If you told me I’d end up in handcuffs my first night back home in Holiday Hollow I’d have called you crazy.

Coming back to take over my family’s orchard, especially as an omega on my own, means I have one hell of a legacy to live up to. I guess it’s a good thing I’ve got the sweet pumpkin farmer next door and local handyman on my side. Now, if the sheriff would stop riling me up with his alpha vibes.

With the fall festival and my heat soon approaching I’ll have to find the perfect balance between life and love or risk losing everything I’ve worked so hard for.

As others noted, it was quite the sweet and low-angst omegaverse romance, but the story was a little undeveloped and not much really happened for how long the book was. I started skimming the book when I was looking forward to Boone explaining his significant relationship trauma to the FMC Autumn, but it ended up being a one-sentence summary without much details. I felt that all the characters were a little bland and not memorable, and I didn't really get any super distinguishing alpha and omega personalities I was expecting. The smut scenes were fun enough in general, but they were not enough to keep my interest throughout the whole book.

I'd recommend this book for readers looking for a cozy romance about small town living.

This book was horrible. It was so slow through the entire thing. I made myself read it because I hate not finishing a book. I hate how they’re just together without any romance before. I didn’t care for the shifter part either. It seemed super rushed and the good parts were short and the rest was information we didn’t need. Autumn seems slightly helpless throughout the entire book and personally I hate a helpless female main character who follows and submits to another male. The guys were sweet and friendly and I’m glad they made her feel welcome.

Dnf 47%. I tried to read it all the way but damn. I couldnt. Everything just seemed so surface level. It was like robots talking. And the way autumn just trusts people too like?? I thought you were from the city?? Wot happened to the main plot?? Girly was living with them within a week or so.

It feels almost morally wrong giving a book a 1 star review just because I didn’t like it (versus it being reprehensible)… so I’ve given this book 2 stars just to be kind.
I can’t believe I read the entirety of this book. It was so bad. SO much of this book happened off screen! What do you MEAN you’ve hinted at this guys trauma for 100 pages just to say “we ended up talking it through” without ever telling us what was discussed or ever bringing it up again!!!

If I could take back the time I lost reading this book, I would.

It's a cute punny omegaverse time, it's sweet and fluffy. A nice interconnected standalone and has some nice character development

4.4 stars.
Fluffy, fall themed, small town, brothers, big cutey with teddy bear vibes, sheriff, pumpkin farming neighbor, meet cute(ish lol), apple orchard, pie competition, everyone in town nosy and missing their cider….
Is that just a list of the things I remember about the book? Yes. Yes it is. Thank you for noticing. That’s what you get when I procrastinate writing the review for a little too long. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s all I got.
I remember not a single name. Oh wait. FMC is Autumn right?…Right? Maybe. Who truly knows. It’s an unsolved mystery. Ok. Bye.

Genre and tropes: omegaverse, Why Choose

Oh my dear fall-loving heart. This was so cute and sweet and cozy and gave me all the fall feels.

When I first heard about this book I was sold by the promise of a "Gilmore Girls"-vibe and all the autumnal things. I absolutely love fall!

This book did not disappoint. We have a fierce and fun fmc Autumn who wants to save her family orchard before possibly heading back to town and starting her career in marketing. She has no interesting in "packing up" as she puts it. Holiday Hollow is the town she heads to, ends up in handcuffs by the town sheriff alpha Hunter, making friends with her wonderful beta neighbour Jack and getting to know the silent handyman alpha Boone. Of course these three men happen to be in a pack...

This book is full of small town charm and fall feels. Its perfect for a fall evening, curled up under a blanket with a cup of tea and candles burning in the background. It has no unnecessary drama or angst, it's just a feelgood story of an omega who falls for love.

I'm not giving it 5 stars, because even though I absolutely loved the story and the characters, the writing felt a bit uneven and choppy at times, and I think this comes down to it being written by two authors. I was also left wishing for just a little bit more of tension or conflict, even though I loved how feelgood this was.

