*I read the book in July 2023 and reviewed it in November 2023. I have read this book. This was the second book of Aacharya Prashant that I have read. My purpose in reading was to know a little bit about Vedas and Upanishads. The author Shri Prashant Tripathi is a well-known person in the field is vedant. A person can know about vedant in various ways. Swami Vivekananda was a Vedanta philosopher. For the current scenarios, Aachaya Prashant is famous and relevant. I got to know various concepts of Upanishad like Chetna, Mann, vriti and many more. The book is deep but can be read by the beginner. This book can provide a base for Bhagwat Geeta and other Vedic texts.
This book demands rereading. All the best. Btw this is my first Goodreads book review. I hope I have given my best.
A good introduction to Spiritualism, Hinduism through its origin: Vedas, debunks many myths about spirituality. Sometimes, a conversational explanation seems overwhelming to grasp the concept. Maybe it's designed to help, but it becomes a kind of obstacle (at least to me). Heavily recommended as the beginner-level book for people interested in Spiritualism, and Hinduism.
The book which hits you like a knife of truth. Please read the book only after knowing the author for sometime (he is immensely popular on social media). The concept of Vedant and teachings of Upanishads are clearly explained in the book. It challenges your existence as a whole. On a true spiritual journey, one must read this book to understand what is to be not known !
This book I read for two times and yet I will be read again. Really such a Great book for me because it's provide knowledge about the Indian Philosophy about self and the entire existence. This book give me clarity to decode the mirage of illusion.
A book that you can call base or foundation of vedanta. Without this book it will be a little difficult to understand things like self, maya, and many other things that are base of vedanta. So, book is must read
Upanishads or Vedant put in a practical and seemingly true way. Liked the practical side of it that challenges most of the farcical rituals practiced in Hinduism.
The ultimate teaching of "Vedanta" is "Niti-Niti" which is negation of anything that doesn't march oneself towards liberation. This book helped me to apply this core principle to negate *wrong connection* & addiction from my life.
