That is until a few days later when Brooke is promoted and tasked with handling The Mercenaries pro-football team’s legalities and their new quarterback’s squeaky clean reputation who happens to be the charming and handsome provider of her weekend’s delights, Drew Erickson.
I can always count on Lauren Blakely’s stories to put a smile on my face. They're like champagne, bubbly and effervescent, fun and sexy. TWO A DAY is all of this plus thoughtful sex hacks and witty banter.
I loved both Drew and Brooke individually and as a couple. She’s a smart and sassy lawyer who’s afraid of taking risks and getting hurt. Drew takes risks for a living. He’s a good son, brother and all around nice person, who likes to set a good example.
They complement each perfectly. They’re adorable and sizzling hot and I loved reading how their relationship grew and they navigated the obstacles that they faced.
If you’re a LB fan you’ll love the appearances by characters in her universe like Milo from The Virgin Next Door. If you’ve never read a LB but love fun and lighthearted rom-coms, this is might be a great book for you.

Well, sort of. Lol.
Two a Day is a forbidden office romance between a quarterback and a lawyer that actually ends up becoming a fake dating, but real dating mess on the professional front.
The pun-y inside jokes run amuck and I loved it! But more importantly, the dirty talk is fantastic! We’ve got a heroine who has a hard time getting out of her head long enough to enjoy her bedtime fun when others come to play. So, her hero gets her head involved in the fun in the very best ways.
I loved it! It’s a quick and easy read that’s very contemporary. I admit, that some of the verbiage wasn’t my favorite…jelly for jealous for example. I know that’s something people say, but I don’t know, maybe it feels too contemporary? Either way, the story is fun, the characters are well-rounded, and the secondary cast is huge and exciting! I’m looking forward to reading more about the heroine’s sister in another story.
Five stars, three and a half chili peppers, highly recommend for fans of short, sweet, contemporary romance.

Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Drew and Brooke) TWO A DAY follows in the wake of a one-night stand between our leading couple. As the attorney for the professional football team The Mercenaries, Brooke knows the true identity of her one-night stand but she was heart broken when he never called. Brooke Holland is appointed the team attorney for both professional sports teams owned by Carlisle Enterprises including The Mercenaries, but to Brooke’s astonishment, her one-night stand, Andrew ‘Drew’ Adams is the new quarterback for the Mercenaries in the wake of a player injury, the team for which she is hired to represent. Drew Erickson just wanted a day off at the beach after another crappy practice as a quarterback with his NFL team. He is a funny and good guy, and a team player, but is struggling. He never expected to meet the best distraction.
Brooke is a smart and sassy lawyer who has also had a bad week with her professional and personal life and she just wanted to get away, read, and enjoy her day. Meeting Drew proved to be a big bonus.
From Meet-Cute to afternoon delight, these two dazzle each other with their personalities and their chemistry together is amazing. But of course, things in their life could not be THAT simple...
When full disclosure and some life changes occur, they find themselves in a situation they never saw coming with added complications.
What do you do when you meet someone with great potential, fabulous chemistry, fun banter, and who understands your work world, but then they become off-limits?
Follow the rules?
Ride a thin line?
Totally break them and hope you do not get caught?
This is a sexy, sweet, witty, forbidden romance set in a football world. Drew and Brooke and fire and fun. I totally loved them both. Brooke is more of a deep thinker, risk-averse, and afraid of getting hurt. Drew is more of a gambler and risk-taker. They are both good-natured people-pleasers that like to set a good example, but it does not stop their want, need, and the fact that they also want to be happy. Together they challenge each other and truly enjoy time together even when they are sneaking around. They have some unique challenges and will have to navigate them to figure out what they really need to succeed in life and in their careers.
I loved seeing cameos from quite a few characters in the LB universe. I liked her sister, Ally, and his friend, Patrick. I am so intrigued by Carter, Maddox, and Gabe. Bring on more stories set in the LB sports world!

I’m not sure that there is a genre that Lauren Blakely isn’t good at. Two A Day was a well written and entertaining sports romance that ticked all the boxes for me.
I was hooked on this story from the first chapter and read it in almost one go. I adored Brooke Holland and don’t get me started on Drew Erickson. I fell for him hard and fast, what a sweet, romantic, dirty talking, swoon worthy man he is.
Their meet cute was unusual when Brooke rescues Drew from a paddle boarding incident and their connection is immediate. After a passionate night together they agree to another date but thanks to a prank by a friend and a series of miss communications Brooke is convinced that Drew has ghosted her.
Suddenly finding themselves working for the same franchise they decide it would be best to stay as friends only. However the attraction that sizzles between them continues to build until it explodes.
However it is the witty banter, genuine friendship, mutual respect for one another that develops that took this book to another level for me. The secondary cast of characters just added to the fun. This book is a little gem and one I absolute devoured, it was that good.
Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke did a wonderful job with their narration. They brought the playfulness and passion of the blossoming relationship to life with voices that are easy to listen to.

