Loved the simple, unpretentious nature that Whittaker translated personal finance concepts to new students such as myself. It motivated me to do further reading and study to better myself and my future financially.
Would recommend this to maybe an 18 - or 19 year old that doesn't know anything about money.
Look into other books that talk about investing in more detail and also super. Those are the only two steps that really need more research. The other steps are just common sense (don't spend more than you earn, have a strong support team, don't get sucked into advertisment, etc)
This book might be good for 16-22 year olds, before they read the Barefoot investor. Disappointing that there is no talk whatsoever about how to handle HECS/ HELP fees.
For what it is, it’s great; a simple introduction into the world of financials. The steps are very simplified and some common sense, but it’s a good guide to have as a starting base.
