When the golden Son sacrifices for the One, only then can the curse be undone... Carrick O'Malley is living a double life. To shield his son, Aeden, from a horrific truth, he convinced everyone he'd lost his wife in a tragic accident. But over the last eleven months, he's done his job too well, and everyone now despises the woman he sneaks off to visit-the dreaded Witch of the Woods. Roisin O'Malley became an outcast to protect her small family from becoming collateral damage. Posing as her hated sister, Meg, should have made it easy to find whoever suppressed her magic and caused her disfiguring accident. But after months of searching, she's no closer to the truth, and she's finding it increasingly difficult to be away from those she loves. When someone learns Roisin's true identity, the attempts on her life resume, escalating in intensity. Roisin and Carrick must put aside the differences caused by their separation and work together. If they can discover the link between the attacks and the ancient O'Malley prophecy, perhaps they can save their family and recapture the magic they lost.
T.M. Cromer is a multi-award-winning sorceress of the written word and fearless architect of high-stakes paranormal romance. With a flair for twisty plots, slow burns, and swaggering heroes hot enough to scorch the page, she conjures stories that hook readers and refuse to let go. From her cozy PNW lair, flanked by two Hellhounds and an unholy amount of caffeine ambition, she weaves love, danger, and humor into every page. Whether it’s witches, sirens, or magical assassins, her characters never behave, and neither do her stories.
When she’s not dreaming up new ways to ruin her characters’ lives before crafting their HEA, she’s daydreaming about swimming with orcas or cackling over a particularly clever line of dialogue. Come for the magic, stay for the heartbreak, and maybe fall a little too hard for a man who only exists on the page.

I am thoroughly impressed with the research and small (but huge) details of this series. Roison does what she needs to stay close to her family. Someone is definitely out to get them. The same deep abiding love of the Thornes, also exists in this story. Of course! They're all in the same family. The excerpt for the next book is awesome! Ms. Cromer has captured my interest with the unique words and phrases from the Irish. I admit, I used my thesaurus more than once to find what a word meant. Some didn't have them so I may have to do some research myself. A wonderful read!
I was on the edge of my seat.!!! I can't say more except buy this book you really want to buy the whole series you won't regret it I promise you that. Fantastic storyline in every book they just keep getting better and better. I can't wait for the next one
I loved the Thorn Witch Series and this spin off series is delivering the same great characters and the same great stories. Loved everything about this one. Cannot wait for Book 3 in the series. This is a must read for all T.M. Cromer fans.
Not nearly as witty as the first book, and the characters seem a bit all over the place... But still a fairly fun, quick read... If you are looking for something light and hitting all the Irish stereotypes.
If there is one trope I love most it is a broken marriage between two people trying to find their way back to each other. Throw in some magic, an obstacle keeping them apart and a cute kid and you have me binge reading like a starved bookworm!
I will always sing Tara's praises, her writing is wonderful! The banter, the passion, the strong fiesty women, the dreamboat men.
I feel like this one also did a lot of setting up for our bad guys to take action, and there is a certain character that I hope gets the spotlight and his own romance... but I shan't spoil.
Witches. Magic. Family. Love. What more could you want?
Whiskey & Witches is Carrick and Roisin’s O'Malley's story. What an action packed book. I love how this story came about and the way Roisin and Carrick wanted to protect their son. What I really enjoyed was seeing other characters join the fun from previous stories. This series has great characters and the storyline for Roisin and Carrick was genius.
CALLED IT!!!! Got everything right, but one bit and i am so glad i got that wrong. I was afraid Roisin's spirit inhabited her sister's body, but i forgot about glamour, so that was the only part i got wrong. Also way to set up the series for the next generation! any who, i just had to read this right away since i had to find out what happened to little Aedan. that poor boy. Well, after all that, he has a doting mother and doting future aunt to give him all the cuddles i can't.
More magical Adventure and a story of endless love.
The luck continues to change from unlucky to good as the O'Malley family continue to solve the riddle surrounding a prophecy and the loss of their magic. This time TM Cromer focus her impressive storytelling skills on Carrick O'Malley and his gifted son, Aiden.
