In the heat of the moment, you can either dig in your spurs or ride off into the sunset.
Casey Lane
I’m all alone in this world. Well, except for my best friend Megan and the animals I save with the non-profit I created. But no one needs to shed a tear for me. My past makes me strong, independent, and driven. I know what I want, and I don’t need anyone’s help.
That is until I meet rugged cowboy, McCoy Knox.
When a fire rips through my apartment, destroying everything, I have nowhere to go. McCoy offers me a room—right next to his—and a job as a nanny to his daughter.
I don’t want to want him, but I can’t control the blaze that tears through me at a single glance. My fight against my growing desire is holding me hostage…
Will his touch be the spark that sets me free?
McCoy Knox
I’m a small-town cowboy with a broken heart and a bad attitude. It’s who I am, and I have no plans to change.
When Casey stumbles into my path, I can’t ignore the heat in my blood at the mere sight of her. She excites me. Makes me feel things I haven’t felt in years. She’s also stubborn, opinionated, and sexy. A combination I can’t seem to resist.
Fate intervenes, and she’s working as my daughter’s live-in nanny. This unforgettable woman is sleeping in a bed fifteen feet from me!
Casey has slipped right under my defenses, and I’m not sure if I should push her back or draw her in closer. I’m not even sure if that’s my decision to make, anymore.
The heart wants what the heart wants, and mine wants her.
Patched Hearts is a heart-pounding, pulse-shattering series with rugged cowboys and strong, independent women who know what they want. Enjoy!

I love this series, it's like real life in so many respects in there are always some hurdles we all must jump through or go around or climb over to get what we really want. It's great that Casey and McCoy are doing that, and that McCoy is starting to understand what and how much Casey means to him. And Abby is so grown up, yet still childlike many times. Love how she sometimes makes Casey and McCoy think they really aren't hiding anything. Ella, I need book 5 ASAP!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Ella Cooper has written a 5-star book. This is the continued story of Casey and McCoy. To know the full backstory you will need to have read the first three books in this series. Casey and McCoy have talked about her knowing his wife Maddie back in college and he has worked through his feelings about it. He tells Casey that he wants to see where their relationship can go and she agrees with him. They decide to keep things on the down low for the moment in case things don't work out for them. It would be hard on McCoy's daughter Abby if Casey had to leave. They have gone out and a tornado comes through and they rush back to the house to check on his mom Connie and Abby. the house is fine but the horse barn is destroyed. Casey has her hands full with Abby now since she won't let Casey out of her sight. McCoy has found out from Megan that it's Casey's birthday in a few days and he wants to throw her a party. Megan handles the party while McCoy and his friends along with some others rebuild his barn. They have decided to let everyone know they are a couple now. McCoy is working with his friend Matt and they are dealing with some of the horses that need shots and other things. Casey remembers that Matt said that the horses could get ruffled if bothered too much. Matt also said that he and McCoy knew what they were doing so not to worry. Casey works with Abby all morning and she is thinking about lunch and then dinner. She is thinking so hard about dinner that she doesn't hear all the yelling outside until she hears the sirens. Casey picks Abby up when she runs towards her. Casey is torn on what to do. There is a knock on the window and it is Miguel, one of the ranch hands. He sees that Casey can't put Abby down so he gets a pen and paper and writes McCoy was kicked by a horse. Matt is going to the hospital with him. Connie was called. Casey sends a text to Cole and Tyler. She gets a reply back from both. Cole is going to meet the ambulance and to be with Connie and Tyler was coming to get her and Abby. When Tyler gets there he asked, "Have you talked to any of the ranch hands yet?" She tells him no except for Miguel. Tyler tells her to give him Abby and they put her on the couch to watch cartoons. Tyler said "Do you want to go and talk to the ranch hands or do you want me to do it? Casey told him to do it since she doesn't want to look like a fool. What happened to McCoy? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is part 4 of this series and it will again end with a cliffhanger. This part picks up where Part 3 of the story ended with McCoy and Casey following the tornado in hopes to get home. This was their first time out alone as a couple (yet not out to their family and friends) and both felt some guilt with not being at home when the storm hit. Luckily, they arrive to find that everyone is safe (although Abby will soon show some anxiety from the storm) and having lost only the barn. Soon their neighbors show up to lend a hand and they were able to get the bar rebuilt.
They celebrate Casey's 32nd birthday and use this gathering of friends and family to announce their relationship to their friends and family. They became closer as a couple and McCoy draws up some amended house plans. But that leads us to the Part 4 cliffhanger event where there’s an injury on the ranch. So Casey and McCoy have made it known that they are a couple to no ones surprise. Even little Abby who is four plays with Casey and does a game called their wedding. All of these stories end in cliff hangers and I am so not finding number 5 so thinking I am going to have to wait and I hate doing that. We have left this story with McCoy in trouble and being taken away. In this book we finish up from book three where there is a tornado and McCoy and Casey were not there when it hit. This poor couple have had so many crisis's that it is a wonder they are still managing to stay in a relationship but true love is strong and they are in it for good. We also find out that there is another couple who has been trying to hide their relationship but McCoy is sure that Casey is right about what is going on so we may have another spin off when this is done with these two characters.

