They say you have to kiss a lot of frogs, but what if a prince shows up . . .
When a prince—not the kind who wears a crown—swoops in to rescue me, I kiss him before I even ask his name. I’m sure I’ve given him the wrong impression, and he’ll bolt away like a cat out of a bathtub. Except he keeps showing up. Maybe fairy tales are real. We all know that isn't true.
---- This closed door romcom novella is full of sizzling chemistry and toe-curling kisses.

Oh my stars, heart eyes, and dreamy sighs! Y'all! I can't even with how adorable this book is! There was no putting it down once I started and I did NOT want it to end!
Do you guys remember when I mentioned I hoped a few characters in Two Risks I'd Never Take Again would get their own story? Well, guess what?! Two of them did! I may or may not have squealed and did a happy dance around my room while one-clicking this baby!
Layla is gorgeous, impulsive, and loves to giggle. Nico is hot, protective, and a bit cynical when it comes to love. Neither are looking for love, but the moment they met, all bets were off.
Y'all! I absolutely adored Layla and Nico! Their story was just what the doctor ordered! I also love a good meet-cute in books and this one is probably one of my favorites. It involves mermaids, fire ants, needles and unexpected kisses. Intrigued and wondering how that all goes together? You're going to want to grab the book and find out! This may or may not have been the moment little dreamy sighs started escaping my lips. 😉
If you guys haven't read this series yet, you are definitely missing out! It's one of my favorites series I've read this year and I'm so not ready to leave Stadtburg yet! I know this is one series I'll be reading over and over and over again! Like I said at the beginning of my review... Oh my stars, heart eyes, and dreamy sighs! 😍
Ms. Carrington made it onto my favorite authors list from the very first book of hers I read. I know that when she releases a new book, my schedule needs to be cleared because there's no stopping until I get to the very last page. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next!
This was such a cute little novella. It's perfect if you dont have a lot of time, but want some swoony romance. It was fun seeing Nico get a story, he doesnt make the best impression in the previous book, but he definitely redeems himself in this cute story. Layla is adorable, fun and just a likable character. They're cute together and its just a light, conflict-free romance.
This is a little side novella in the Never Say Never series. I had so much fun binge reading the series this week and am a bit sad I've read them all. But, happy I still have a lot of other Carrington books to read and a new series is starting in just a few days!
This was a great book except I would have preferred if it didn't talk about so many health issues
Trigger Warning: Layla has allergic reactions that send her to the ER twice. Nico is afraid of needles and it seems everyone in the story needs something coming out of a needle especially Layla. I really didn't like this addition to the story because some people really don't want to read about this.
The story itself was great and as always was very swoony (Remi is great at that!).
Nico wasn't my favorite character in Two Risks I'd Never Take Again but I loved him in this book. It was so fun to get to know Layla and I just loved her personality. I also thought it was funny when Layla was talking about how she like tall guys even though she is a short girl. Girls like that usually drive me nuts since tall girls would like a guy that isn't half their height but it was cute seeing it from the short girl's perspective. I mean you are going to like who you like. *shrug* LOL
I can't wait for more books to come out by Remi!

