That's me, in short. I've been writing since elementary school and won my first prize in seventh grade. I am a romantic at heart and love a happy ending! Join me on this writing (and reading) journey--you won't be disappointed!
This was a really good well written story. But Jenelle and Lucas, worked everyone of my last nerves. They really spent the entire book pretending like they weren’t meant to be. I’m glad their siblings gook matters into their own hands.
Jen & Lucas.. it took a while but loved they finally accepted they loved each other & got their HEA. I liked his sister not filing the divorce papers cause they all saw through their bullshxt..This was a lovely second chance romance story
I love second chance romance tropes, especially when it involves a marriage that can survive the second time around. But the slow burn of this book made me want to DNF this book a few times. I do not like slow burns. And the refusal of both Jenelle and Lucas to be honest and real about how they felt about each other tapped dance on my last nerve. But I get that it’s hard to be vulnerable and feel safe to speak your true feelings when you have been hurt deeply by the person. But they both still grated on my last nerve. The first 67% of this book frustrated me. I honestly didn’t start to enjoy the book until I was about 70% completed.
And whatever happened with the Women’s Shelter? It seemingly was an important detail in the first half of the book and then was never really brought up again in the second half.
This author has quickly become one of my favorites. Lucas and Janelle are trying in my nerves with the misunderstandings, assumptions, and arguments. Of those meddling sisters hadn't jumped in her would've been married and miserable to Dominique. I Jace read the books a little out of order so I know that something is brewing between Dominique and Daniel but I've yet to find a book. Hopefully that's coming.
What an ensemble cast! I think Elle Kayson does a great job of writing an ensemble cast. Everyone gets highlighted and it’s not confusing.
I adored this story. It made me think about real life so much. I will say, this was some hard truth wrapped in a book. No cheating. No lies. Sometimes, love is just complicated. Inner turmoil can cause so much external problems if you don’t deal with them.
I really like Janelle. She was as real, reflective, with just the right amount of she wished a mf would.
Now Lucas? Babyyyy, I love him but Janelle can keep him. I like my book baes to be a little more unrealistic 😭😭. He was sweet though but kept it too real.
Overall this was a good story. It’s a second chance romance between Lucas and Janelle. I liked the chemistry between the two but the lack of communication and resolution went on way too long. The story could have ended sooner. I like super spicy books and this book didn’t steam up until near the end and then it felt like nonstop sex between supporting characters more than the MCs. But overall this author is a good storyteller and I enjoyed the story.
A longggggggg awaited solution to a problem finally solved.
A very good read with characters that kept it interesting. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the longggggg awaited solution to a problem was finally solved. Jenelle being stubborn and Lucas being clueless and closed mouth kept them from happiness. Dominique was a non factor throughout the whole book.
I don’t like the title of the book; but I guess Fumbling Bumbling Pseudo Adults isn’t as marketable. Simply stated it is definitely one to skip. From page, I just couldn’t become vested in the stories being told. There has just a disconnect for me with the premise and characters.
This was different but good... so much needed to be said and the theme of really communicating with each other is a lesson that all but Egypt needed to learn. I do wish we go an update on the center an Dom, but really full good read.
Luc and Jen had the love but not the tools of listening and communication! They could have saved each other a lot of time. I’m just glad he came to his senses regarding Dominique, you don’t marry for convenience.
This book is so good but the problem is I read demon's dream before I read this book this was a very slow burn I was highly irritated how blind the female protagonist is. Also the male protagonist knows that he is being cruel but doesn't just walk away
I loved all the characters in the book, and I was really wanting Dom to become friends with the girls because poor tink ( even though she was acting stank ) didn't deserve that. I am interested to see what happens with Dom and Daniel
It was a good book, but omg they got on my nerves. Like get together already. When they got into arguments they really went low. Their insecurities did get in the way, however, I’m glad Elle created supporting characters that were rooting for them.
I really loved this book. I enjoyed every minute of it. The writing was phenomenal. Ms, Elle has grown so so so much.
HOWEVER - y’all can keep Jenelle. Sis pissed me off. Her friends treated her MAN like shit and she gaslit the hell out of him. Never even apologized for it!!!!

I typically enjoy this author but this book didn’t do it for me. I didn’t feel connected to the story and it was a slow burn romance up until the very end. Just wasn’t my cup of tea.