After the cliffhanger of the previous part, we have arrived at part 4. The mystery is still there but we are getting more and more clarity. Their relationship is not without a struggle. First, Casey falls ill and thankfully recovers, and they plan to go home together to beat the storm, but things go awry when McCoy is injured and rushed to the hospital. As we are used to, this story is just like the other parts full of unexpected twists, so that you sit on the edge of your seat and you can completely dive into the story. Just when you think yes this is going to be something, the cliffhanger comes into play again. Ms Cooper keeps you glued to the book this way. Sometimes I wanted to scream no when the end of the book was insight and we have to wait for the next part.

Let me tell you, I love this series but I hate cliffhangers. Prints of Fate: Book 4 of Patched Hearts does not disappoint. McCoy and Case rush home to the aftermath of a tornado. Thankfully things are ok. After finally announcing their relationship things seem to be going well. They are moving forward with their relationship and plans to expand the house. Until McCoy is kicked by a horse. Will he be ok? What will happen? These cliffhangers are killing me lol. But I love this storyline and the characters. I am definitely looking forward to the next book. I would definitely recommend this series.

McCoy and Casey head home like the devil is chasing them to get there as soon as possible to assess the damage from the tornado, winds and rain. Few trees down and the main barn all that is left is the shell. All horses were set free before the hard stuff hit so they could run free if needed. They check on the house and find it standing strong. Momma Connie and Abby come running to McCoy as soon as he steps through the door. Casey is included in the family hugs. More "togetherness" is in store for McCoy and Casey along with special words. Love this couple and can not wait for the next 2 parts.
I read an early review copy of this book for an honest review.
The connection between Casey and McCoy is getting stronger day by day and since dealing with the storm they are more connected. They have learned to rely on each other more and when the time comes they finally let their friends and family know they are together. They are planning a future and it is fun to read their journey. This series has really brought out the emotions as these two keep dealing with tragedy and have yet to have some long awaited peace when things are going smoothly we are hit with another cliffhanger that has your heart beating out of your chest needing to know what is going to happen. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

This book picks up right where Part 3 left off. The tornado did some damage, mostly to the barn. Neighbors and friends come to help rebuild, plus tend to the horses. Casey and Mac decide at first to keep their new romance a secret, out of guilt and being afraid Abby would get hurt, but then decide to let everyone know. As Mac is tending to the horses, he is hurt really bad. Casey is terrified and Abby has grown very close to Casey, and won’t let her out of her sight!! I can’t wait to see what happens in Part 5!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK 💙
Cassey and McCoy’s story continues in this installment. After being hit by a tornado that destroyed the barn, everybody helps to rebuild it. They have been lucky it was just the barn affected and not the house or the animals or people. Cassey and McCoy’s relationship is getting stronger every day, but although everything looks pretty good, they have another problem coming their way. Ella Cooper is a master in cliffhangers, but sometimes I just feel like “strangling” her because of it. LOL I can’t wait to read the rest of the story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Man oh man does Ella know how to pull my heart strings! I was hooked from the first line needing more! This is part four of a six told in a series that does leave you on a cliffhanger, but you aren’t waiting long until you get more.
I am loving the connection between not only McCoy and Casey, but the connection between Casey, Connie and Abby. I love that Abby is so supportive of McCoy and Casey.
That ending is definitely a tear jerker though! I can’t wait for the next book to see how they overcome this next obstacle standing in their way!
McCoy and Casey arrived back at the ranch right after the tornado hit to discover the damage. The community came together to help them rebuild the barn. McCoy and Casey had decided, it was time to tell everyone they were a couple. Just as they thought everything was starting to go their way tragedy sticks the family again. A wonderful read with a couple in love with real life drama ending in a cliffhanger.