I received a free copy via Booksprout and am leaving an honest review.
This novella was properly titled because it is definitely one whopper of a love story--both romantic and funny. Confirmed bachelor Nico came to mermaid-costumed Layla's rescue when she was having a very bad day and it made for a hilarious meet-cute! I have enjoyed the whole Never Say Never series and this was a fitting ending to cap it off. Highly recommend! I received an ARC and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.
A little bit of fairytale mixed in with reality. Loved that Nico was redeemed—I didn’t quite like his appearance in the previous book. This was a delightful little addition to a series that I didn’t want to be over!
I’ve found a new book boyfriend, and his name is Nico!! I loved this book so much. The characters are wonderful, and I loved the tension new habit building brought. ❤️🔥💋
Remi Carrington writes excellent romantic comedy. One Whopper of a Love Story is truly funny, and the romance is swoon worthy. I love the way Layla and Nico meet, his "kryptonite", and the frogs. Well, there are a lot of other things that I love as well, but I don't want to spoil the book for you. There is a great HEA and an epilogue. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy clean romantic comedy. It is sure to put a smile on your face. I received a complimentary copy and am sharing my opinion of this well-written book.
More Than a Pair of Jeans, #1 - Lovely. Funny. Cute. I had so much fun reading this sweet romance. Wonderful characters and interesting story lines. Written by a lovely Texan and set in Texas, complete with horses, cattle and goats. Cannot forget about the mice and kittens. Plenty of social media, too. Has a preview of the story. 5*
More Than a Pretty Face, #2 - I just love this series. This story has such cute and sweet characters with plenty of humor. No silly mind games, just people trying to make a life with the person that they love while taking care of their friends. Living well, working hard and loving with all their hearts and souls. 5*
Stargazer Springs Ranch series: Wrangled by Lilith, #1 - I love this sweet, funny story, even when the last page came too soon. Everyone was good people whom I met before with the Stargazer Cowboy series. The dialog between Beau and Lily had me hurting from all the belly laughs. Ava added her share to the mix. Good story lines. Texans will especially enjoy this book, location and dialog. 5*
Enchanted by Joji, #2 - I love the books Remi writes. Well-written, romantic, funny, and nice characters you wish were real. Actually, you'll find people like them all over Texas. This second chance romance for a couple of 40-somethings is another fun read in this series. It is without the typical drama found in other books where she's a nut job and he has no backbone. Both work through their pasts to reach their future without the stupid formula problems, drama and actions. A feel good story. 5*
Helped by Ava, #3 - Ava is so strong in all the other books, yet, here was a bit of a headcase with her lack of self-confidence. But all worked out in this sweet, funny marriage-to-dating romance. That lil youngin Mason shared some good advice. The Mrs. Kravitz church member met her Samantha, mean ole biddy. 4*
Inspired by Mindy, #4 - You're never too old to change. Sweet. Romantic. They are both headcases, they get better once the ball gets rolling and they're working towards the same goal. The route they take is old fashioned and I love it. It is one of the best ways to learn about the other. Sir had his act together. 4* Stargazer Springs Ranch series end.
Never Say Never Series: Three Things I'd Never Do!, #1 - I read Enchanted by Joji when I discovered this series featured characters that would later appear in the Stargazer Springs Ranch series. Skid to a halt and shifted to reading this sweet, funny romance. I love all the characters, the interesting story lines, and the fact the author does not do the typical stupid formula, nut jobs and immature, stupid drama and decisions. It is easy to slip into one of Remi's well written books and not come back to reality until the last page. So have the next book on hand. Spoiler: The last bathroom scene is original and just as great as the first bathroom scene. Sweet and clean, nothing nasty. 5*
One Guy I'd Never Date, #2 - They have been in love for twenty years but did not know it. Big Brother keeps his Little Sister and his Best Friend apart while he did not follow that rule with her friend and co-worker. Carrot is a bit silly and Zach is not perfect. He puts beans in chili but he did have Moon Pies and RCs (RahC and chocolate or banana Moon Pies, best dessert mix back in the 60s). Waldo is a hoot. 4*
Two Words I'd Never Say Again, #3 - This is so much fun to read. There is a lot of humor, along with one of my favorite characters, Joji. Joji teamed up with Nacha's mom is a continuous hoot. Mix in the rest of the cast and it is just a sweet second chance romance story. 5*
One Choice I'd Never Make, #4 - I love Lilith and Joji, and now I love Cami. This was so much fun to read. No head games, just someone who knew she was good enough; no lack of self-confidence for Cami. Harper is so romantic and has a good head on his shoulders. Man, it is difficult not to go into book report mode. Fun. Romance. Wonder support characters, just like a large family or old-fashioned neighborhood where everyone had your back. 5*
Three Rules I’d Never Break!, #5 - All the guys in these three related series are great. This is a cute romance complete with a dog, a goat and a '71 Datsun. 5*
Two Risks I’d Never Take Again!, #6 - Sweet. Funny. Relaxing little romance with the same fun gang and a new story line. There are several chapters giving updates on the whole gang two years later. 5*
One Whopper of a Love Story, #7 - A fun tale about a mermaid and 21 frogs and the guy who rescued her. Layla is a fun person and Nico is another of the perfect guys. 5* Never Say Never Series ends.
Kissing Holly - A simply cute, sweet romance between two people who knew each other in school. He was dating her older sister in high school. They are perfect for each other with their large caring hearts, their sense of humor and their holiday names. There is a lot of joking about their names. Plenty of humor. Plenty of love. Plenty of feel good and happiness. 5*
Remi's books always bring an smile to my face and are an excellent cure for a really bad day. The comedic elements combined with romance makes for a great reading experience. One thing I really enjoy in her books is that the characters are not childish - some books you just wonder why they are being too dramatic or don't deal with situations head on. Remi's books aren't like that.
I like these characters and the hero is certainly admirable for the way he pursues the heroine. This book is part of a series and it's the last (very sad) but it great to see the characters get their stories! It's also nice to visit with other characters from previous books.
I got this free in exchange for an honest review. This is something I would buy so I'm happy to recommend it on to you.
Unexpected Love - Layla had just about accepted her course of bad luck that started in the morning, after her car broke down and her phone got wet, when Nico stopped to help her. When Nico stopped to help Layla, he didn’t realise that it was going to be the beginning of his journey to a wonderful forever. This story was a heartwarming read, that I just couldn’t get enough of. If you are looking for a feel good story, that will have your heart fluttering with joy, then I suggest you get this book immediately. You will definitely enjoy reading this story.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Romcom which starts with a mermaid and an emergency (with an allergy)
A cute romantic tale by Remi Carrington. The conversations and interactions between Nico and Layla kept me chuckling. I like that Remi’s characters can show self restraint as they build a friendship with each other. Teaching Layla some self defense moves was interesting, as well as learning what to do in case of an allergic reaction. Interesting insights into real life. I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I was not sure what I expected but I have enjoyed several books by Remi previously. This really is a romance that will have you smiling. Layla and Nico meet up just when she needs someone the most. They have a few bumps in the road but he becomes the prince and champion she always needed. Layla is really great for him also. I enjoyed this short, sweet and funny love story.

