A whole anthology full of alpha-males? I’m in.
This definitely did not disappoint. A lot of different tropes are covered through this book. It definitely satisfied my shifter fix. I also loved that I got to read some new authors! This is a win in my book!

This was a fun collection of shifter stories that all had HEA's. I knew a few authors, like Sam Crescent, Stacey Espino, Lila Fox but others like Raven Hush and Helen Walton were totally new-to-me. I love anthologies for the chance to sample a new author's work and these stories did not disappoint. Each story had interesting characters, a strong alpha and a steamy romance. Good fun!

This was such a great collection of stories. There were plenty of new to me authors in this one and I’ve definitely found some new storytellers to check out.
I really liked how each story was so different and the spice levels varied from hot to seriously on fire!

Kira, the female panther lead, was always bullied and abused by her pack as a whole. On her 18th birthday, she leaves. Rowan, the male panther lead and young alpha of the pack, sees her go and tries to intercept her but has no authority.
Five years later, Kira returns to bury her father and pack up his home. She is angered by the pack’s condolences, given they didn’t care about her father when he was alive. Then she and Rowan realise they are fated mates. She has no interest and is willing to do anything to break the bond…
This short story is dual POV, well written, and an interesting enemies to lovers romance. I enjoyed Kira’s strength and the skills she’d developed whilst she was away. I enjoyed Rowan’s grovel and his willingness to sacrifice whatever Kira needed if she would mate him. I enjoyed the interactions between both lead and secondary characters. My favourite in the whole anthology.
Just His Luck by Kait Gamble

Magnus, the male bear shifter lead, is frustrated with the way things have been disappearing from his property. Setting a trap, he catches Nari, the female none-tailed fox shifter lead, currently trapped in human form by a collar placed by her abductors when they took her from Seoul. Magnus doesn’t want a mate but he also doesn’t want shifter game hunters in his forest.
This short story is dual POV, well written, and a fast paced, sexy romance. I enjoyed Nari’s resilience and willingness to fight back. I enjoyed Magnus’ contrasting strength and gentleness. I enjoyed their intimate interactions. A fun read.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a lovely, love overcoming personal barriers romance. I enjoyed Kieran’s approach to Rain’s very reasonable barriers. I enjoyed Rain’s slowly growing trust of him and his sister. I was amused by his sister.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and sweet and steamy romance. I enjoyed Xander’s persistence in building Willa’s self esteem. I enjoyed Willa’s character development.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, Dom/untrained sub romance. I enjoyed Willow’s gentle strength and her willingness to do what she needed to for survival. I enjoyed Rafe’s immediate claim upon her and the choices he genuinely made available to her. I appreciated their relationship development, speedy though it was.

Now she’s stuck with no job and no partner and no idea what to do. Then Toren appears and claims her. But there’s a rival alpha trying to claim his land, and Katee might just be the leverage he needs…
This short story is dual POV, well written, and a fast paced, sweet and steamy read. I enjoyed Katee’s determination not to let Toren trap her, especially since he hadn’t explained what was happening. I enjoyed Toren’s bewilderment that she wouldn’t just fall in line. I enjoyed the resolution and the make up scenes.

But she’s only half wolf and not a shifter and the pack will not be pleased.
This short story is dual POV, well written, and a cute hidden identity romance.

But her parents have already arranged a marriage for her, as is normal in their culture…
This short story is dual POV, and I appreciated that the female lead was Asian. I empathised with the care she felt for her parents and their plans, even when those plans didn’t suit her. I enjoyed Ivor’s attempts to convince her to stand up for her own choices, and her final decision to break away.