Like Stars Hollow in Gilmore Girls, Holiday Hollow was full of wonderful side characters. I can't wait to read more about them in the future!

Good but nothing too impressive

It's seeming to be an unfortunate trend - Jarica James alone is pretty great. With a coauthor the quality drops a bit.

This book feels excessively long compared to the amount of action that takes place. The simplest plot threads are dragged out and become a bit boring. There isn't an antagonist, which is ok but how does this 275+ page book feel like 400 when there isn't even a bad guy to resolve? Or maybe it's because there wasn't an antagonist that made it drag so much.

The quality of the editing/proofing is low, with several incorrect word uses, excessively awkward phrases and grammar errors throughout. Voices are visible? Pictures captivate our features instead of capturing them? Some of us choose to be solidarity instead of solitary? Typos and autocorrect fails happen but someone deserves a refund from the editors on this book.

The characters are on the bland side mostly. I don't hate any of the guys but I don't really love them either. Jack and Boone are pretty consistent and have great potential but somehow they just don't quite hit the book boyfriend list. Hunter is such a man child and a bit of a dirtbag early on. There's little true redemption for him just "hey let's forget my past and pretend I've always been devoted." Autumn is a weak FMC - rather self centered, rather incompetent and illogical despite her high level education. Even the side characters are pretty shallow. Theresa was bit&hy for no reason and then flipped like a pancake 3 seconds later. Riley is chaotic -super reliable but a bit of an oddball most of the time, something about the character just left me confused by him. Adrien is the most intriguing character and is only on page for about 1 page.

The story is very angsty considering the lack of anything bad happening. One chick just has to pull her power panties on, make a choice and roll with the consequences. Boom, HEA.

After all this, how is it still a 3 star read? There's some really decent humor. The last couple chapters really wrap up a super small town HEA. Boone. Somehow that slightly odd duck of an MMC wrapped himself into my heart and got a star all his own. Given an extra hundred pages of just him, Boone probably would hit my book bf list.

I wouldn't say it was horrible or anything. It is a sweet, nice story with a lot of small town charm, cute side characters. And yes, it is cheesy. There are a lot of fall allegories/similes. Even the scents matching the environment/the theme of the story (like Autumn smells like apples).

In general, it's a fluffy, feel good little tale with no great problems (so, low or more no anxiety).

So, why no 5 stars? It's pleasant, but not really exciting in any way. Most of the time nothing important happens, it just trickles along and stagnates. I don't like it, if stories are just prolonged with details and fillers without a real purpose. Or not significant information at all. It wasn't necessary. And the only interesting part of the story, I wanted to know about, wasn't even revealed to us (the past, bad experience the guys had with some woman). So, I just couldn't give it 5 stars. Even the 4 stars are a little too much in my opinion. I teeter between 3 and 3.5 stars. But 3 stars are not enough, and I can't give half stars.

So, I adjusted upward. But it's not really something I would rave about. I like a nice story, then and there. So, I'm okay with it. Just not what I hoped for. Even the epilogue wasn't up to my taste, because it wasn't really there to show how their future life will move forward, but more like an introduction to the next book. I will not read it immediately, because I need something different now.

Oof… Where to start.

Okay, it’s not TERRIBLE. I mean. it’s an omegaverse, I wasn’t expecting a sarah j maas plot story; but omfg! it’s so boring 🥲

I hate to say it, because in the beginning I really enjoyed it. I liked how our main character, Autumn, wanted to prove she could be a badass omega and own her own business, being all independent and shit. Which in all fairness, sticks throughout the book. So if you’re worried Autumn loses all passion for being a working woman when she falls in love with her pack, she most definitely does not! And she also meets many other omegas similar to her who also have packs and children - which was refreshing.

In the middle of the book though, it just gets so boring. There’s not really much going on after the roof of her old house gets blown off in a storm other than her and her guys going on dates and testing apple cider, I wish we got to see more of her building friendships.