This story is getting better with each additional book. McCoy and Casey get closer in this book. Their connection and chemistry is getting stronger. They focus on rebuilding and cleaning up the damage from the tornado. Luckily no one was injured and only one barn was damaged. They are looking forward to letting everyone know they are together when Casey's birthday rolls around. Everyone is happy for them. They also have plans to renovate the house after they are done with the barn. This is a very enjoyable read and we are left with a bit of a cliffhanger again. I know that McCoy and Casey with get through it. I can't wait for book 5 to find out what happens next.
This continues on from the last book and Casey gets sick. Once she recovers, they finally get to take their relationship to the next level. Just when you think things are going their way McCoy gets hurt and gets rushed to the hospital. I tell you this story will keep you on pins and needles wondering what is happening until the next part comes out.

McCoy is a single dad that needs help getting his business to improve and caring for his little girl. Casey is the owner of a nonprofit that saves animals and catches McCoys eye. Casey doesn’t want to feel what she feels and tries to stay away until fate intervenes. Her home is destroyed and she has no where to go until she gives in to McCoy’s job over caring for his daughter. Great story.

Casey and McCoy have final decided to give their relationship a try only to realize how much they already love each other. They have also decided to let everyone know. But will everything stay as wonderful as it has been or will something happen? This series is definitely worth reading. Now waiting for Book 5.

McCoy and Casey race towards the ranch not knowing what they will find in the aftermath of the tornado. Luckily only the main barn was destroyed but all the animals were safely out of it before it collapsed.
As the barn is rebuilt, McCoy and Casey don’t get a lot of alone time. Will they finally get to be alone? Will McCoy’s mom Connie or daughter Abby catch that they are getting closer? Will they both approve of McCoy and Casey’s relationship?
Just when things calm down and start going smoothly. This time it leaves the reader with their heart in their throat. Casey, McCoy and crew have gotten through the storm. The two lovebirds have finally admitted their relationship. Life is going smoothly. Life has a way of happily ever after plans get messy to obtain. Dun, dun, dun! Cliffhanger I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
McCoy and Casey survive the tornado but the barn was destroyed. After all they have been through they know that they belong together. They realize that they have overcome so much that they deserve happiness. McCoy and his friends are going to rebuild the barn and they all start doing it while Casey is with the daughter. But then there is a knock at the door! Now we have to wait for the next book! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book continues on from book 3 with Casey and McCoy rushing home to make sure everything and everyone is OK after the tornado. The barn was the only thing damaged and with help from their neighbours it is soon rebuilt. At Casey's surprise birthday party they tell everyone about their relationship and are looking forward to spending more time together. Ends on a big cliffhanger. Can't wait for book five. A must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Prints of Fate is the fourth part/book in the Patched Hearts series and continues the story of Casey and McCoy "Mac" Knox. I will admit that after reading the first three books in this series I waited until the last three were available and then sat down and binged them. I loved this couple as they find their way to their own HEA, and all the trials and emotions that happen along the way.
The tension is building with McCoy and casey! Firstly, I love that they are keeping little Abby in mind as they are building their new relationship, although Abby has shipped them together since day one, so no worries on her end. Lots of drama this book. Recovery from the tornado, caseys birthday with a big announcement, and yet another heart wrenching cliffhanger!
A great read you won't want to put down once you start. The story line pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens. You will easily fall in love with the characters as you get to know them with every turn of the page.

Thank you Ella for allowing me to read this book. Once again we are left with a big cliffhanger…will Casey lose her love just as she has found him? Will Abby lose another parent? All questions we are holding our breath to find out the answers. I can’t wait for the next part to unfold their story and I’m hoping I’m right. I received an ARC and I’m leaving my honest and voluntary review.
This is the 4th part of this story. Well written with great characters. This story just keeps you interested from start to finish. Full of action and suspense. Can't wait to see what comes next. I was given an advanced reader copy from booksprout and I voluntarily leave this review.
Mccoy and Stacy weather a tornado together and decide it is time to make their relationship public. I didn't see the ending coming, but I want to read the next part.

This one picked up where the last one ended. McCoy and Casey has finally told each other how they feel. But with that cliffhanger is things ending. Looking forward to reading the next book
This is part 4 of this series and once again ends on a cliffhanger. Keep that in mind if it's going to bother you and wait a little while longer to get the rest of the story.
This is the continuation of the story of McCoy and Casey following the tornado. There was some guilt with the two of them in that they were trying to spend time together alone and this is what happened. Luckily none of the animals or people were hurt and only the barn had damage. With the help of neighbors, they were able to get the bar rebuilt pretty quickly.
They also celebrated Casey's 32nd birthday and announced their relationship to their friends and family. They became closer, but then the cliffhanger event happened at the end and now that is being challenged again.
These books are so good! Mack and Casey finally get together and their secret is out amongst their friends. All seems well but then, another cliffhanger!! Arrgghh, I need part 5, please, now!