This is the first anthology that I have read and looked forward to reading ALL the stories. There are no boring stories. I will attempt a short review of each story.
Fray
Raven Rush
The first story in this book. When you have an opening like the one in this story, you know you are in for a good time. This is a shifter story with all new kinds of animals and it is worth reading and a worthy story to open up all the others.
Unlikely mates
Jade Marshal
Oh my! my!! Once you start their story you are hooked. This is a refreshing enemies to lovers story. This is told in a perspective that keeps you longing for more. It is an interesting story which will keep you hooked until the end.
Luna Hunted
Helen Walton
Interesting read. Loved how the story flowed. The past was re-told in a way to help us understand the present and where the story started. Highly recommended.

Willa Young is living a solitary life just about making ends meet working at a university library and tutoring students on the side. But she’s reached a stalemate with her latest student Tyson, he seems to abhor everyone and quite clearly doesn’t have any interest in learning business. So when he asks her to appeal to his father about leaving university she agrees, it was a quick phone call and it ends with him coming to visit. Willa is shocked by her reaction to Xander Blackhawk when they meet for the first time she feels connected to him in a way that she can’t deny, and the way he is looking at her it looks like he’s feeling the same way. Little does she know that this moment will change her life forever, but beneath the surface is a secret she could never guess, and a danger she has no idea exists. How will Willa react when she knows the truth, will she let her heart rule her head for once and is she prepared to risk it all for love?
Xander Blackhawk is a successful business man and also a werewolf shapeshifter and not only that but the alpha of the pack, he is hopeful that one day his son Tyson will rule by his side, so he is determined for him to get an education but so far that is proving impossible. Especially as he harbours bitterness and resentful feelings towards humans after believing that they killed his mother when he was young. Hiring him a tutor seemed the only option, but when a phone call from her with concerns he decides enough is enough and makes a trip to put this to bed once and for all. Walking into the library he gets the shock of his life, he can smell his mate, the one he had given up hope of ever finding at his age of forty four. He knows that he can’t leave without her and sets about trying to win her heart. But when she learns the truth will she accept that they are meant to be together, or will a darker force take her away, how will Tyson react to the real reason for his mothers death?
Loved this short story, there was everything you could ask for. Great things about books like these is you get introduced to many authors and ones that I’ll be checking out in the future. 4.5* reads.

The Anthology of the Alpha Males
This anthology is packed with shifter stories that’ll introduce new characters, old favourites and some great authors. Fray by Raven Hush is Book 2 in the Club Fray series; Rafe, the owner of club Fray, is instantly smitten by Willow. Can predator and prey make it work? This one was plenty spicy, which I quite enjoyed. Unlikely Mates by Jade Marshall has Rowan and Kira coming together against the odds; this story had a nice redemption arc, and I enjoyed the side characters as well. Dragons Don’t Share by Lily Harlem has one wonderfully possessive dragon and his fated mate - who’s engaged in an arranged marriage to another. The grand gesture was completely wild, and I loved how he gets the girl in the end. Love at First Scent by Sarah Marsh was such a fun read. Caro and Craig were such a sweet couple - I loved their happily ever after! Foresaken Omega by Winter Sloane is a story of strength and acceptance with a wonderfully dramatic ending. The other stories in this anthology are just as good as the ones I highlighted. Overall, a great set of stories.

Alpha Male is an anthology filled with shifter novellas. Most of the novellas are about wolf shifters, but there are a few stories with a panther and dragon shifter thrown in. I'm going to start off by saying all these authors are new to me but Sam Crescent. My final thoughts on this book are that I'm underwhelmed, and found this book a complete waste of my time. I felt like I was looking for a needle in a haystack, looking for a decent book. I ranked every book under 3 stars, but 4 stories. I love a great shifter romance; these stories are lackluster. Below are the gems I found in this anthology.

This novella was so sweet, tender, filled with adventure and heat 🥵 Faedra created another wonderful story with one strong and open minded FMC, Asha. She is a chaos witch who finds her strength and is a natural born leader. Her fated mate, Erik... Wowza 🫠🫠 I would cuddle him during the day and let him sing my praises at night. He's the sweetest alpha. He wants nothing more than to make his mate feel safe and to let her flourish. This novella was just cozy and felt so wholesome. I absolutely loved it!!!

