Review of Revenge by Nikita Parmenter (Finding My Home series) * * * * * This author keeps throwing the punches with the wild drama, the delicious steaminess and danger.
Ever has been kidnapped! Thrown into the fighting ring to defend her honour and life as she is still reeling from the 'assumed' loss of three of her men. She can't escape so easily. But she is biding her time...until she serves that cold dish of revenge to her captor. Her men are coming for her. Even when they do reach her, the danger is not over yet. Dangerous jobs, killer new and old friends, and hot hot HOT group therapy!
I love how there is just so much more! Not to forget a few surprise guests! How Ever suffered with adapting to her killer environment, some of the guilt she felt for the death of her scared opponents, then the following PTSD. Her men were so patient with her and quick to read what she needed. So happy for Rage! Justice! I cannot wait to see what happens next. For those in need of a growing, action packed and deadly dark read filled with loyalty, love and family, this is without a doubt a must read. Even as it reaches book 6, I still love the characters and their thrilling journey.
The plot lost its tension for me by killing the main bad guy so early on. I was waiting for something else to happen but it just seemed to be filler and tying up a few loose ends I felt like it lost its direction. The writing was fine but I struggled to finish this one. Shame, I liked the series. I also didn’t buy the level of ptsd she got from the kidnapping. She suffered worse from her Dad and killed for a living so…

Ever and the gang was incredible like always.... But the next book is set two years later. Which is great as a book gos since the question of Liam and Evers seemom and Riley were left up in the air but I do think I'll will miss the part of them Joining MR. Rising and the new job along with getting to know Zemi,Raiden and their team... I kinda wish there was a navella at least with that part she we could experience it with them and what it was like the first time and being around the older teams, how the parents took the news. That's the only thing that kinda felt like a slight let down. Like I said Ever and the guys, Peter and Elijah and his team along with Lyric and her guys were all fantastic and a riot to read 🤣 I do hope we get a book of lyric because she is a trip lol
I hate to say it, but I'm feeling underwhelmed with Revenge. It felt so rushed yet so slow all at the same time. The main action and storyline concluded early in the book, and the rest of the book felt more like rushed filler to hit a word count.
I have been enamored with this series from the very beginning, and I'll go back and reread this one to see if it's just me having an off day or if my first impression was correct.
even though the book started off strong, i think it missed a little bit of action but i was still able to be determined to finish it, so that’s a good thing i honestly don’t know what to expect from the nexts books and i felt that this one is a close call to the end of our beautiful series anyway let’s talk about the good stuff (or bad) where’s is my guy liam with amelia? are we going to ignore them or what? i’m so relieved that Ever took blake down and now he’s six foot under the ground hehe (he was a lunatic b*tch) i kind of feel relieved that we don’t meet anymore guys that could go into a relationship with her as i feel that she’s already collecting too many guys like they are pokémon kkkkk i feel that the book left some characters off the story in a bad way, which means that i forgot about them. but i figured it might be a strategy as Ever says that she’s missing some of these characters love the girls that we met in this book and they should do a clube between them and peter kkkkk also what’s up the phoenix thing, we just ignore and forget for now?? i feel we are missing pieces from the past and amelia story i don’t know anything that i would want to write so i guess that’s it and tomorrow i will start the next one
Okay so I loved this book a lot more than the last one and I'm glad I gave it a shot.
It's like Nikita personally read more view and took what I said and put it into this book!!
We had way more different POV than just Atlas,Jenson, and Tricks. We got a lot of more smexy scenes. &&& We got some more Rafe and Riot!!
Like those were my 3 biggest issues I had with 5.
Now, I will say, that I felt that getting Ever back was way too easy. Honestly. I'm glad she was the one to do it. But I would have liked to see some more blake and her scenes. We have like what 2-3 books of her running from Blake and we get like 50-100 (if that) of her kidnapping.
I also feel like the title doesn't really relate to the books overall theme. While yes she does get Revenge. I feel like the whole book is about Ever becoming herself again. After her trauma.
But man those smexy scenes really got it for me though!!
3.5 stars I was so excited when i saw that this book would release much earlier than expected. Since i knew already that this was just the ending of this part of their, Evers life or story and it´s gonna come another series with these guys but when they are older (that´s what i have heard) so i expected to not get all my questions answered like with Liam and Evers parents and all that. So i assume we are gonna know more about that in the follow up story/series. I liked the ending since i know we are gonna get more books later.
I am happy that Ever got to meet Lyric and her guys, but i want Ever, Lyric and Jynx with their guys in the same room plus ofc Peter and his boyfriend xD the girls and Peter causing chaos
Whenever Nikita comes out with a book I am straight there and will completely discard the book I am reading in favour of her books.
Now that this book has come out and I have finally finished it as i wanted to take my time with it, I can honestly say that Nikita is truly an amazing author and nothing she has ever written hasn't had me hocked straight away.
I love Ever and her men and from the ending of the last book to the pick up in this one I was on the edge of my chair. We meet some amazing new characters but the guys and Ever are as crazy as always.
We know that this book is the ending of her current storyline for the series that started in book 1 but we know that when book 7 comes out it will be a new story but still the same old crazy bunch and I can't wait.
Rereading this series has been a calm beacon through exams this year for me. This book was no exception, but I couldn’t devour it like I usually would. Ever was taken by Blake at the end of the last book and there’s lots to recover from that. But where most books would end it there we get well thought out character growth and the process of dealing with trauma, albeit at a faster pace than reality. My favourite book is Secrets Worth Keeping and this has a lot of the same flavour. I love seeing them plan for the future. And Runa!!!! Omg immediately told my friend about her lol. So happy with this read and the conclusion with this part of their story.