Also!!! How did she go to this village every summer (or at least almost every summer) and never meet the guys? From what It seems like their mom is pretty influential in the community? And they just never crossed paths! I’ve said this in a previous review - but I live in a small tight knit community like this one and there’s no way they wouldn’t of met her - especially with how everyone knew and loved her grandparents.

Falling for Autumn is exactly what I hoped for in a Holiday Hollow romance—a warm, small-town setting, a dash of chaos, and plenty of omegaverse heat wrapped up in cozy, fall festival vibes.

Autumn’s return to her family’s orchard makes for a charming backdrop, and I loved how her journey blended legacy, community, and the vulnerability of being an omega trying to stand on her own. The supporting cast of love interests—the sweet pumpkin farmer, the dependable handyman, and the infuriatingly tempting sheriff—each brought their own flavor to the romance. Together, they made the pack dynamics both playful and steamy.

The romcom elements, from handcuffs on her first night back to small-town antics, kept things light and fun, while the looming heat added just the right edge of urgency. The story never lost sight of its heart, though—the sense of belonging, balance, and finding love that feels both safe and exhilarating.

Overall: Sweet, spicy, and full of small-town charm, Falling for Autumn is a perfect seasonal read. If you like your omegaverse with equal parts cozy and heat, this book delivers.

❝ “There’s a reason I call you pumpkin. It’s not just a silly pun. Pumpkins are my world, Autumn. And now so are you,” he said reverently. ❞

This was such a sweet and light hearted fall themed omegaverse romance. I absolutely loved the cozy feel and setting of Holiday Hollow.

Autumn is an independent omega who inherits her grandparents apple orchard. (My farming sim loving heart just loves this trope ok 🥹) She's determined to revive the family business, but nothing seems to go exactly to her plan.

Luckily she finds help and comfort in the form of Hunter, Jack, and Boone. They were all incredibly sweet and caring. No angst, just fluffy slice of life vibes, with some spice. 🔥

There were a few scenes I wish I'd actually gotten to see play out instead of just being told about. (Ie, what happened in Boone's past. I wish we got to hear that conversation rather than be told it happened with minimal details.)

Overall though I really enjoyed reading this and I'm looking forward to the next one.

lacks substance, the characters needed more development, their motivations felt wishy-washy and lacked focus

Not enough on page character interactions for the deep and meaningful stuff that builds a solid foundation for a good relationship. There was some well written moments of character banter and interactions for some everyday moments but it was all surface level stuff. The authors would have the fmc muse about the past chat, that we never read about, and how now the fmc understood past hurts or trauma that led to current emotional damages. Because the story just kept skipping to the mundane details and ignoring the hard topics, it dragged on a lot.

The spice was OK, no m/m. Felt a bit random and they would jump into bed then nothing for pages and pages and pages until the heat. The tease came after the initial intimacy. It felt very wierd.

The time line wasn't very clear. Sometimes if felt like a scene was the next day but then the character would use language that didn't match the time frame. Like everytime, or always or several, I had to keep checking if I missed something.

Small-town charm with omegaverse heat & sweetness

This was like Hallmark-holiday-romcom but omegaverse style and honestly I loved every second of the cheesy, rom-commy goodness. I love holiday movies but I’ve always wished for a more… contemporary (cough polyamorous cough) take on them and this absolutely scratched that itch. There are some borderline corny moments but it’s part of the charm and I wouldn’t change a thing!

The characters are fantastic and I love that while this particular WhyChoose situation didn’t have M/M there was absolutely no awkwardness about sharing or how things would work in the bedroom with two blooded brothers and one unofficially adopted. It felt very natural and shameless and lovely all around. Def recommend, especially if you’re looking for some warm fuzzies.

I really enjoyed this book. It was such a refreshing story to read after reading far too many dark bully romance stories. This is a very light read -- low on drama, no crazy save the world plotlines, and no abuse between characters.