Brooke and Drew each needed to let go of a rough week, which is what sent each of them separately to the same beach. When their meet cute turns into an easy date and then into a spicy encounter, they make plans for a second date to see where things go. But before that second date can happen, news of Drew’s trade hits and throws a complication in their plans.
These two were hot together. From the moment they met the sparks were flying. Once they learned there was a work complication, the brakes were thrown but it couldn’t truly hide the spark. The forbidden aspect was a strong part of what kept them apart and did help to build heir friendship outside of the bedroom, but there were a few times I just wanted them to figure it out so it wasn’t the big elephant in the room.
I loved the addition of Drew’s family to the story. He is so sweet with his mom and sisters and I loved that softer side of him. The team added some fun moments as well. This is a good group of teammates and I look forward to seeing more from them.
This was a spicy, swoony forbidden romance with football as the backdrop. I always love returning to Lauren Blakely’s worlds and the way the characters are interwoven between all her books. This is entirely a standalone, though there are two books slated to follow in the series, each focusing on a different couple. I look forward to returning to this line again!

He probably would have been OK but Brooke wasn’t taking any chances when the hottie out in the water seemed to be in trouble. She doesn’t let on that she recognizes him as a football player and that makes her a breath of fresh air. He is tired of woman going after him because of his profession.
Their sweet meeting turns into an unforgettable night that leads them to believe there could be something between them. However, before they get the second date, they learn that Brooke now works for the football team.
Even though they should keep things professional, there is no stopping these two from falling. Texting leads to more in person meet-ups and then it’s all downhill from there if they thought they could keep their hands to themselves. The fun banter makes everything easy and the dirty talk makes everything hot! There are some twists but it just makes these two work better and I loved that there is no drama and they are mature and honest about the situation.
Overall, I loved Two A Day. It’s first book in the Dating Games series and I can’t wait for more!!!

Did I love this one? Yes, yes I did.
I love forbidden romance, and Drew and Brooke meet when there is no issue with them dating and have an instant connection that they immediately explore.
And then she thinks he is blowing her off, due to a hilarious (but totally plausible) phone snafu.
Once they finally get that all sorted out, they discover that they actually can't go on their planned date that night as they are now coworkers and the team attorney really shouldn't date the quarterback.
No matter how much they both wish this wasn't the case.
The rest of the book, the real fun of it, is them figuring out how to make this work because they both want it to...but both have reasons outside of the relationship to question if it's even a good idea. The delight of this story is is the characters. You like them and you want it to work out for them so badly that how well it works out in the end, and how believable it is, is absolutely going to leave you with a smile.
For those of you, me included, who couldn't tell the quarterback from the (I am literally drawing a blank for other position names on a football team, which wasn't intentional but is making my point) whatever, it's fine. Yes, there are some sports moments, as they both work in sports, but if you are not a sports person, it's still a fantastic read, so don't let that stop you from reading this one.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

