Hunter is a millionaire due to a gold mine in Colorado he is part owner of. He likes to travel, always looking to see what’s over the next hill.
Due to his money, he has a great horse, lots of silver trimmings on his equipment and, of course, a special gun and holster.
Hunter had traveled up from the south, stopping at his home in Denver. From there he traveled east into Kansas then north to Sioux Indian country. He then dropped down into Nebraska and turned west. After taking care of some problems with rustlers, he headed west again. He came over a rise and saw a beautiful, peaceful, small town. He loved it. They called it Pine Bluffs. It set just across the line into Wyoming Territory. He decided this would be a nice town to build and at least spend some of the year here.
Hunter had hired some brothers to build a house on an isolated bluff. Everyone thought there was no way up onto the bluff and there was nothing up there anyway except trees and rocks. Hunter found a way up.
But trouble always seems to find Hunter, mainly because he is so fast with his gun. Men are always trying to test him but he doesn’t want to be a gunfighter.
