Liam ‘Viking’ Callahan is the ex-body man for The Road Devils MC, and by a series of horrible circumstances, he finds himself over in the mountains in Utah, disposing of yet another piece of evidence. He drives away and thinks that the mess is over, his obligation to his club and brothers met. What he doesn’t know is that he has a stowaway hidden in the back of his van, a woman desperately fleeing her personal hell on earth.
Iris has been planning her escape from Gideon and The Garden of Divine Light for six months, and is nothing but horrified when she comes across a man in the forest, smack in her escape route, clearly up to nothing good… but he’s still better than what she’s running from, so into the van she goes.
When the Road Devils discover Iris, they start to put the pieces together about who she is, what she’s been through, and why she ran into the winter night wearing only a nightgown and men’s boots. She’s down but not out, and she’s fiercely determined to start her life again – on her own terms this time – and part of that is her desire to not fear a man’s touch, a man’s kiss, a man’s body. And the only man that she feels safe around is the six-foot-seven, gentle, wildly-handsome Viking.
Viking and Iris slowly move towards each other, learning to trust each other, completely unaware that danger is coming their way. Gideon wants his property back, and he will stop at nothing to make sure that happens…
Marysol James was raised in a small town in Canada and is still a small-town girl at heart. She's a cancer survivor, cinnamon bun lover, and hardcore caffeine addict.
Marysol crosses genres in her writing, happily and enthusiastically. To date, she's published 30 steamy, sexy, slinky Contemporary Erotic Romances spread over five different series, including the Amazon and iBooks best selling 'Unseen Enemy', 'Dangerous Curves', and 'Road Devils MC' series. Her books incorporate action and adventure, suspense, military elements, and some surprising plot twists and turns.
Besides her romances, Marysol also writes crisp, clever, Contemporary Literature. It can be dark and provocative at times, and magical realism features heavily in her books. She loves moving between the worlds of magical realism and glorious romance, and she's grateful every day to be able to do both.

The heroine was more likable than Zoe in book one but the story was kind of meh. Viking was a likable H, but sometimes these biker’s said things that sounded very chick-like. Also, the cult angle I’ve read many times and this one was a bit odd. Pet peeve- when other women in the story are described as stunning, gorgeous, etc. -it takes away from the h who only gets a fairly favorable physical assessment.
Third person and multiple characters make me think this is last book from this author for me. 🙁
I blinked and this was over. I swear act 3 came after like 2 weeks of her starting her new life with the mc. Viking is so sweet tho #lovehim and seeing wolf all alpha mode was funny. Plus who doesn’t love a bat shit crazy cult story!!! I think this is where I’ll leave the series tho even tho I love the guys books to come (was really interested in Ice but the premise for his books isn’t gripping me) it’s just a bit too repetitive now.
