic (and spicy) as they originally planned it.
I loved this little story about how our favorite couples are doing now. But honestly, I am SUPER intrigued now to read Rosie’s story. I loved her in SWD but a girl cannot catch a break and I want her to. So bring it on for her story, and all the sweet but agonizing parts that I know will be coming with it!
HED is a great extended epilogue for our pals Matt and Liza. And gives us a nice glimpse back into the lives of Theo and Barbara too. It’s best enjoyed if you’ve read their individual books, but it’s also a plan ole good time, so read it!
All proceeds until Dec 31 are donated to Finding a Cure For Epilepsy (FACES) Institute of NYC Langone. So please please please go get yourself a copy of this one 🖤
AOTD: I love reading novellas, especially to get a taste of an author I’m considering buying books from. I also love when novellas are for charity/fundraising—it’s fun to be part of a good cause.
Caroline Frank has a Seasons of Love novella coming out this Tuesday—all proceeds going to FACES (Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures). Link for more information: https://www.carolinefrankwrites.com/h...

This novella is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 🔥🔥🔥 for me. The whole series is 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for me & I’m really looking forward to Rosie’s love story in 2023!
What I’m Starry-Eyed Over: 🤩 The beautiful cover! 🤩 The theme of overcoming challenges in life with the support of loved ones. 🤩 The steamy tension and fun even 2 years into a relationship! 🤩 The HEA for Matt & Liza—feels like an extended epilogue.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 Nothing
The novella is book 2.5 in the series. But, if you don’t mind reading out of order, you could get a taste of her full-of-fun-and-feels writing in the novella. Otherwise, just trust me and escape into this beautiful and spicy romcom series.
happy pub day to this gem of a novella! if you haven’t picked up the seasons of love series by @carolinefrankwrites, now is the perfect time! 🤍
•this novella follows up on the characters from Fall Into You (book 1 in the series), Matt and Liza, as they prepare for their wedding day. of course, things are crazy and nothing goes how they planned, but over the course of the day they realize that simply being with each other is what’s most important.
•i loved getting to catch up with these characters, as well as other favs from Shall We Dance? (book 2 in the series). we also get a sneak peek of what’s to come for book 3 and when i tell you i am so excited…I’M SO EXCITED. 😍🥰
•this novella also had me laughing out loud numerous times. caroline puts a lot of heart and humor into her characters, which makes you fall in love with them all the more.
💗do yourself a favor and check out this novella and the rest of the series. all proceeds from the novella go towards FACES (finding a cure for epilepsy and seizures), a cause very near and dear to the author. you can go to the links in her bio for more info. 💗
The story Liza and Matt are the couple from Caroline Frank’s Fall Into You story. They have been together for the last two years, have a daughter Lucy together and are now getting around to getting married. If things go according to plan…
My thoughts A bonus chapter that turned into a novella, this sweet and spicy story is fuelled by lust and love. I love that their are multiple points of view, we hear both Liza and Matt’s voices, as well as that of Liza’s good friend Rosie. I love that the moral of the story is that it’s about the marriage rather than the wedding at the end of the day. The proceeds from this story support FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures), a cause close to the author’s heart. Great read if you have read the other two books in this series 🎃
I read an eARC copy courtesy of the author My rating 4/5 - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
If you’ve ever been to a wedding or planned a wedding, you’ll totally relate to this novella by Carolyn Frank. Not only do we get to revisit our favorite characters from Falling Into You, but we get to see their nuptials, even though they don’t completely turn out the way the couple has planned. Disaster is a tame term for what occurs during their wedding at the pumpkin patch where they met for the second time, but of course a happily ever after is in store.
I love that we got to see these two get their happily ever after, even if it wasn’t in the most likely of ways. And of course this wouldn’t be a Carolyn Frank book without the wonderful chemistry and amazing sexy times that she can write. Another and amazing installment in the seasons of love series!
4.5⭐️ GOD I LOVE THIS SERIES I didn’t realize how much I missed Liza and Matt until I started reading this. Which also makes sense cause I waited two weeks for this novella but it was so worth it to see their wedding!! I also just love seeing these characters again and being in this universe it’s just so comforting. And I wasn’t sure how Ms Frank would add spice to such a small book and make it work but by Jove she did! My only thing is that I turned the page and suddenly their POVs were over and we were beginning to see Rosie’s POV. Just would’ve liked a more gradual ending or more pages cause I could read a thousand pages of this series. Loved and I’m already loving the Winter one!!
Happily Ever Disaster is the 2.5 novella of the series A Season of Love. If you have read all of the series Liza and Matt are back! And planning a wedding can be stressful. This novella is a life reminder that everything might not go as planned but what matters the most is being with your significant other. And let me also mention that Caroline Frank does not disappoint when it comes to humor, sweetness, and spice!!! 🥵🌶🔥❤️ IYKYK
Oh! And there’s a bonus chapter for book 3!!! I’m super excited! 🙌🏼
This novella shares the heartwarming story of Matt and Liza's wedding. While things don't go as planned, this story embraces savoring moments with our loved ones, no matter the circumstances. Matt and Liza's relationship is one of mutual respect and understanding. Their love practically flies off the page in warm-colored rose petals and crisp autumnal leaves. This is the perfect fall cozy read for a night in. Maybe with a pumpkin spice latte in hand? Alright; I won't push it.
I love this peek into the Seasons of Love series crew as the couple from book one gets married!! This was a great segue novella. Matt and Liza have gone from 'secret dating' (Fall Into You), to having everyone so on board with their relationship, that they all spring into action to make sure their wedding happens TODAY. And the last chapter is a quick view into a new perspective for the next book in the series!!!
The spice! The super understanding, creative problem solvers! The many mishaps that, if it had been me, would have made me inconsolable! Liza and Matt are not perfect, but they are perfect for each other. I love them so much. And I can't wait for Caroline's next story!
This is the novella sequel to Caroline's first book in the Seasons of Love series, Fall Into You, and it was the perfect fall-ow up (😄 get it?) for this couple. The book follows Liza and Matt on their wedding weekend two years after the events of book 1 while they navigate the many obstacles that pop up that impede their way down the aisle.
It is a quick, heartwarming read with familiar characters that I was thrilled to revisit for their big day. Just as with the first book, I loved the family dynamics and the side characters.
If you are looking for some good fall romance recs, check out both this novella (Happily Ever Disaster) and its prequel/the first book in the series, Fall Into You.
This was such a cute quick read!! I did do the audiobook and really enjoyed it. The cover if the book gave me fall vibes & wanted to make sure I included it in my fall reads. This story takes the disaster of what can happen on a wedding day and makes it into the most perfect day ever!!
I really enjoyed this bonus story of Matt and Liza’s disaster wedding and I can’t wait for Rosie’s story next in Second chance snowmance (releasing Nov 7th!)
Downloaded this to help me get closer to my reading goal since it’s only 2 hours on audio! Easy listen and fun to follow along even though i have not read any of the series before
