Could our current mental health crisis be a result of the ongoing erosion of our country’s long held spiritual value system? This book offers a novel and fresh look at the oldest value system in existence, offering compelling insights and solutions to address the most foundational of all our mental health needs - the reviving our (the) soul! Whether you are an atheist or person of faith, the book will warm your heart while promoting optimal psychological functioning and healthy spirituality. - Daniel Binus MD - Founder & Medical Director - Beautiful Minds
A study on the beauty of God’s law, and how it contributes to mental and physical wellbeing, as well as spiritual health. Some of ways the author looks at God’s law of love are revolutionary. It’s a simple book and the story of Tom interwoven makes the book an easy read, but there is great depth to the content, and Mackintosh uses lots of Scripture to paint a portrait of an amazing God that challenges and touches even hardened hearts.
I gave this book to my thirteen year old son who befriended an atheist kid at a church event this summer because he wants to help him and this book provides a beautiful picture of a God that wants the best for all his children and to ease the pain of separation from Him. (Tom’s story has abuse, so heads up if sharing with your children.)
What a wonderful book that appeals to logic, and science as it integrates with faith. Don Mackintosh has a gift for that. Praise God for the testimony of Tom!
