I savored every word of this HEA!!

It was a long time coming, but well worth the wait!

I loved Melanie and Robbie's HEA!! They had their troubles, but they found their way through them and to the other side, together.

He knew she was who he wanted. He just had to make some changes to get her to accept that he was who she wanted too.

And even though Robbie needed to be the one who changed, Melanie had to open up to him again. Because he had hurt her before...repeatedly. She needed to learn to trust him again.

Which, despite their hot, hot, HOT chemistry, was not easy at all.

Especially since he may have lied to her to get her attention again in the first place.

Seeing Melanie get her happy ending and join Trix & Nora in couplehood was just what this trio of friends needed.

I love it when the Kissiverse gets another HEA.

Rob and Melanie's story was Abso-freaking-lutely swoon-worthy and heart melting.
Oh my.. I couldn't put down this book. I was so engrossed and so wanting to know how they would come together. Right from the start when Melanie feels like a fifth wheeler in company of her friends, when they are out, wanting her own someone special with her. She thinks about her secret admirer who sends her beautiful flowers and she wonders who it could be and when she would see him.
When her wallowing turns into guzzling down alcohol like water, enter to the rescue Robbie, her ex-husband who she just can't stand.
But he takes her home and makes sure she's taken care of. Yet, next morning when she finds that the Robbie who's standing in front of her is a much improved version of the person she once knew and left behind, she can't help but think of the What if, once again she could go for it.
Robbie is truly a changed man for when Melanie left him was when his world completely stopped moving on its axis.
But now he wants her back and he has a few tricks up his sleeves. But it's definitely not going to be easy as Melanie doesn't trust him anymore.
I was throughout rooting for robbie and trust me the crackling chemistry between both of them had me like.. JUST FREAKING GET TOGETHER. I was so happy that the Author puts us out of our misery sooner as those scenes between them are just 🔥🔥🔥😍😍.
Especially knowing how much Robbie is in love with Melanie. For him she's his soulmate. *swoon*.
Also, Melanie's friends are AMAZING and they felt more like her sisters than her friends. They support her but also they do anything and everything they can for the goodness of their friend. 😍😜
READ, READ this one, I promise you, you're gonna fall in love with the characters and this story will definitely stay with you. 😍😍😍😍

From the very first moment we met them in the very first book of the series, sniping and snarking at each other all the way, I knew I needed to know more about Melanie and Robbie. How they came to be the people they are when we meet them, and hopefully to see them get their second chance. This is their second chance! (Or really, I’m not sure what number chance this actually represents for these two...) They made me laugh. They brought me to the brink of tears. This pair took me on an emotional roller-coaster. I loved Melanie and Robbie and I wanted to hug them tight, promising it would all work out in the end. At the same time, I badly wanted to shake some sense into the both of them and tell them not to be so stupid. They’re lovable and frustrating in equal measures, making them just about the perfect romantic fiction couple. I was very impressed with the author’s handling of addictions and the ways they impact lives. Also, I’m glad that this story gives me some of the answers I was still looking for at the end of the first book and I adore that this book closes out with epilogues for all three couples from the series.

It's never a good idea to start your campaign to win back your ex with lies but that's just what Robbie does in Pretty Ever After. And even when he is making headway, he continues to lie. He even boasts about it like his plan is very clever, and I wince. I am quite fond of Robbie but this is obviously going to bite him in the butt. I feel for Melanie because being married to Robbie was no bed of roses. Who can blame her for being afraid to trust the new and sober Robbie? If only she could see into his heart, like we can.

This is another wonderful romance by the marvelous Tabatha Kiss. The writing is great and made me feel like a part of the story. I love the smart, fun dialogue and I adore all of these characters. They have a lot of heart and have been through so much together. It's the final book and the last piece of this trilogy is all about reuniting Melanie and Robbie and setting them on their path to happy ever after. In addition to Melanie's epilogue we even get one for Nora and Trix. I am going to miss this group of friends. This story is a fitting, touching end to this great series.

