Elm does it again with another amazing story. Different twists and turns, but the same lovely banter and wonderful family dynamics. Be prepared for more plot twists and craziness than the first book. It’s intense and hard to put the book down. The ending is yet another well thought out cliffhanger. I can’t wait for book 3 whenever it comes out.

So good!
I absolutely loved the first one and this one was just as good!
Brenda is a refreshing heroine. Never solely dependent on the men in her life and seeing her blossom and take her power back was so awesome! The family bonds are also so good. I wish I had a family like Brenda's.

Absolutely fantastic sequel.
Amazing book and couldn't put it down.
Adored all of it. Brilliantly explained everything and had both giggles and tears.
More pop culture references then I could count and they were amazing.
Just brilliant writing.
Can't wait for more from this fabulous author.

Enduring romance
Brenda kicks ass. From overcoming societal bias and past trauma to bringing an entire city to it’s knees, this is one blood soaked (vampires…what are gonna do), action packed romance.

Wow!
Elm Jed fucking killed it.
What a sequel! I was on the edge of my seat for most of the book.
This is a beautiful story and I can’t wait for the next one. Wonderfully written.

No notes, absolute perfection. This series makes me cry and laugh in the best ways, I end up forgetting that I'm reading and completely dissociate picturing this world and its events. I cannot recommend this series enough, it's one of my top stores of all time.

I can’t say enough about this series! It literally has everything great in it! Awesome narrative, fast paced plot, delicious spicy scenes, and a strong female lead. I can’t wait for book 3!!

Such a fun read! Just the right mix of action and romance. This book helped me out of a reading funk and I'm excited to read more books in this universe!
