She had a goal. She had a plan. Her heart had other ideas.
Between the swim team, two degrees, and working up the courage to crush her parents’ dreams, Joy Blake has no time for relationships. Which means her attraction to Aldo Rossi, the captain of the men’s team, is going to have to be ignored.
But when she shares a drunken kiss with her jaded coach, Doug McMann, and the man who broke her heart is hired as assistant coach, everything she had planned falls apart.
There was no space in her life for a man. How can there be room for three?
Addison Arrowdell writes spicy adult romance that has heat with heart. She believes that even the darkest story should have laugh out loud moments and loves writing witty dialogue.
Another 'why choose' / poly / reverse harem from Addison Arrowdell and it doesn't disappoint.
What I love about these is that the men all have their own relationships too. In Forbidden, we have a bit of history between some of the characters and then a whole lot of new between them as the story progresses.
Doug is gold. Possibly one of my favourite book characters ever. He's so heartbreakingly broken, but also hilarious. I laughed out loud and cried reading his chapters.
Aldo and Lane are both swoonworthy and if I could take Joy's place I would in a heart beat.
Definitely recommend this if you like MMMF and can handle your spice - because yowza.
Addison never ceases to impress me, the books in the series get better and better. Forbidden has so much depth in it that it completely sucked me in and held me until the book got finished. It’s a beautiful story of Joy, Aldo, Lane, and Doug. The story has an epic journey and the events are monumental. There were so many ups and downs, self-realizations, insecurities, past, and rumors and it all combined made the story perfect for me to enjoy and love.
It’s a reverse harem and the road to the harem was quite difficult and challenging. I loved all the characters and their development was phenomenal with time and as the story demanded. I enjoyed a little glimpse of CARTER from ROAD TRIP. This RH is nothing like I have read before, it’s pure emotions and self evolvement. Everything about the story screamed awesome to me.
this series just keeps getting better and better and i am UNWELL. i mean, you all know i am a big ol' fan of sports rh romances but add in the extra elements of forbidden (ha), second chance, AND friends to lovers? helLO i devoured this instantly. · before i go on, i need to set one record straight: aldo is the loml and i am ready to throw down for him. lane and doug are fab too but aldo is my everything and very much my favorite character even tho i don't have to choose 😂 · addison always does a phenomenal job juggling the perfect balance of plot and spice in a multi-pov story and she delivered alllll the things in forbidden!! following joy on her journey as she tackles her senior year of college and parental expectations is super relatable in a way that made me 🫠 in a good way tho lol. · i could go on and on but i urge you to get this book now and see for yourselves how amazing it is !!!!
Joy has it all under control: swim captain of the womens team, two degrees and no distractions! But when a mutually drunken kiss from Coach McMann brings feelings she wasn’t expecting, things could change. Add her high school flame coming in as assistant coach AND the mens swim team captain catching her eye, maybe something casual is a good idea.
But something casual may turn into more when feelings start forming……she didn’t have room for ONE man…….could she possibly have room for THREE?! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved this! The development of the relationships of each of these characters with each other was warm and strong. The inner traumas they each have to work through to decide if their happiness is worth fighting for was so relatable and I loved them altogether!
Addison has done it again with another amazing read in the Franklin West Series. This is book 4 but can be read as a standalone. Each story in this series focuses on one couple(s). I definitely suggest reading in order. Not because you have too but because you don't want to miss out on any of these stories.
This one focuses on Joy. Captain of the Women's Swim Team and Olympic hopeful. The problem is she wants to focus on Music Production and not become an Olympian which will destroy her parents dreams for her.. Joy also wants to enjoy her senior year and not worry or stress out about a relationship that will be over once she graduates. What she doesn't expect is to find an attraction to not only her swim coach but her fellow Men's Swim Captain. Oh did I forget to mention that FW has hired a new assistant coach, Joy's ex! What is she going to do? How can she handle one relationship with all her current worries? Even more so, how can she handle 3????
I will never stop screaming from the top of my lungs at how amazing an author Addison Arrowdell is. She can write romance and spice like no other! She truly can make you immerse yourself into the story and the next thing you know, the book is over. The romantic aspect of this story is so heartfelt and emotional. I truly was in tears during certain points of this story. The sex scenes are so well written and sincere. I FELT the emotions while reading. This is what makes Addison's books so wonderful and riveting. Please go pick up this series! Addison is one of the most underrated romance writers around. I give this book 5 stars!!!
I’m not sure what is in the water at this school but I’m going to need some of it.
An MMMF romance that hits so many tropes I’m sure I’ll miss a few. Coach Doug McMann has crossed the line when it comes to the captain of the men’s swimming team at Franklin University. But when it’s called off, Doug returns the next school year out of sorts. To make matters worse, the Dean has assigned an assistant coach from under his nose. One that is about to stir up a whole lot more than just trouble.
I can honestly say I am not a fan of sports romance. This one was the perfect one to turn me over!
It was a bit confusing at first to follow who everyone was and who everyone was interested but even Doug questions it all for me and it clears it all up for me. Which was nice because I needed some explanation on positions as well.
I won’t go too far into details but enemies to lovers, second chances, why choose, and so much many more tropes can be found in this fun and kinky read about finding love in the most forbidden places.
A good book but I found it a bit repetitive; and it could’ve done with a bit more drama / plot
- RH (3 guys & lots of mm) - Everyone loves everyone 👀 - 2 swim coaches + 2 students - All over 18 (university setting) - Steamy - Angsty - Lane and Joy were childhood sweethearts who had a bad break up - Doug is an asshole - Aldo is basically the only emotionally mature one