Can Love Prevail After Hurt abs Lies

Title: Pretty Ever After
Author: Tabatha Kiss
Format: ebook
Genre: romance, second chance, comedy
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: book 3 of 3 in the Chicago Nights series
POV: Melanie and Robbie
Steam Level: toasty
5/5

While Pretty Ever After is a standalone I highly recommend reading the first two books first. In them Tabatha Kiss builds up the tension between Melanie and Robbie Witt brief glimpses and flashes. The heat and love still present is undeniable but can they overcome the spectacular failure of their marriage. I love that the symbolism of the ribbons is revealed in Pretty Ever After. Trix is, I think, still my favorite character in this series and she lived up to that here. I loved Robbie’s friendship with the girls which is unique from Melanie’s And Clive seeking him out for advice. And Roger needs a book. You can tell that Tabatha Kiss had a blast writing these characters and I loved seeing a young Drew (from On His Face). Tabatha Kiss is a great writer and her Tabbyverse of interconnected characters is brilliant! If you like steam, humor, suspense and second chances then Pretty Ever After is the book for you.

We finally finally get Robbie and Melanie’s story; I have been waiting for this story since I started this series.

I didn’t know what to expect from this couple but I was so ready. We finally learn the reason of what broke up the crazy couple that is Melanie and Robbie. This book was odd for me in a few ways because is it normal to love the hero but also dislike him while understanding the heroine’s reasons but also being annoyed by constant leaving?

I loved that Robbie did everything he could to win back his soulmate, but geez the man’s plan needed some adjustment. He kept trying to prove he changed his ways, but you could see that he was using his old tactics on Melanie. Now Melanie just needed to make up her mind and either be with Robbie fully or let him go.

In the end, I just loved Robbie’s determination to not lose his Melanie and I loved that Melanie’s family and friends kept trying to help. That ending with Alex was so unexpected and totally made me love Robbie even more.

Roger, what can I say about Roger, he was so epic and kind of want book or novella on him.

The epilogues were so cute and a nice way to end this series.

As much as I don't like Robbie's manipulative ways, I got why he did it. In my opinion Robbie did redeem himself at the end. I didn't like Robbie most of the story I found him intrusive, manipulative and arrogant, now mind you this is his bad qualities. His good qualities his love for Melanie, his determination win Melanie and getting his life straight. Melanie is harder for me I found her a little wishy-washy when it came to Robbie, I get why though. When Melanie discovers she loves Robbie she is all in. Melanie and Robbie did make me laugh. In my opinion this is a great conclusion to the Chicago Nights Series. If you have not read the first two books I would recommend doing it because you get three epilogues, one for each friend Melanie and Robbie, Trix and Lance, and Nora and Clive. Which in my opinion this book is worth that alone. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.

Melanie and Robbie ... OH MY!!!!

That's a hell of a story! I am literally speechless!
These characters gave me a real headache!
Melanie is the stubbornest character I have ever read about, that's for sure! She is stubborn to a fault, to be precise, always on the run when something doesn't go her way, especially in her relationship with Robbie, her ex-husband, always giving vent to her heart with her friends about ... Well, you have to read that yourself!

And Robbie? Well, let's just say he's a close second... always charming someone to do something for him, always scheming to win back his beloved ex-wife ...

There's so much back and forth in their relationship, so many twists and turns, that my head was spinning more than once!

This is the very worthy conclusion of this fantastic series, a really fulminant finale!

This is book 3 in the Pretty series of 3 friends. We read about Nora in book 1, and Trix in book 2. In both books we met Melanie and her ex husband Robbie, who are the H and h in this book.

Melanie is a rich girl, made richer by being a bestselling romance author. We find out that she divorced Robbie because he was an alcoholic. The first two books teased about these two still being in love. This book is the satisfying conclusion of watching them realize they don’t know as much about the other as they thought, and finding their way back to each other.

Yes there’s drama and silly misunderstandings, but they’re not over the top and they don’t get in the way of a HEA.

I love Tabatha Kiss, and this series was probably my favorite of hers.

Robbie and Mel fell head over heals for each when they met and well, she didn't know that he was an alcoholic. They married but it wasn't all bliss. Robbie was drinking, lying and stealing money from Mel's purse for more alcohol. But, Robbie wasn't all to blame, because there relationship was toxic to begin with and Mel wasn't helping by enabling him in his bad habits. They are now divorced and Robbie still loves Mel and he has been sober for seven months and he plots, just like Mel writing her books, to get his wife back. This book was full of so many ups and downs that you didn't know what to think when you got done reading it. This series is a total must read and the epilogues and this was a great way to end this series.

