Excellent

Very enjoyable. The recipes used make my mouth water every time, and there are a few that I'm even thinking of trying some time! My daughter loves this series as well, so it makes for good father/daughter bonding to talk about it! Looking forward to many more books in this series!

Great book

This is a very good book, and I am looking forward to the next one in the series. It’s also in audio on audible.com.

Mikura's slow life continues in the Beastly Wilds, consisting of cleaning, exercise and above all cooking. Things do take a bit of an odd turn when he accidentally proposes to Techi, and both realize they really like that idea. Usually, people learn about each other before deciding on marriage, so the two have some catching up to do. If you like the first volume, you are bound to like the second, assuming you don't mind the fact that the romance went from tentatively feeling one another out is instantly turned into marriage. I do like the fact that the author tries to make the cultures of the two worlds distinctively different and the issues that come with it. It could do with a little less cooking, but its prevalence in the story should not come as a surprise by this volume. All in all, a nice wholesome read and I am curious to what adventurers come next.
