I Love Genie #1

Wishful Thinking

Rate this book
Fran and Francesca have been friends forever but now Francesca's morphing into someone super-sophisticated. She's hanging out with the cool crowd, including school pin-up Quinn Adams (though she's most definitely "not" one of his hopeless-loser groupies). Fran's getting tired of being left in the background and wishes that just " once" someone would notice her wit, talent and all-round greatness. She's about to find out that sometimes wishes can come true, but not always in the way you expected . . .

When I first started this book I thought that maybe I was to old to enjoy it because I thought it was a bit immature *Hides Hannah Montana dvds*. And I was mega annoyed that Rose named the main character Fran and then called her best friend Francesca. Why!!!? Then the Genie showed up with the most rubbish wish granting powers ever. Oh you get seven wishes but they don't last for more than seven hours. Which means you can't wish for any of the cool stuff like money, a massive house, a car etc because they won't be there the next day. But then as I read more and saw how Frans best friend was slowly ditching her for the cool kids, I felt bad for her and started to enjoy the story more. And I loved the Genie, best character in the book by far. This is not an amazing read but it's still worth a read.

I read it when I was 16 years old-which is a long time ago, and I liked it! haha.. Well, when I remembered the story now though, I think the story was somewhat normal and boring. Perhaps suitable for teenagers only.

I picked this book up for a light kinda read and somehow, it was been really amazing. The language is simple, the story which I initially thought was predictable, wasn't afterall. I absolutely loved reading this one❤

Entertaining story, much orientalism, but then again, it's expected for a book of the time

I loved this book so much I give it a 4.5.
The story takes place around london around a girl called Fran, who's life is nothing but a bit boring, a normal busy family and a best friend who's starting to hang with the popular kids and stop being the best friend Fran used to know.
Fran's so fed up when her friend steal the limelight that she finds herself lost at a corner shop where she discovers a magic ring and thats where Ash (sarcastic and cheeky) comes into the story and the advertures start.

This book was very YA, chik-lit and would make a great book to read in bed.
I loved the ending and I loved Fran's character their wasn't a time in the book where I hated her.
There is a sequel to this book and deffinetly want to read it now.

I fell in love with this book and the characters in it. The author wrote it well to describe how the characters feel during certain circumstances. I definitely enjoyed reading and admire Fran's and Ash's personality. As a 15-year old, I could just imagine how Ash and Quinn look like and fell in love with their handsome image I had imagined... And I am currently having a big crush on Ash. I'm definitely buying the next book of the series to meet my lovely Ash again.

I really enjoyed this book. It definitely not the type of book I'd go for but I just loved everything about it. I would love for there to be a second book or for the ending to be a tad longer. The plot twist at the end was not excepted... at all. Sorry for a short review but all in all I really liked it!

I absolutely love this book, and I think the ending is a bit of a shock. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