This was a good set. There was definitely a theme with the alpha males, but there was still variety. I am pretty sure they are all new and while I didn't like a couple of them much it was easy enough to skip forward. And I definitely liked the majority of the stories. There is a good number and the collection feels like a good length without being too long and getting overwhelming.

At first I was interested in this anthology because I saw that Sam Crescent was one of the authors listed, but I enjoyed this entire collection. It was fun to read so many stories by authors that were new to me. It’s a one stop for Alpha male paranormal romance. The stories are entertaining and the characters are well created. Overall, a great paranormal romance set worth getting!

Going in, I was only familiar with Lily Harlem, she’s one of my favourite authors, and her novella Dragons Don’t Share is fantastic, so exciting and filled with fire-y hotness. I loved it! The Alpha Male Anthology includes thirteen sizzling paranormal shifter novellas that are filled with passion, heat and heart! I’ve also found some great new-to-me authors.

I read quite a few authors in this anthology - Jade Marshall, Beth D. Carter, Lila Fox, Sam Crescent & Stacey Espino.
Overall there are some really good stories in this anthology, however, there were a few I didn't really care for which is why I gave this three stars. Jade Marshall's story has characters from the Katu Wolves Series, which led me to check out that series.

So good. Love the different shifter stories with a few authors that I'd not read before. There are shifters who find their mates in the most unlikely places. There is such a diversified collection with Bear shifters, Dragon shifters, wolf shifters, you have spice, curvy woman, tension, action, and soulmates. I found so many stories that I enjoyed and authors that I already read. Great collection.

As a whole, the entire anthology was okay.
I really think I just wanted more in many of the stories I did read.
Of course, there were a few stories that I just didn't like (like the BDSM one, but only because it's not 'my thing'), but there were others that just took me so long for a short story to finish because they just didn't keep my interest.
The 3 star is the average for the entire collection. However, there are a few that I would give 4 or 5 stories for had they not been in the collection.

His Curvy Mate-This is one of numerous short stories in this book. It is well written and very entertaining. The Alpha wolf, Zander finds his mate in the most unlikely place. Willa, a human, was not what he expected but the attraction was intense. There is danger and it has to be dealt with, which adds additional excitement to the story. I loved the story and would definitely recommend it as a great read.

I loved this anthology as it had several authors I love reading. Sam Crescent and Stacey Espino, Sarah Marsh, Cooper McKenzie............they've all written great little stories. If you like paranormal with some really hot shifters, this is the anthology for you!!!!

I just read Unlikely Mates and loved it Kira and Rowan are they or aren't they going to be it's a hot sweet sexy shifters, it's Been 5 years she's back for family obligations and Rowan didn't dream of his fated mate.

This paranormal romance anthology is a great place to start if you haven't read any of the authors before. Each story is about an alpha male but that is where the similarity ends. Get yourself comfortable with a cuppa & enjoy as each author takes you on a journey. Definitely worth 5 stars.

I love a good anthology. This gives you alpha male characters and a lot of different varieties. Anthologies give us just a bit of a story but these packed a punch.

Really enjoyed the variety, steam, characters and varied aspects of this 13 book collection. Some new authors have peaked my interest and I will be checking them out more. Loved that some of my favorite authors were also here. Perfect to binge read as you can not stop at just one. Definite recommend.

There's something for everyone. You'll enjoy this read. I had fun finding new authors and reading my first story from them. Each of their writing styles are unique. There was never a dull moment. I steadily binged them all. Now I grew my tbr.

Wow, super sexy and hot! There are a lot of great stories in this collection. And honestly they are all really great. Of course everyone will have a few favorites that stand out, but they are all really good. Definitely won’t be disappointed.

This is a good collection of short stories of the paranormal realm. The stories are all about shifters of all kinds. They come together or have known each other for years, then bam they are mates and will do all that they can to prove their love and that they have matured since being young. The love that grows is out of this world.