While there remains some snarky humor in this novel, the tone of this book is more suspense and romance. The focus of the story is Carrick's revealed secret and the solution to the second part of the prophecy involving Aiden. The edge of the seat action captured my attention at the beginning of the story. The more I read, the more intense the suspence became, the more enthralled I became! Once again TM Cromer magically transported me to the heart of the story. It was as though I watched the story from the stage wings. The characters were all as real as my next door neighbors. Through TM Cromer's imagination, and wordsmithing, I participated in the lives of these amazing people. What an adventure!
The soul-mates love that exists between Carrick and his wife, brought a sigh to my lips! Imagine a love that survives even death. It was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes! Aiden, the golden boy, is a joy to behold! By the end of the book I was wanting to become a part of his family! What a beautiful soul TM Cromer created!
Every part of this novel called to me. I so want to explore the Ireland TM Cromer's imagination has created! I can't get enough of this series. I can hardly wait to start book 3!
Whiskey & Witches is another spectacular paranormal romance by T.M. Cromer. Ms. Cromer once again lures us readers in with the promise of a well-written book and fantastic characters, and she delivers. After a car crash damages Roisin's face and body, kills her sister and hurts her son, she agrees to her husband's idea to take her sister's identity. Her husband, Carrick, wanted her to stay away until their son's nightmares stopped. The danger hasn't passed and Carrick and Roisin bring characters that are old friends to readers of Ms. Cromer's books into the story. And who doesn't love Damian and his Beastie? Carrick and Roisin's story is cover to cover drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading Whiskey & Witches and look forward to my next book by T.M. Cromer. This is book 2 of The Unlucky Charms Series and can be read as a standalone. I suggest reading book 1 first though because it's magically delicious. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
As a reader you find there are times you find journey's that pull you in so deep. Books in series thst make you want more. Authors that are your favorite. THIS IS THAT AND MORE. Carrick and Roisin journey reaps your heart out from the start. Their family has gone threw so much pain but yet you see love hanging on. The characters are amazing. TM Cromer is a Author that writes with her heart, thinking of her readers, connecting fully with her characters so that she gives us well written, heart pounding, emotional books that captivates us beyond anything we can ever imagine. Its a world she captures fully so that we can be taken into the world of magic and be left breathless.....
I read this in the 2 book set on kindle unlimited so I am posting this review on both books in the set because they were equally amazing!!! This was such a good series. I didn’t want to put it down! What made it even better is I went into not knowing what it was about, and it had the Thornes in it!!!! I didn’t realize that it had been that long since I had read some of those books and it was like visiting old friends. It was amazing!! I was sucked back into that world so fast and I cannot wait to go back and reread all of the Thorne books. This author creates characters that you cannot get enough of and they stick with you for years and years. I absolutely loved these two books. I highly recommend this series as well as the Thorne’s series.
The prophecy is coming true in different ways than the family expects. The Eather is an interesting character and figure in this magical community and he reproduced. Such a vulnerable challenge having a child with that kind of power. Aeden is so precious and understands so much more than anyone gives him credit for. I will say it was a surprise that Carrick and Roisin thought it best to keep her away because of her face. They did not give enough credit to their child to recognize her for her own person. It will be interesting to see how the end plots out and how the family pulls together to fulfill the prophecy and end the threat against them.
T.M. Cromer delivers another hit. With all the emotions, you will truly feel like a part of the story. She has a way of pulling you, mind and spirit, into the wonderful world of her creation, and when it ends and you return to reality, you will only wish to return to that world again. I give it 5 stars, but it deserves so many more! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
T.M. Cromer has done it again! While this is a Spinoff from the Thorne's series it's still considered within their world so I say it's another fantastic addition in the series. The emotions invoked are absolutely fantastic and make you appreciate the beauty of family. I have to admit that you can't go through a Cromer book without some emotions. This one, as a Mother, wreaked havoc with my emotions.
Well another amazing story! This book has it all. It's sad, mad, happy, scared, a little romance. It has sacrifice for the good of the family. But, maybe it wasn't the best choice! You must read the book to decide. I love seeing the old characters pop in. Also, I've come to the realization I can read with an Irish accent. How cool is that?! I definitely can't wait to see what's next!