The wait for Robbie and Melanie was worth it! Robbie had a lot to make up for to win Melanie back and boy did he do it. He really man'd up for his (ex) wife. Melanie was done. She has a new guy in her life. She's moving on... Or is she? Robbie is hilarious. I especially love him with Trix. They're such good friends and they are hilarious together. We also got to see more of Roger. You'll find out how he fits into this story. I kinda wish we got his story. lol

In true Tabatha Kiss fashion, she wraps up this series perfectly. Nora's epilogue was HOT. I need more of them. lol Trix's epilogue was so sweet! Melanie gets her HEA and a new addition to the family. I'm sure the antics they get into would fill another book. While I am sad to see the girls' stories end, I'm satisfied with their heas. Definitely check out this series and get ready for a binge read!!

The long awaited book 3 in the Chicago Nights series is finally here! I’ve been so excited to dig in to Robbie and Melanie’s story since Pretty Little Thing (book 1). This couple intrigued me since they first appeared on the page and that intrigue came along for the ride throughout this whole story, I just loved them from page 1. There was lots of humour, steamy moments and a rollercoaster of emotions.
I loved Melanie and Robbie together. I loved the back and forth banter they had as well as those times they got along with each other, I thought they were perfect together.
I loved and enjoyed all the interactions between these other characters as well - Nora, Clive, Trix, Haley, Lance and Roger and Val too. There was humour, intense moments and some very sweet scenes that were heart melting.
And those epilogues were just too cute, I so wanted more after that!

This was such a wonderful and entertaining read!
I usually read pretty dark romance but needed something lighter for a change. And this definitely delivered!
I absolutely loved dialogue, whether it was between Melanie and Robbie, or Melanie and her two best friends. The witty banter between Melanie and Robbie was just perfect and it will definitely put a smile on your face. The storyline was balanced blend of humor, passion and second chances. I simply adored Robbie and Melanie although they both frustrated me more than they should. But they were perfect for each other, and I’m so glad Robbie never gave up on Melanie.

We FINALLY get Robbie and Melanie’s story, the divorced “couple” who we have read about in the two previous books and now we get their story.
These two were on fire, in and out of the bedroom, the banter that had me laughing and snorting out loud, the steam that had me drinking many glasses of ice water to cool down and the struggles they both face, especially Robbie and his sobriety.
Once again this author delivers a read that is a page turner, a read I couldn’t put down till I was done. The past characters all make appearances and I loved seeing where each of them were in their lives and their HEA’s and the extra epilogues featuring Clive and Nora, Lance and Trix, and Robbie and Melanie....BONUS !!!!

4 stars for the writing, well written and pulls you in, 5 stars for the hero, the lengths he goes to...sigh. 3 stars for the heroine, early in the book Melanie (a romance writer) takes a hard look into her WIP and asks why was the heroine going after the hero, well throughout the book I kept asking why Robbie thought Melanie was worth the trouble because I was finding it hard to connect with her. I kept wanting her attitude to improve, for there to be a click and the couple would fall into place but I'm not sure it really ever did. I will say I was glad to read the book and liked the HEA it's just that the pairing left me with mixed feelings but I did enjoy the witty banter among the characters so all in all, I'd say it was a good read.

Realistic, Emotional and Entertaining!!

Melanie is an author and feels like a 5th-wheel as all her friends find their match. She is divorced from the love of her life after he became an alcoholic. When he comes back into her life, and a secret admirer makes himself known; decisions must be made and perhaps her heart can mend.

This is the conclusion of a series. I must admit I did not read the prior books as was recommended. At no time did I feel lost, and the emotions and struggle came through loud and clear in this story alone. I’ve recently started reading this author and could not turn down the opportunity for this story – it was excellent as a single, and I’m certain the entire series would be a treat!!

I was so excited to read this book! This series has been great, and I couldn't wait to read Robbie and Melanie's story. The writing flowed well, and kept me turning pages. While I wanted to love Robbie, his methods were way off base. I knew it was going to blow up in his face, and it did. Melanie was a little too indecisive for me. She walked away from Robbie repeatedly in this book, only to come right back. I do think that they had great chemistry together, and they made a good couple after everything is out in the open. The ending was surprising for me. It all works out, but still surprising. I LOVED that all 3 women get an epilogue. It was nice to have the series end that way.

