Alright we are on book 5 and it is just as exciting as all the other books. I would suggest getting the whole series if you haven't read any of them as they need to be read in order to best understand the situation between McCoy and Casey and how it interacts with Abby and Connie. Ok, and Megan and all the other characters that we have come to love in these stories. Book 4 ends with an ambulance taking McCoy away and us know knowing what is going to happen but we spend time with him and Casey in the hospital and watch as everyone works to bring McCoy out of his coma. Casey shows that she is totally in love with him and willing to do whatever it takes to make him well.
While they are in the hospital Casey learns something from nurse Alice and is surprised and shocked by what is taking place. Will McCoy ever wake up? Will Casey be able to tell him what she has found out? Will they all ever be a family or has fate worked against them again. We all know fate wants them together but something keeps messing up the plan. We also end book 5 with a cliff hanger and are awaiting book six. I hate having to wait to finish a story but it is and I know will be worth the wait as Ella Cooper keeps us on our toes but offers us great solutions when the time come.
I have read several of her series and find them all intriguing and worth reading. Make time though because you will not want to put any of the books down but jump right into the next one.

Ella Cooper has written a 5-star book. This is the continued story of Casey and McCoy. McCoy has been taken to the hospital after getting kicked in the head by a horse. He is unconscious after being checked over. The doctor doesn't know when he will wake up. Casey and McCoy's mom Connie take turns staying with him. Someone is always with Abby, McCoy's daughter. Kennedy is running herself down between the hospital and the ranch. One day when she goes to the hospital, Alice, one of McCoy's nurses notices that Kennedy doesn't look so well. She asks Kennedy a few questions and tells her that she thinks she is pregnant. Alice gets Kennedy to take a blood test and it comes back positive. Kennedy doesn't want anyone to know before McCoy. Alice tells her to talk to him like she always had. He might not be able to talk yet but he can still hear her. When Alice leaves the room, Kennedy goes and sits by McCoy and takes his hand. He squeezed her hand and she goes to get the doctor. While she waits for the doctor, McCoy wakes up and asked about the baby. The doctor comes in and checks McCoy over and tells him about the therapy he will doing starting the next day. After the therapy, McCoy has some numbness and he doesn't know what it is from. He has a real bad pain and when the doctor is told about it, they take him for some tests. He has to be taken for emergency surgery to take care of what was found.
What will happen between Kennedy and McCoy?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Oh wow!! Part 5 is a doozy!! The tears just kept flowing 😫😭 McCoy and Casey have been through A LOT!! This book is throwing more obstacles in their way. I felt bad for poor Casey throughout this book. She really had a rollercoaster of emotions to process. Plus, trying to help out with McCoy’s family and ranch. I loved the fact that the ranch hands, friends and family are a fantastic support system for Casey. With the WHOPPER of a cliffhanger, in this story, I definitely can’t wait for Part 6!!
At the end of the last book, McCoy was severely injured, and is now in a coma. The doctors don’t know if he’ll wake up. They tell Casey to talk to him, because they think he may still be able to hear her. She does talk to him, and it is EMOTIONAL 😭 Through this, Casey doesn’t seem to be feeling well, so the nurse runs some blood tests. Casey gets a HUGE surprise, and shares it with McCoy. Does he hear her?? However, there could be more issues. It turns out McCoy has a huge mass on his left side, and is rushed into emergency surgery!!

Book Five in the Patched Hearts Series, is not to be read as a stand alone. Right now as a heavily invested reader of this series, I am suffering from the after effects of this emotional rollercoaster. So many events for Casey, McCoy and crew that my head is spinning and my heart is everywhere.
This latest installment flows organically, but as with real life, many things can happen all at once. This installment has everything but a sizzling love scene. Which by all means does not leave it lacking by any means.
Ella Cooper has made a series that will delight any reader with the realism and wonderful characters that come to life. The Patched Hearts series has all of my current favorite friends.
The only downside is waiting for the next installment, to know what life event is coming next for this group.

McCoy had been kicked by a horse, and he was rushed to the hospital. He remained in a coma for almost two months. Finally, he came to after Casey read her entire diary from the time, they met until the present time including her discovering, she was pregnant. By the time, she finished he was squeezing her hand, and by the time a nurse could get there, he had his eyes open. With the baby on the way, McCoy did not want to take any risk so he asked Casey to marry him in secret at the hospital. That way her, Abby and the baby would all be taken care of if something happened, and they could have a better celebration later after this was over. Good thing as we were left with the cliffhanger of McCoy being rushed to emergency surgery for a mass on his left side causing various kinds of problems. Hope the next book will be coming soon to find out what's happening.

Man does Ella know how to pull your heart strings! This is part five of six in a series that leaves you on a cliffhanger with each book until the very last one. You don’t have to wait long for the next one to come out, and trust me, with this series, it is so worth the wait!

My heart is breaking for all the hurdles that Casey and McCoy have had to endure apart from each other and together! Their love is so strong, and I know that they will overcome anything that is imagined in Ella’s creative mind!

I was hooked from page one, on the edge of my seat and sniffing back tears of relief, joy and sadness all throughout. I cannot wait for part six to come out and see just how Casey, McCoy and Abby get their HEA!

We have arrived at part 5 of the Prints Of Fate. After McCoy had a serious accident in the previous part and had to be rushed to the hospital. McCoy has a long way to go with recovering Casey staying by his side. in this book too there is a coming and going of emotions, secrets, drama and problems. Despite everything, Casey McCoy remains faithful, and with every part you keep your fingers crossed and sympathize with them and hope that they can soon put it all behind them or find out secrets to have a happy ending together. I'm already looking forward to the last part and then we will find out about the things that are still questionable and more clarity. Prints Of Fate is a wonderful series.

