I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you Robin Maderich and Xpresso Book Tours. I'm excited to be a part of this tour. Now for my review ...
When the Heart Brings you home is a beautiful collection of three novellas set in Connor Falls. This plot of this book is about relationships and finding our place in the world. Perfect for the holidays, these stories remind the reader what is important in life. Each story is a standalone and are so well written you will not want to put this one down.

Each of the stories are intriguing and kept me engaged from start to finish. These stories are light reads and I read them so fast I didn’t want them to end. What I loved most is the subplot that everyone was in Connor Falls for a reason, whether they knew it or not, and must learn what is important to them. This gave the stories depth and had me wondering why they were there while rooting for them to figure it out. It also had me thinking about what is important to me. This book is reminiscent of Scrooge but with a positive spin.

The characters are brilliantly written and the chemistry between adds genuineness to the stories.

I highly recommend and can’t wait to revisit Connor Falls and this wonderful cast of characters!

Thank you to Xpressobooktours for the copy in exchange for my honest review.

For this short story collection I only really loved one of the stories and the other two were just okay.

The one I loved was the first one that was Winter Light. I absolutely loved the characters in this one and how they were able to work through a tough situation. The father in this one really put his foot down when it came to someone that was causing pain to him and his daughter and I was so proud of that. It allowed them to have a fresh start of sorts and finally move on from what they had been dealing with for two years. The new relationship that happened as well between the little girl and the bookshop owner was so sweet and absolutely heartwarming to see happen. This story wrapped up wonderfully and I was happy with the ending.

The second story Light the Heart Home was a sweet sibling story. We get to see these siblings get close to one another again after having not really spent any time together for several years now due to life and work getting in the way. Now they have a chance though to reconnect and maybe even have fresh starts for both of them in this small town. The one sister had already re-established herself and really fell in love with the town again, and the other sister was able to see the joy again about the town they grew up in and how going home isn't a bad thing. It can mean a chance at a new start and being close to loved ones again. I do feel that this one should have been a bit longer because I still have questions.

My least favorite was the last one Home for the Holidays. I felt like this one had so much potential, but it just had too much going on that made it not work well in short story format for me. We never really got to know anybody very well and so many things were left unfinished that it left me dissatisfied.

This is an enchanting collection of three novellas that are centered around the holiday season in a small town. The characters draw you in and there is a great group of family and friends that remind you what and who truly matters in your life.

It is wonderful to have these three stories in one book as it gives you a greater experience with both the town of Connor Falls and the people who live there.

When the Heart Brings You Home is a beautiful collection of three novels set in Connor Falls. This plot of the book is about relationships and finding your place in the world. Perfect for the holidays, these stories remind readers of what's important in life. Each story is unique and so well written that you don't want to write it down.

Every story was interesting and captivating from beginning to end. These stories were easy to read and I read them so quickly that I didn't want them to end. What I liked most was the subplot that whether we know it or not, everyone is in Connor Falls for some reason and needs to learn what's important to them. This added depth to the story and made me wonder why they were there while encouraging them to find out.It also made me think about what was important to me. The book is reminiscent of Scrooge, but with a positive twist.

The characters are brilliantly written, and the chemistry between them adds credence to the story. I highly recommend revisiting Connor Falls and this amazing cast of characters.

Three holiday novellas set in a small town. There is hints of romance, family, second chances, warmth and lots of feels.

Winter Light
A runaway girl reunited Allie with a man from her past. Her first crush.
This is a very sweet story with lots of feels. A couple twists and happy ending.

Light the Heart Home
Em is coming to spend Christmas at Connor Dalls with her sister Sophie. Sophie has a secret but so does she.
This was unusual because it focuses on two sisters instead of a romance thigh there is a second Chance romance as well.

Home For The Holiday
Susan comes home for Christmas but finds more than just the holiday.
She isn’t happy in her life and is looking for that something that’s missing.
I liked the closeness of family and quick reaction to changes. I liked the hint of a budding relationship.
I do wish we would have gotten more of Susan’s backstory of why she’s unhappy.
It’s a sweet Christmas story with lots of feels.

When the Heart Brings you Home is a collection of three novellas. They are all set in Connor Falls around Christmas time. There is a common theme of family, finding your way back home and following your heart. There is romance, but it's not just about that. I liked them all, but each in a different way. It's a lovely book to read around Christmas time.

WINTER LIGHT
Allie still hasn't decorated the display windows at the family bookstore. Pondering what to do, she is startled by the little girl Lydia, who is out there all alone. Soon she figures out she ran from home and her father is the guy she once had a crush on. He is a single father to a little girl who is very hurt by her mother who just took off. Lydia brings them together, but with so much going on in their life, none are eager to jump into something new. There is nothing like a little bit of Christmas spirit to help you find your HEA.

LIGHT THE HEART HOME
Emma is driving back to the town she grew up in, to visit her sister. It's been a while since she has seen her and with her life imploding she is happy to escape reality for a little bit. Through the holiday season, they find love and do a great deal of healing. There is a lovely second-chance romance, but my favourite was the focus on sisters and how they find their happiness in life.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Susan is visiting her parents. It's been a while since she has been back home. As she helps her mother with the event she has been planning and gets to know the cute photographer, she slowly finds her way back to Connor Falls, and finds a place she can call home. It's a lovely story, focused on family and togetherness with a little bit of romance.

When the Heart Brings You Home is a collection of three short stories all set in Connor Falls. Each story has a HEA and is a standalone. I enjoyed each short story. They did not feel like short stories. Each one had a HEA, but they also told an entire story for the characters. I felt like I was reading a full-sized book.

I really liked the small-town setting and the wonderful characters. Each character was in Connor Falls for a reason, whether they knew it or not. They needed Connor Falls and what it had to offer them. Each character found what they needed, learned what was important to them, and found their HEA.

When the Heart Brings You Home is a fun collection of three short stories.

When the heart brings you home is actually three stories in one book. The novella's are just the right length to draw you into the romance and world of the people that populate them. I say romance, but I'm not entirely sure that they are all romances, at least in the traditional sense. Perhaps love story would be a better description. Although there is a romantic love element in each, there's also plenty of love between family members. It would be very fair to say that When the Heart Brings You Home is all about relationships and where you belong in the world.
I enjoyed all of these stories. I usually prefer my romance on the slightly hotter side and these are all strictly PG (actually they're probably U to be honest) but they are all quite sweet, enjoyable and satisfying. A great read with a nice Christmassy feel to them.

When the Heart Brings You Home is a collection of three Christmas stories that take place in the small town of Connor Falls, Pennsylvania.
Each novella is a sweet romance written by Robin Maderich. They are quick to read with charming characters. They are all standalones with happy ever after endings that will leave you smiling at the end. I always love small-town stories, and these did not disappoint; they have the warmth of large families, second-chance romances, and heartfelt emotions. They are great for reading on a chilly day with a warm blanket and hot chocolate. They will definitely help you get into the holidays and all the festivities.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
