second half is better than the first

Zora has been so wishy washy. So I didn’t really like her from the start. Then she continued to be annoying. There was so much internal warfare with not revealing their secrets and even when Zora revealed her secret she was still so insecure about it. I definitely enjoyed the second half of this book more than the first. It was more adventure and secrets unveiled. Every time I found myself asking a question, most of them were answered. I really didn’t see the plot twist coming. I’m glad Zora acknowledged she was wrong for how she treated Rah in the beginning. I hope the women are able to continue their professions in some way, if they want.

What about the other Rakesh men? Will them not having access to women not create tension? How far along is Estelle? How long is her pregnancy term? Rah said he wasn’t going to touch himself thinking about Zora then did. I’m still not endeared to Ivy and Jamila.

The author continues to call anklets ankle bracelets. I wish the timeline was a bit more detailed. Zora claims she wasn’t with the insta-live which is fine but her story happened in all of like 5 days. There seems to be some things that happened not on the pages.

Too. much. smut. It's like the smut was written first and it can go on for pages and pages, and a plot was desperately rearranged around it. And the most disappointing thing is the plot is good. But the smut is too much and I just don't want to read it anymore. For example, there were 3 sexual scenes in a row once, and it's just like, seriously? Goes on and on.

And some of it is gross. 6 "phalluses" and calling them "His nest" sends a yucky shiver down my spine.

For the story itself, they should have held off on them making up, because the enemies-to-lovers plot was quite exciting. Stretch it out.

Again, the plot that is there, and it was more prominent in the first book, is really good. But the sexual stuff is too much and too heavy-handed, and I'm no book prude!! This should be marked as an erotica if you're going that route.

They both had a secret.

Zora has a secret. The men of Rakesh need brides an order for their race, not to become extinct. Rah is an alien prince, who has been matched with Zora. In the beginning of the their relationship, there was a bit of contention. While Zora is attracted to Rah, his anatomy threw her off in the beginning.

But once she learns his secret, and she reveals hers, their relationship begins to blossom. Once they overcome their differences they begin to enjoy the intimacy to be had, but troubles are on the horizon. Estella remembers there were eleven women, so where is she. Great second story and I am reading book three next. I recommend this series so far to anyone who likes intergalactic romance.

no just no

While I really enjoyed the first book in this series the second one could have been left out. Maybe not left out but maybe make Zora more palatable. I have never hated a MC so much. All she does is complain and try her best to be defiant which I get the author wanted to make her strong and a take nothing from anyone type of woman but it failed. It just came across as defiant for no good reason and she even went to far with poor rah blaming him for her blabber mouth.

still good

Zora and Rah didn’t start off on the best foot, but they both have secrets that makes their pairing a hard one. Can they trust each other enough to make it work?

I feel like O’Hare had enough time between books to read some of the criticisms and make some changes. And yet, I also feel that some choices are deliberately done to reflect the characterizations. Either way I enjoyed it.

If you like stubborn people, hard starts, and wild subplots, this one is for you.

Beware! The spicy scenes in The Secret of the Alien Prince definitely deliver, and while it was a bit more than I'm used to, I still found myself thoroughly enjoying the storyline. Eva O'Hare has crafted a creative and engaging fantasy paranormal romance that’s hard to put down. The plot felt surprisingly relatable, especially watching Zora finally get what she’s always wanted. It’s refreshing to see her journey unfold. Overall, this series is shaping up to be a fun and exciting discussion for my next book club meeting!

I can’t….

I got through the first book. I’m not a fan of overly b*tchy women. And I’m certainly not a fan of portraying black women as being constantly angry, attitude filled just to have them, incessantly defiant, and rude to hide their true feelings. These are supposed to be adult women! Zora was truly insufferable. I had to stop reading it after she got up and walked away for the 10th time. I’m only giving it 2 stars because the main characters are black women.

Intriguing …

The story continues to keep you interested. Rah and Zora is truly a very exciting, sensual and super hot couple. I am really glad that Zora is finally able to open up to Rah. I love Rah because he is loyal, accepting and patience. They have had more trials that keeps things interesting. There relationship is extremely spicy hot. I love it. I am looking forward to the next book. Thank you Ms. O’Hare.

Rah and Zora

I'm thrilled that the sequel gave us Rah and Zora's story. We caught a hint of their vibe in the first book, and honestly, things seemed pretty grim. But when Zora laid bare her struggles, it hit me hard. The ordeal she endured is unimaginable, especially when she was all set for a different path, only for the unthinkable to happen. I can't even fathom bouncing back from something like that. Their connection, though? 🥵🥵🥵🥵. I'm all in for Rah and Zora.

Skip the first half

You can read about their secrets in the first few pages of the book and then skip to the middle and not miss a thing. Their back and forth about whether to tell each other their issues went on way too long and was annoying. The sleep cycle for the Rakesh was inconsistent to me- but maybe I missed a good explanation about how they wake up every morning but only have a hibernation period. The second half of the book is cool. I want to read the 3rd to finish but I'm a little weary that it will be more childish back and forth and not great decisions.

Good read

This is a continuation of the first book, focusing on another couple in the Rakesh Bride series. Zora and Rah both have secrets they are keeping from each other and those close to them. The interactions and changes that take place between the couple are awesome to read. I can't wait to read book 3.

Rah and Zora.

I enjoyed the story very much as the 2nd book of the series it feels like a mini series that continues to evolve and get better. Zora although strong willed was able to recognize that she needed to let go of her past trauma to heal and enjoy the Rakesh she was paired with, Rah the smart and gentle older brother.

Best Series

Love these books about black woman and their alien lovers. Who would have thought 6…..6 penis on a male. I think a bit much but it seems to work. Glad this book hit on the topic of difficult pregnancy and illness. Glad the couple were able to get over their pass hurts together.

Good Read

I liked this story. I like that it’s about women of my color. I like the MC relationship. I recommend this book. However, if you don’t like a book with a lot of sex scenes, this may not be for you. I did skip a lot of those scenes myself. But I still like the story.

Rah has the patience of Job!

Twisting plots, a lot of steamy alien sex and a lot cultural differences for the kidnapped women to assimilate on Rakesh. Rah was very patient with his movie maker and she was insecure, snippy and reluctant to tell the truth. Enjoyed the story overall but hate the cliff hanger!

Awesome series!

This one was full of twists and turns. I loved how sweet Rah was to Zora. They both had secrets but were able to get past them. While everything is going along smoothly you forget somethings that happened in first book. Get ready for an adventure with this series. I’m looking forward to the next book.

it was okay

There was too much internal what if I tell my secret. What if he leaves me I hate that. But it did give the HEA. o also felt like all the other stories also believe the other stories should have been developed

Good Sequel

At first I was worried about the disdain the 2 main characters had for one another. However the story blossomed interestingly and I would definitely recommend it and you can read it without having read book 1.

Great Series

I have read the first two books. I am starting three book in the series about Jamila and Cepos. I hope that the women listed as characters get their own story. This series would make for a great mini series in my opinion. Love these stories. Keep it going!

I love the building of worlds and how vivid the scenes are. Story seemed a bit rushed in parts especially the abductions but great story and I look forward to finishing the series

May be my new favorite author

The story of Zora and Rah is just as relevant an good as book one, which is rare. Because it was a great second book which could have almost been a standalone, I gave it 5 stars.

A Secret for the Alien Prince

4 Stars Zora’s attitude it was overwhelming and I got to the point that I skipped pages to only read about Rah. High Prince Rah deserved his HEA. Cliffhanger Meh … Still cannot with Ivy and Jamilia. When is Estelle going to have King Abrax baby 😍😍