Ok not sure how much more this young couple can take, if they make it through this, they can make it through anything. And they are doing just that, making it through with each other. It's a great love story and one of preserving through all rough times that every relationship has and has to work through. Love is wonderful and not always easy as they are finding out, but with the right person by your side and good friends it is somewhat easier. McCoy and Casey will make it, they finally know they are meant to be together and will likely fight like hell to make that happen. Loved the book and the series, just need the next one soon as the suspense is killing me.

These cliffhangers are killing me. Prints of Fate: Book 5 of Patched Hearts does not disappoint. It picks up with McCoy being rushed to the hospital after book 4 ends. I, not going to say much because I don’t want to give anything away but this installment is very stressful and has tears of happiness and of fear. I will say that I cannot wait for the conclusion in book 6. I don’t think my heart can take anymore of these cliffhangers. That said I really love this story and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

This is part 5 of the series and will again end with a cliffhanger this time on McCoy’s health as a medical issue has been discovered during the hospital stay following the accident with the horse.

It picks up as McCoy has been rushed to the hospital following the accident at the end of part 4. This part will lead the reader though a very stressful series of events in McCoy’s recovery and Casey’s faithfulness as she waits. Be prepared for so many emotions. The waiting will also bring about a surprise of happiness that neither expected. But as McCoy’s recovery continues, issues will come to light that cause fear. I cannot wait for the conclusion in book 6 but again be mindful that Part 5 ends in a cliffhanger that will no doubt turn the story. I would recommend this book and the series.

Casey and McCoy have been through so much and once again they have an emotional time to get through. As time goes by Casey comes to find out she has a little secret that she can't wait to tell McCoy bur he needs to wake up first. The emotions Ella draws out while Casey waits patiently hoping all will be well with him is heart wrenching and guts you. When finally, we think these two are going to catch a break things take another unexpected turn and we end in another heart stopping cliffhanger. I have fallen in love with these two characters as we have watched their relationship evolve. I can't wait to see how this series ends.

This is Part 5 of this series. Yes, read all of the ones before you read this one and know that each of them is short, but they all end with a cliffhanger (including this one and it’s a doozy!)
The story of McCoy and Casey continues here. They spend a large amount of this episode in the hospital, but there are a couple of surprises and they are good ones. All in all I think this was my favorite of this series so far, especially those surprises. The love story between these two is really sweet and they are growing even closer with the crisis they find themselves in. Will they be okay and will they be able to have that wedding at the ranch?

McCoy is rushed to the hospital after an accident on the ranch. He is unconscious but luckily just has broken ribs. The doctors hope he is in a coma because his body needs the rest to get better.

Meanwhile Casey is trying to stay in control by taking charge while Connie is at the hospital with McCoy. They especially don’t want McCoy’s daughter Abby upset.

Will McCoy wake up soon? Will he really be okay? And what about his relationship with Casey? Will they become a real couple?

I can’t wait to find out what is in store for McCoy and Casey next.

Prints of Fate - Patched Hearts Part 5

Prints of Fate is the fifth part/book in the Patched Hearts series and continues the story of Casey and McCoy "Mac" Knox. This book picks up where the last book ended then adds on more to the emotional roller-coaster that is happening both to this couple and my own heart. I so want these Casey and Mac to find their HEA, but at times it seems they may lose their way to each others arms and hearts. But I hold out hope, and my breath for the sweet ending that you know is going to come, just not sure how at this moment.

This is a couple that wants and needs to be together and they live each other. They are making it through all the trials that are thrown their way and now deserve their happily ever after! Casey is desperate to get to the hospital to know what McCoy's condition is. It took two long months for him to recover consciousness. Everybody is happy and looking forward to having him back home.
Everything is going well, but something wrong is going on.
I think Ella Cooper is going to give us a heart attack with those cliffhangers of hers.
I can hardly wait to read the conclusion of this story.

Patience

This book is about McCoy and his hospital stay from being kicked by a horse.
He is in a coma and everything looks good but no one knows when he will wake up.
All the characters in this book are proving to be one huge family whether they live at the ranch or not.
Casey is trying to hold everything together while falling apart inside.
Can not wait until Book 6.

This series just keeps getting more emotional.
After the big cliffhanger at the end of book we are hoping for the best for the couple.
I loved how Casey was there for not only McCoy but also his mother and daughter.
A few secrets are revealed and kept but we have yet another big cliffhanger.
Can't wait for the final book and hopefully a happy ending.

This series of books has me totally hooked. McCoy and Casey’s story and events made reading this part hard to put down and was easily read in a couple hours. Their connection is amazing and reminds me what I have with my husband and and events we have endured. Can not wait for the next part.

The next part of Casey and McCoy's journey takes place in this book. Last we left off with McCoy having to be taken to the hospital after an accident with one of the horses. This book focuses on the relationship and devotion Casey has for McCoy. She stays with him throughout his long stay. She also finds out something about herself with the help of nurse Alice. Of all the books so far this one is really going to get you with all the emotion that comes through while reading it. You also see how everyone from Connie, Tyler, Megan and all the ranch hands help to keep the ranch running and help with taking turns babysitting Abby. I love how once McCoy wakes up all he can think about is starting his life with Casey by his side and starting a future with her. There is a few surprises in this book that I will not divulge since you will learn early on about some of them as well as some towards the end. I can not wait to find out what is in store for Casey and McCoy in the final book. Wonderful read!