For those of you, me included, who couldn't tell the quarterback from the (I am literally drawing a blank for other position names on a football team, which wasn't intentional but is making my point) whatever, it's fine. Yes, there are some sports moments, as they both work in sports, but if you are not a sports person, it's still a fantastic read, so don't let that stop you from reading this one.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Sweet dirty-talking afternoon delight?! Yes, please! Two a Day by Lauren Blakey was a witty, flirty, and spicy football romance that put the biggest grin and a few blushes on my face! This book starts off HOT, then turns a little bit forbidden, and ends with a whole lot of love. Drew and Brooke have quite the memorable first encounter that only gets better and hotter from there. Who knew a paddleboard mishap and margaritas could lead to forever?
Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke narrate this audiobook, and both did an amazing job with Lauren’s words. Rose portrayed Brooke, a sports lawyer, with sass, grace, and confidence as she gave into her true feelings and went after what she desired! Jason’s performance of Drew, a professional quarterback, was hilarious, swoon-worthy, and oh-so-tempting (hello dirty talk!) as he discovered he could truly have football and the love of his life! Plus, the chemistry between Brooke and Drew goes from light and fun to sinful and sexy fast!
Overall, I LOVED this audiobook! If you are a fan of a forbidden football romance with a hunky all-star quarterback, a fiercely determined lawyer, Venice Beach, romance books, tacos, cooking lessons, hilarious text conversations, Whac-a-Mole, Skee-Ball, traffic steam, ass spanking, fake relationships, old movies, and a HEA that delivers all the delicious innuendos that will melt your heart, then you will love Drew and Brooke’s romance. Whenever I read a LB novel, it takes me to a happy place. The stories aren’t overly complicated and they flow really well, to the point of reading the whole book in one sitting. There are always enchanted upbeat characters that make me feel good, and brings a smile to my face, each and every time. You can’t help but fall in love with the main characters and cheer them on to reach their HEA. It’s not just the leading roles, even the secondary characters you’ll want to know more about. And LB delivers on all counts without exception.
I truly love a sports romance, I appreciate their dedication to be the best and I feel that plays out within their personal lives too. Drew was devoted to his family and his team and had found a balance between them. Although relationships can be tricky, he wanted to take things further with Brooke. He also wanted to show her how enthusiastic he could be to achieving their goals. I adored him! I loved the cover, and when within the book he was smiling, that visual was extremely handy to help set the scene. He wasn’t prefect, none of us are but he also was mature enough to know when he made a mistake and set about rectifying the problem. Brooke was a sweetheart too, patience galore and I loved she didn’t hold a grudge.
If you have read LB before, you’ll know when I say this is one to grab and devour asap. If you’re new to this author, this is the ideal book / series to start with.

I'm all about football season as it's tied for number one happy place with reading, so when I get a book about football, yeah, I end up being a happy camper, and I LOVED LOVED LOVED Two a Day! I laughed a lot at Brooke & Drew's first meeting, and there's no doubt the sparks were flying. As both were in the same place for some relaxation from their problems/stress, those sparks ignited quickly. They were planning to see each other after, but something got mixed up so neither could reach out to the other. Little did they both know that they would end up working together as she's the attorney for the new team he's under center for, so anything they would hope to have is a tad forbidden. Let me tell you, the dirty talk & humor were life, and you already know it wouldn't take long before they were breaking the rules because their connection would not be denied for anything. Two a Day was an amazing story that I easily devoured in one sitting with great characters & heat set in a football world, and you don't want to pass this one up! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

How does LB always make no not so favourite tropes work for me?
Forbidden romance is one of the tropes I can never get behind because it usually results in all this drama and angst. But not this book this was a perfect balance of the forbidden.
Drew is the football fella and Brooke is the lawyer and never the two shall meet. Just kidding. They have this awesome meet cute, and they hit it off. I loved the sexy banter and how they are not afraid to be themselves. She normally isn't so out there, and it works because she opens up.
He makes it work, and the sparks oh they fly. I really liked his family too how he includes them; they are not an afterthought.
I need more from this world this team, the camaraderie from the guys it really does stand out and I want more of the fellas!

Yes an other 5 star. Can not resist the charaters Lauren Blakely create, wrote about. A crazy attraction and steam what can give else then more steam. The language they use is so seductive that wouls seduse anyone. And the play a difficult game, forbide but there must be a solution. And we have to bet they found it. Can not wait the next one.

Cute couple, fake dating/err, pretend fake dating? She works for the team he just got traded to. Before that, they met on the beach when he took a tumble while stand-up paddleboarding.
Funny banter, some good spice, and I love how LB weaves in characters and places from her books.

I absolutely loved this book and the characters. Instant attraction and I was so happy they never gave up on each other and their work situations.

I really enjoyed Drew and Brooke's story. For me, it's a fast-paced, sweet and fun story. There was no unnecessary drama. I loved the banter and chemistry between them. And really, it all just seems easy between them until Drew had to learn to balance football and their relationship.

Ok this one was super cute and didn’t feel as spiced up as another book in this series (plays well with others) no hate to the spice but there’s got to be a story to go along with it and I found that in this book!

This is the story of an innocent, not so innocent meeting on the beach brings the best thing in your life! Drew meets Brooke after a bad surfing incident and fate stepped in and they both found the ONE. Funny, sexy, spellbinding ride of entertainment are what you are getting from this amazing love story!!! This rom-com is captivating and the introspection each characters brings forth gives us a real view of what dating is now all about. Absolute great story!