I am really liking this series and I definitely need to go back and read the Thorne series. ( but you don’t need to have read that series to read this one.) I really like Roisin and Carrick. Aeden and Sabrina were so cute together. I was tearing up a lot when they were the focus.
Another time stealer! Couldn’t put it down and devoured it within a couple of hours. These characters are so well thought out and make you fall in love with them. Can’t wait for the next one!
I was looking forward to this story to come out and definitely not disappointed loved it. The characters are great. Now I'll anxiously wait the next book in this series which I have already pre order. You did it again Tara, thank you.
This second installment of the new series is of course fantastic! I can't wait til the next one is released to see what happens next with how the prophesy plays out!
I love this book series. Tara Cromer has brought new and previous characters together to help the O’Malley‘s. There has to be a Throne witch somewhere to help. ❤️ I can’t wait for the next book.
Te Unlucky Charms Series is such a great series! Whiskey and Witches has a great story line that leaves you wanting more. T.M. Cromer is an amazing writer!
Wow so a lot was answered with Carrick's and Roisin's story. Roisin's accident was horrific and Aeden was involved and saw everything. I feel Carrick's actions where Roisin and their son was concerned was wrong on so many levels. He literally was emotionally abusing her keeping her from her son. Then we have Ronan, OMG I feel there is unfinished business between Ronan and Rebecca, yeah yeah she left her husband prior to her affair with Ronan but something is still there. Can't put my finger on it. So another piece of the puzzle was clarified for the prophecy. I was so so off on this. We knew Aeden played a part of it but I totally was off on who the "One" was. In my defense I didn't know about the Aether and his daughter Sabrina. So turns out Sabrina was the "One". I loved that Aeden and Sabrina formed as instant friendship and I see them together when they are older and in the future. I really thought with this being revealed that the prophecy was met. But nope I'm wrong again. Poor Ronan his troubles aren't over. His worst nightmare has just happened. Loman, his father somehow got released. Now Ronan has to deal with Loman and Moira. I had to chuckle at the end, Isis and Anu discussing the next plan of action reminded me of a chess game. Where to move who next. Will I guess I'll find out in Beer & Broomsticks. "When the Enemy at the Gate is welcomed by the Keeper of the Sword, all that is lost shell be restored." But the O'Malley's got their power back so I'm confused.
I loved this magical romantic suspense tale. The storyline was imaginative, the characters real and relatable, and the writing addictive, all drawing you into this intriguing world. The story beautifully wove together exciting adventure, unexpected twists, palpable tension, danger, healing, deep emotions, and sizzling romance. Almost a year ago Roisin, an earth witch, her son Aedon, and her sister Meg were in a horrific car accident. Meg died and Roisin and Aedon were injured. To protect Aedon, Roisin’s husband, Carrick, convinces Roisin that they should tell Aedon she’s in a coma but tell everyone else she died while she assumes Meg’s identity. Carrick is a warlock from a magical family under a 250 year old curse which means he has no magic. But now that his brother Cian fulfilled the first line of the prophecy that will break the family’s curse and bring back their magic, things have started changing and the magic, mystery, danger and intrigue has been steadily increasing. To repair and heal their fractured family there will need to be some baggage unpacking, evil thwarting, riddle solving, prophecy fulfilling, and family healing. This well written story included engaging dialogue, characters with dimension, good world building, and an interesting storyline. I am excited to read more in this series.
A fantastic addition to the series. It's sorouful and the unconditional love is something to behold. The sacrifices made prove to be worth it even though there are misgivings to begin with.
Roisin lives as hermit in the woods because of the brought on by envy and greed. There are grudges which are carried through generations, but this is not only about a grudge. It's wanting more power. Carrick bears the burden of hiding his wife's identity to avoid upsetting Aaden, their son. There is a prophecy and he appears to be the key. Roisin and Carrick have to work hard to bring the family together again. Will they succeed or will the fates decide?
Roisin and Carrick are great characters and we are blessed with the humour of Cian who has his part to play. It's a great concept and very well constructed and portrayed.