I'm just so over the moon with this new book from miss Carrington, it can never be any sweeter with all her books. Nico wasn't a fun character in Two Risks I'd Never Take Again he just sounded egocentric and creepy maybe? I guess now it's kind of different to actually good and ok to read about him. he definitely is not that creepy and egocentric. It was so fun to get to know Layla and I just loved her personality. Everyone does enjoy a Happy Ending, Nico and Layla do deserve it.

Layla is on her way home, back from a booking as a mermaid, she's still in costume! She gets a flat tyre and when she gets out of the car she steps on an anthill, she's allergic to them, but her EpiPen has fallen out of her handbag, lobster shaped! Fortunately someone stops to help, it's the deputy, Nico, trouble is he faints at the sight of needles! This is a very entertaining read, about two people meant to be together, and how Nico manages to calm her fears.
What a delightful story, I loved every bit of it. This is one that I will read over and over. Wonderful characters that will make you laugh and sigh, it has all the makings of a great love story. Both Nico and Layla had a fear, they helped each other face them. I am a big fan of Remi Carrington and her books. You can't go wrong when you pick up one of her books.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
A great addition to Carrington's reads. This is well written with a smooth flowing storyline that will capture your heart from the start! Sweet and fun, our main characters are Layla and Nico. I adore that Carrington can balance the humor and romance in her books so beautifully and provides up with a heartwarming ending that just makes your day a bit brighter than it was before!

One Whopper of a Love Story is another great comedy in Ms. Carrington's wonderful romantic comedy series Never Say Never. Layla and Nico are the cutest couple. I love the story of the frogs and the name of Layla's prince. I was immediately drawn into their story and could not put it down until it was finished. This is one of the best comedies I have read!
And what follows is pure swoon, but that’s no surprise when you’re reading a Remi Carrington novel. I wasn’t certain, after his appearance in, Two Risks I’d Never Take Again, that I would like Nico but he turned out to be a big, growly, protective teddy bear — with great abs. Perfect book boyfriend material.
This story is absolutely adorable!!! There are so many moments that make you want to say awwww! I’d list them, but that would just spoil everything for the next reader. But trust me, you won’t regret reading this sweet romance.

This is a well written rom com to the Never Say Never series. The author brings strong characters in Layla and Nico who have a strong connection and a sweet romance. She brings a fun story with tons of laughter and delivers another entertaining read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Nico and Layla are great characters and are good together as a couple, helping each other overcome their fears. I really loved the humor in the story line. Combined with the sweet romance, this was a pleasurable reading experience. I wonder how often a police officer stops to help a mermaid? Must make for a good story back at the station!
I LOVED this novella from Remi Carrington! It was such a fun addition to this sweet romcom series! I was especially excited to read about the spin-off series that will be coming!
I received an ARC from the author and all opinions are my own.
Epic! One Whopper of a Love Story was fabulous and sweet. I fell in love with the characters and their unique story immediately. This book made me laugh, and then almost made me cry when I finished it. I absolutely recommend this book.
Really cute story. Layla and Nico are an adorable couple. The frogs are a fun touch. I so enjoyed reading this one. A quick read that I am sure you will like. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
This is another funny, romantic comedy. Imagine wearing a mermaid costume & it's not even Halloween. Then being found by a police officer & having to explain why. An excellent read to lighten your day. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary opinion.