I am sure I was not the only one waiting on Melanie and Rob's drama to unfold. It was worth the wait. The story will take you on an emotional roller coaster. it is seven months after the divorce. Rob is not over Mel and wants her back. The marriage was not pretty and when Melanie left, her hit rock bottom. It also caused him to start getting his act together. Even with his issues you cheer for Rob. Melanie, of course is a little wary. and she should be, Rob has good intention but his execution is not good. We will blame it on love. Well written.book that deals with the harshness of addiction and second chances yet still can have you smile at the antics of the characters.

I really like Tabatha’s book and this was no different. We finally get to see what happens with Robbie and Melanie. One way to get your ex back, is not lie. Robbie wants to prove he has changed since his and Melanie’s marriage went down the drain 7 months prior. He has always loved her and she him. You can see the connection between them, but sometimes, love isn’t always enough. This took me on one emotional up and down ride. I laughed and teared up. There were times when I shook my head and wanted to shake some sense into them. This is about going through great and not always the correct lengths to get the person you love back. I loved this story and being able to see their friends again.

Mel and Robbie. I was waiting for this book. Melanie is a Romance writer and Robbie is her ex husband. Robbie is a recovering alcoholic who still is madly in love with his wife.. he messed up and let her go if you read the Pretty little things and Pretty dirty trick you know that Mel and Robbie have chemistry and fight like cats and dogs. But he looks out for Mel and her friends. This book is a second chance on love . It is also about trusting and learning to forgive. As these two figure out how to find their way back to each other . There is a lot of humor and jokes . There are tear. Although Robbie is trying I did cry for him because it’s hard to realize you might have messed up and lost the one you love.. there are a few surprises and twist. The book is very well written .

This is another good book in this series. A new reader could probably read this as a stand-alone, but would appreciate the nuances & side characters (that have a history in the previous books) more, if they start with book 1 in the series. It's no hardship to do so, as book 1 & 2 are great! This book had a lot of angst and a lot of the couple getting in their own way towards their HEA. I was skeptical that they could work it out, as they seemed to be a bit toxic for each other early in the book. But they worked it out in the end, and have the HEA us readers love. Great end to the series with epilogues for each of the couples in the 3 book series.

This is the concluding part to this series and what an ending it was. This is a second chance romance and who doesn’t love them .I have been waiting for their story from first reading them in the other books and it doesnt disappoint. I loved their banter it had me laughing out loud and it was just perfect for them. It was filled with passion and you do root for them hoping that their second chance will work out for them. You also get to catch up with the other two couples and I think this was the perfect way to end this series.

The story we have all been waiting for!

It’s here,
It’s finally here!

And man oh man was it something amazing, well it was pretty perfect actually and just the right amount of over the top! And it was just like Melanie and Robbie perfectly imperfect. After so many hurdles these two had to go through they needed their happily ever after! It wasn’t easy getting there, but Robbie paid his dues and he wanted his wife back more than he wanted that bottle of liquor.

He did it,
They did it,
They finally got the ending they deserved!

Curse of the Series!

Just like pretty much every series I’ve read, by the time it made it to the final installment, the author list momentum and the final book didn’t quite do for what I’d hoped. Robbie didn’t disappoint. His character felt authentic and relatable. Melanie, however, felt very two-dimensional. He lacked depth in her emotions. Found it hard to believe she’d be deserving of her friends and Robbie. My gut wanted to give this 3-stars, but the 3-book character development of Robbie wouldn’t allow that.

Tabatha is one of my favorite writers and she never disappoints. This is the third and final book of this series and it was definitely worth the wait. I do recommend reading the previous books before this one because there are three epilogues for all three couples and you will be spoiled if you dont. It's full of heart, love, witty comebacks and more. One of my favorite series.

Pretty Ever After is a fantastic second chance romance. I have been waiting for Melanie and Robbie's story. I knew they were meant to be, Mel just needed a little push. Robbie gets his life together and tries to woo back Melanie. Their romance was very interesting and how they got to their happy ending. All the other characters were great! Those are some wonderful friendships. I highly recommend this book and the whole series, its truly amazing.

A cute, sweet and fun second chance romance read! Robbie and Melanie finally has their HEA and its was filled with laugh out moments that kept me entertained from start to finish. I enjoyed the storyline and was rooting for their finally which at times seemed to be messed up with all the antics, drama, and secrets throughout their journey.
