Bailey Parks is as tough as they come which is how she came to be the first female Road Beast. Her daytime life consists of suits and court cases involving family law. Her nighttime life is made of bar room brawls and the occasional passionate encounter.
Things change when a sexy Hispanic man named Diego barrels into her life. She wants more than an encounter with him, but her instincts tell her to be cautious.
Diego Pena is interested in the Road Beasts because one of them killed his younger brother, Ray. He needs to get closer to them, and the only way to do that is to seduce one of the few female members. He finds his way into the club through Bailey. She earns his respect and shows him that the Beasts aren’t what he thought they were.
The desire that he has for her grows into something more than either of them ever hoped for. But will it be enough to sustain what they have once Bailey finds out his connection to Hector Nunez and his cartel?
The story was good, however it was too light on basic information. For instance what do they both look like? How old are they? Why was Diego incarcerated? How did Hector become his uncle? Looking forward to the last installment.
Diego had a plan to get answers about his brother, he didn’t expect to fall for a member of the Road Beasts but when your hearts speak the mind listens and plans change❤️❤️❤️.
I enjoyed Bailey aka Cougar doing things her way and not taking crap from anyone👍🏽. She could tell Diego was interested in getting to know her and she wasn’t having it but when there is clear attraction and the chemistry is hot it’s hard to ignore🥵🔥🥵. Bailey had a not so easy upbringing that closed her off from love due to a painful past but Diego was patient yet persistent and knew there was more to Bailey😍. I appreciated Bailey profession trying to help those in similar situations she was in as a child. I really liked Hippo being there and watching over Cougar😊. Diego has put himself in a dangerous situation along with Sameetra and I’m curious how things will unfold for them🤔.
I feel this next book with Eden aka Roo is gonna have some serious action and suspense with Carl and the Road Beasts. I’m ready for the next book‼️
Loved the story between Bailey and Diego . Liked how she opened up to him and told him about her family And he did the same. Can't wait for the conclusion of the Eden and Carl saga will they finally have their happily ever after or will Eden do something dumb. Can't wait .
Even if you only known them for a little per se the artist Prince...but in mature Romance especially over 40 there is a no nonsense clause that I like especially with Cougar she's all that and Diego is her younger match...older only means better👏👍😘😍😉😏😊😆😀😃😁😄😅😂😎🙋💃🏾💓💗💞💘😈
I love this book but I think it was way to short. But still a wonderful book to read. Kimberly Smith is a excellent writer an I can not wait until the next book is published.
I liked Diego and Cougar together. I also liked Hippo . Shame it did not work out for them. I guess no chemistry on her part with Hippo . Looking forward to what I believe is The conclusion. Good series.
There are so many moving parts to this series. How will Diego and Sameetra fare as turncoats? How can this story end without a total and complete war with Hector
Firstly, let me say I am loving this over 40s series by Kimberly Smith. Diego has a plan and he is unsure how he is going to pull it off. An opportunity arises that will give Diego the in he is looking for into the Road Beast. Cougar is his in. There are some glances, flirting, and a morning happy ending; however, once Diego’s real identity is revealed whatever trust they had built exploded. Diego will learn that he and the Road Beast have a common goal. I enjoyed this series so far and the connection between the Silver Foxes and the Road Beast series is a solidly written crossover. From my perspective, Cougar and Diego’s story wasn’t long enough. I plan to stick with this series and hopefully Roo isn’t the last installment.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author. This review is purely from my perspective, and all opinions are my own. I am under no obligation to review the book.
