GRIM LEGION, a story of Edgar Allan Poe at West Point. It is a little-known fact that Edgar Allan Poe was expelled from the U.S.Military Academy at West Point in 1831 after only six months as a cadet. To this day, the reasons for the 21-year-old poet's court martial remain murky at best. GRIM LEGION liberally borrows from Poe's own life and fills in where the historical record leaves off. This novel of suspense starts with a murder, and then another... Young Poe is soon plunged into the world of horror, mystery and intrigue that is his destiny.

My friend’s dad’s book! I like that I now know so much extra stuff about Poe, he’s an interesting historical figure given how many states can lay claim to housing him in his life, had no idea about his stint at West Point.

A page-turner. Pure fun but not without some historical perspective. Had the opportunity to meet the author, a nice man who is very enthusiastic about the history of the region in which the book is set.