I have loved the finding my home series and for me this is a perfect finale. I loved the character development throughout the series and I love that the series has the potential for future spin offs (I need more jynx and her guys in my life) but I found Revenge gave me the perfect closure I needed for this series. Ever is the perfect mix of baddass and vulnerability and Nikita Parmenter is one of my favourite authors, highly reccomend reading!
I think ending this storyline the way she did was a great decision, because there is SO much left unfinished that we get to see play out in the next 10+ books without the threat of Blake looming over the entire series. I’m really hoping we get to see the parents again in book 7 and maybe even Riley! Also, I’m dying to see more of Ever and Rage and literally PRAYING we see a proposal in the next book or two. I love FMH so much and I’ll follow wherever Nikita leads Ever and the guys
I know this is supposed to wrap up the story and the next book is going to be different. With that said I love how Nikita wrote this book. Yes there are still some answers we may need but it's not over. I love that we got closer with the Blake situation and that we see what happened to Ever. The guys are truly amazing and I can't wait to see where this goes from here.
I have always considered Nikita to be in my top 3 author favorites. This series as a whole is hands down one of the absolute best reverse harem series I have ever read!! Jenson, Atty, Rageykins, and Cashy are by far my favorites for the MMCs and of course Ever because damn did Nikita bring the bad bitch energy for her!! Can’t wait for what’s to come for all the characters future in later books!!
I think Nokia is a brilliant writer and up to now I think this series has been epic. For me personally this book felt quite flat. I suspect it's essentially a builder for what is going to be an epic last book but after 40% it was just fluff. It didn't give us anything new and I'm surprised the author didn't just wrap everything up in this book. Plenty of cute/cool moments but I did skim read a lot.
I honestly have been with this series since day 1 and every book gets better and better. I'm glad Ever and her guys get the revenge that they deserve, I was heartbroken how it had it came about though. I love the ending to this book. Makes me excited to see where their story goes next. I'm hoping to see a little more Rafe, Riot and Ever together in the next book. Also I can't wait to see more of each team interactions and possible team up in the next book.
I love these guys. They are so sweet and loving, even though they can be a bit cheesy. I rated 4 stars based on the writing itself, not the story. There's some repetitiveness that bugs me, but I have to say, not as bad as the previous book, which was pretty bad with it. If i found an area like that, I just skimmed through. Sorry, it's just one of those things that make me cringe. But overall, I enjoy these books and can't wait to start the next!
I had a bit of falling out with some of the middle books and now I know the true reason why; not enough bonding time. There is so much of it in this book and I don’t just mean sexy times, I mean relationship building and just downtime seeing everything doing go their own thing and not being in constant peril. We get to see lyric and some of her guys, more of Jynx too which is great (I love her series).
I loved the ending of this book. It was honestly the best way to end this part of their lives and I loved every minute of it. I think with the way Nikita wants to take the character like a tv show this was the perfect end of this season. There are still small question but the big ones are resolved. LOVE!
This book was an emotional roller coaster . I can’t believe all the crap they’ve been through especially Ever. A lot was covered in the book and we finally Meet lyric and her crew I hope there’s a book about them. I also hope there’s a book about Z and her crew because that would be epic.
This installment of the series brings an end to one chapter of Ever and her guys’ life but from what I understand the next book will have them a few years older and into there next adventure so that’s a relief…so not ready to say goodbye to this series lol. I loved that in this book there were lots of different characters perspectives(multiple pov)
5 star book!!! This series will forever be one of my all time favorites!! I can not wait to read the next book and see where it takes us! I am so happy with where everyone ended up, and all the new changes coming. I cant wait to learn more about the new groups we have met. I will be impatiently waiting for the next book!
As always, the story is riveting! You feel like you're right there in the thick of it all. I giggled, I cried, and I got angry right along with the characters. I'm excited for the next book about Ever and her men, and the story can only get more interesting.
I can't put in words how much i love this series!!! What an amazing ending for this story line. I am dying to see what comes next for Ever and the guys. And i really hope to get more about Lyric as she spunds just amazin. If you haven't started this series do yourself a favor and do it ASAP!!!
Another excellent book in the Funding My Home series; Ever is finally free of Blake and back with her guys, and after dealing with the traumatic events, she makes new friends. After the team are offered a job with Me Rising, the future is looking much better. I am looking forward to reading further books in this awesome series.
Ever has been through more in her eighteen years than fifty people in their entire lifetimes! The strength of not only the female lead, but her men, really shows through in this book. I can’t wait to read the final book in the series, but I’m devastated that after the seventh book I won’t have any more Ever to read!
This was a really good reading, a great wrap up for the Main series. I enjoyed this series these characters and the writing. Looking forward to seeing what else is author has up her sleeve, but I like that the main series was wrapped up. So I’m not on edge waiting for the next book as bad.
In this 6th installment Ever has been kidnapped by Blake with no choice but to turn into Shadow as she believes 3 of her men are dead. Meanwhile her men are going crazy trying to find her and get her back. As things come to a head with Blake other opportunities open. This book didn't have a huge cliffy but will make you excited for the next chapters in their lives.
Another great read!!! I love getting to read more about Ever and her guys! In this book we get to see how Ever and her men deal with coming face to face with Blake. I loved it can't wait for book 7!!!!
I will read anything this author writes! Such an amazing ending and a look at the beginning of a whole new adventure!!!! Absolutely love this series and can't wait for more!!!!