I kind of expected to lose interest in this story because there wasn't a complex plot or villain in the story. I didn't lose interest at any point read the story in one sitting. I enjoyed the characters - Autumn was a strong female lead, but not annoying like most strong female characters are. I loved the small town charm of the story. It almost felt like a Hallmark movie without the drama.

I kind of wish we'd gotten to see more of Autumn with Hunter. This was a nice and quick reason. It didn't feel like it dragged and there wasn't a ton of unnecessary fluff. Looking forward to reading from more this series!

Falling for Autumn was the perfect afternoon read for the fall. With all things sweet, fall themed, and my favorite omegaverse themes, I just couldn't put it down! Autumn is determined to get her inherited apple orchard fully running again while also deciding what she wants to do with her degree back in the city. Of course she wasn't prepared for the two Alphas and the Beta that would steal her heart and show her where she was meant to be. Falling for Autumn has the kind of love we all wish we had, some delightful steamy moments, and all the little details that make for a wonderfully sweet story!

Oh this book was just what I needed when I didn’t know I needed it? You ever see those cutesy little Hallmark movies where the girl goes to a small town, but with the clear indication that she’ll be going back to the big city after this holiday thingy is over but cue in a good and sexy small town boy and her world turns upside down? So that’s this but with obviously more spice and throw in 2 more sexy men and an contemporary omegaverse twist and you got yourself a Hallmark holiday RH book! Absolutely loved this! It’s fun and light-hearted and an awesome read!

DNF (did not finish). What made the book unfinishable in your opinion?
Unfortunately, I found this book boring. Nothing was really going on. There was no real tension emotionally or romantically. I read to the 16% point in the book, and I lost interest. It is a cute story, but I would have liked a bit of something more to keep me interested. If you’re looking for a small town romance with little to no drama in a omegaverse then this is the book for you. This book was just not to my tastes.

Ah such a sweet story this is. Autumn is going back to her roots and her grandparents orchard trying to get the apple cider going again. When trying to enter the house a growls sheriff thinks she is trespassing. Thinking she doesn't belong. Cuffed and all he asks questions quickly realizing his mistake. Other guys she meets are equally awesome. One is the sheriff's brother. This is a fall love story and it gave me all the happiness I wanted. It is omegaverse and adorable.

Super sweet omegaverse! I’m glad there will be more…

This was an adorably cute tale. If you are looking for something to cuddle up and read by a fire, look no further! Autumn and her men are like the hug you didn’t know you needed, but expect it to get warm under there… They are a little sassy, but they’re a whole lot endearing as they spend the book courting this independent omega.

This is definitely a more feel good story than many of the omegaverse options. The conflicts are more realistic to the average person's life and not centered on some huge dubious plot by nefarious parties. Some of the characters (Adrian, Peter...) seemed almost unnecessary but I'm hoping that is because their story will play out in a later book. Overall this was a very sweet story that still had the spice, though I would have loved some more of our reluctant alpha and Autumn.

Perfect mix of pumpkin spice, sweet, and smexy! Autumn returns to her childhood home to take over her family’s apple orchard and cider mill. An omega with a business degree, she’s had to work extra hard for everything she has. But can she have it all with the local sheriff, his pumpkin baking brother, and their hardware store owner best friend? 💜

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this genre and was genuinely surprised with how much I enjoyed it. The world building and characters were written really well, the storyline gets you invested in the outcome. All three of the men bought something different that autumn needed. Overall it was sweet and spicy and a real joy to read

3.5 stars, extra sweet OV

This is a NO angst, OV RH. Take a hallmark movie and put an OV filter over it, add in a couple knots and you’ve this is what comes out. It’s a cute story and I don’t regret reading it at all, but if you’re looking for something with lots of spice and tension, this isn’t it. A great palate cleanser though!

Fall being my favorite season made this one an easy decision to read. Very little angst and drama made this a great change up from the darker books I typically read. Lots of sweet moments and the right balance between steamy scenes and storyline. Definitely recommend!! Fell in love with all the characters!
