This isn’t about rekindling an old flame. This is about vengeance, plain and simple.
Vadim: The last time I saw her, she turned down my marriage proposal. Now she’s in desperate need of my help. I thought I’d put the past behind me, but seeing her again is bringing back everything I’ve worked so hard to bury. I’m no longer the man she thinks I am. I’ve become the man I had to so I could survive in this world without her and make my fortune. I can bring Nadia into my house and help her without letting her get to me again. After all, this is all about humiliating her father, the head of the Vasiliev Bratva. A simple transaction and nothing more.
Nadia: The last time I saw him, he was down on one knee, and I was breaking both our hearts with the one word he didn’t want to hear and that I was forced to say. The last six years have been absolute hell for me. Memories of Vadim were the only thing to get me through it. But the man I knew is gone This Vadim is hard-edged and indifferent, covered in tattoos under his fancy suits, and an ice-cold stare that makes it clear he cares nothing about me. Turns out the man who’s supposed to be keeping me safe is the very one who could be my undoing.

My Russian Salvation is a very steamy, second chance, age gap romance. This is the third book in the Russian Boxing Club series, an interconnected series that can be read as standalones, but it’s more enjoyable if you read them in order. No cliffhangers, no cheating, and an HEA is always guaranteed!
“He did not give off if you need a hug, come in for a good cuddle vibes.”
Vadim Sidorov is a wealthy, cold, and calculating lawyer that represents several major criminal masterminds. He has spent the last six years focused on amassing power and wealth so his revenge plan will be successful. Six years ago, he lost the love of his life when she abruptly ended their relationship and her father threatened him. He knew in that moment he would never allow himself to be held in such a vulnerable position. Taking everything away from Igor Vasiliev was his only mission now.
Nadia Vasiliev has been a shell of her former self since her father forced her to end her relationship. She couldn’t bare the thought of her beloved being hurt and sacrificed her happiness and well-being to save his life. Physically abused and isolated, Nadia has simply been a pawn that her father moves around to bend to his will. She has a new fiancé and survives from memories of happier times. When Lev Petrov is murdered, Nadia’s father entrusts Vadim to protect his daughter and rid of the evidence that would incriminate him in his father’s fiancé’s murder. Well, well, well… how perfectly orchestrated!
Vadim is angry. He believes that Nadia chose to end their relationship and has lived happily engaged to Lev until the time of his death. Oh how wrong he is. He treats Nadia like garbage and shows off not only his wealth but his bachelor lifestyle. If he has suffered endlessly for the last six years, why should she get her happy-ever-after? I definitely wanted to smack him so many times for how he behaved with Nadia. Only a fool so hellbent on revenge could miss the signs of suffering that Nadia has also endured. He drives an already broken Nadia to the edge of what she can mentally handle and almost loses her after he shatters her soul.
“I wish I could do everything differently. I wish I’d pull you into my arms when you walked into my office and told you how much I’ve missed you and how much I still love you. I wish I could change so many things, Nadia, but I can’t. All I can do is to promise never hurt you again.”
The GROVEL. Oh my gosh. I’m not sure I have ever read such good groveling by a man. It has to be over-the-top redeeming grovel for me and if you love a ruthless man on his knees pleading for forgiveness then you will be obsessed with Vadim. The moment he realized that Nadia almost died under his roof and she still had the engagement ring he gave her? Woo-wee. He was utterly destroyed and I squealed. I had to re-read that scene more than once. All I can say is… READ. THIS. BOOK. You won’t regret it!
Tropes: Mafia romance, Dark romance, happily-ever-after Heat: 4/5.

My Russian Salvation was one hell of a dangerous ride. Filled with possessive, brooding alpha's who will do whatever it takes to protect the women they love.
Nadia and Vadim met while they were in school. They were together for years. On the night Vadim proposes to her, she is forced to break his heart in the coldest way possible. Fast forward and Vadim is a top lawyer and well sought for. He has turned into a cold, ruthless man who has amassed his own wealth and power. He receives an unexpected call that throws him back into the path of the very woman who tore out his heart.
Nadia Vasiliev, on the other hand, has become a shell of herself. Ever since her father forced her to end her relationship to keep the man she loves safe, she has been in a sea of darkness. Abused for years, she has been treated as nothing more than a pawn by her father as he forces her to obey him and tie herself to a cruel and vicious man.
In an unexpected twist, Nadia is thrown back into Vadim's life when he is requested to protect her and destroy any evidence that would incriminate him in the murder. But Vadim is not the man she remembers. He is driven by vengeance. He believes that Nadia has been happily living her life after she broke his heart. He treats her as nothing more than a burden. He flaunts his new life in her face at every opportunity. In his eyes, he has every right to. She got to be happy, so why can't he be?
What happens when he walks into a scene of his nightmares? Will he realize he has been a fool and see what is right in front of him? Just what lengths will Vadim go to earn Nadia's forgiveness? And what, if anything, will be done about the vile man who has been playing with their lives in the shadows?
In the third 'Boxing Club' book we get Vadim's story. We have briefly been introduced to Vadim with being a brusk, no nonsense lawyer who is closed off to even friends.
We also meet Nadia, the love of his life that has had alot of struggles and can't quite stand to live without Vadim in her life. There are trigger warnings at the start because of this. Nadia's story is a hard story and Sonja did a great job in choosing the right character in Vadim to support the pain and then the strength and growth and love of Nadia's character.
I don't think that Nadia's character would have suited being part of a Bratva love story. But that we had a 'before' and 'now' and the difference in both Vadim & Nadia's lives and personalities and how they had changed into shells of what they were. With the subjects that were talked and written about regarding Nadia; it wouldn't have made as much as an impact or given the characters much time to shine if this book was written any differently.
Yes, some parts are confronting and hard to read with tears running down your face. But it also has some funny moments, loving memories and moments, great love scenes and also a strength in the characters and their relationship that is different to other Mafia/Bratva books.
I very much enjoyed the mix of all the previous characters and also the future characters for Mikhail's series.
The one thing I would've REALLY loved was the birth. In the book there is specific reference to it and a funny moment to go with it and I was looking forward to it; but we didn't get it even in the Bonus Epilogue.
I will be looking out for the new books by Sonja Grey.
I did really enjoy this one but….. The title of this book is age gap romance. How old are Nadia and Vadim/Vadik? They were apart for six years, so how old was she when they slept together? There are quite a few spelling mistakes and missing words in this one.
So, having said all of that, on with the plot. This book actually has one, unlike some of them. Nadia and Vadik are madly in love and he’s going to propose to her, when she breaks up with him. He knows it’s her fathers doing, so six years later when he’s looking after her as a favour to the Bratva, why is he so angry with her? Why is Nadia sent to him? It’s never explained.
After he’s treat her awfully, Nadia tries to commit suicide. THIS IS NOT A SPOILER AS THE AUTHOR ALREADY WARNED ABOUT IT! He feels so much remorse about how he’s treated her, he should feel guilty as he’s a d*ck to her. They gradually fall in love again and it’s really sweet.
There is a tiny bit of danger, which I wished it was more, but I still really enjoyed it.
While she was miserable for 6 years, he was a manwh*r*… yeah, yeah, she was the one breaking it off but still I hated it. When she comes into his life again, he’s completely oblivious to her pain and hurts her even more! And she forgives him too easily, there’s no epic grovel like it should.

Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, arranged marriage, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love (ALL THINGS TO EXPECT FROM THE MAFIA WORLD). By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! CAN’T SAY YOU WEREN’T WARNED!!!!!! These two met doing school loved throughout school enough to gain a proposal but her father decided to come one forcing his way, his control, and them now lets fast forward six years and that very same father needs a favor. Vadim sexy as all get out top lawyer to go to guilty innocent it doesn’t matter but he won’t take cases dealing with trafficking or hurting women or children but everything else if fair game and so when he gets the request from a Bratva boss as a favor he agrees to take the babysitting job of his ex but all he wants to do is exact revenge. Nadia intelligent was happy at one point but her father came throwing her world upside down, into darkness, abuse, beatings, turned her mother into a drinking mess after getting beat on a daily basis so when she is taken to the very man whose past between them got her through the worst parts of what she has dealt with but before realizing how broken she really he of course he has to dig the nails in a little deeper to the point of where she wants to just die to really ease the pain which isn’t her first time so when he has pushed her too far she decides to write a last note to him and takes a whole bottle of sleeping pills now it just so happened he left the house for the night but forgot his keys and the moment he walks in he knows something is off so checking on her seeing what she did sends him into a tailspin to save her the women he loves, has always loved, and will always love. Praying he got to her in time which he did but it wasn’t just a wake up call for him it was also a wakeup call for her they both realize they are no good without the other so making the decision to take care of her to show her how much he truly loves her but above all to heal her make her the girl he fell in love with so many years ago but with her father’s threats, the man who her father allowed to beat her is out there waiting so when he takes her with her fathers permission to beat , rape, but do not kill will her husband get there in time to save her, will her father pay for his cruelty, will Krill get what’s coming to him and can these two finely have the happiness they so deserve?.

Wow, I was blown away by this storyline. This was nothing short of AMAZING. She is such a talented writer! Such details, world building. Oh my goodness, so many emotions...I love the writing style and the connection I've felt to her characters. The world she has created is so interesting and you really feel the love between the pairing. This was a bit heavier than I realized and it was haunting and beautifully done.
She had no choice and paid this price unfairly for so long. He almost realized this too late...
My heart just broke. Just...oh my. This was so powerful and painful. Be prepared, serious triggers here. My heart goes out to this poor female character. She was put in such heartbreak and for the longest time, the only one to pay the price because of others. My goodness, this author just broke me. This girl finally got her happiness, but my goodness...what trials. I loved seeing the previous characters that I absolutely love. **Spoilers, rest of paragraph** My gripe here-did this H have to do the typical sleeping with others thing while his h MORE than suffered? She attempted the worst of worst, could we not have her man just keep it in his pants? He didn't do something unbelievable, but for their love, for the h that suffered too much-and for us readers-why couldn't he just do without in their time apart? Too painful for me on that aspect. Like I said, this was hauntingly beautiful. But perfection for me would be an equally tormented H that hurt just as bad that he, too-wouldn't touch another. Excellent writing and so darn powerful.

I am trying to update my reviews and I read this before the release!
This was hands down my favorite of Sonja’s books! And it’s the last of hers I needed to read. As soon as I started Vadim’s story my heart was breaking for this man. His love for Nadia was so apparent and to see him broken over her, broke my heart. Losing her in the beginning made him even more determined to become the best lawyer and make her father pay and prove him wrong. For 6 years these two were separated, but neither got over each other. I hated her father for everything he did to keep them apart, and how he allowed Nadia to be beaten and abused. He deserved so much more than he got in the end. I loved both Nadia and Vadim. She went through so much pain and wanted to give up, and seeing her character strengthened by the end of the story was truly everything. And I can’t even begin to describe how amazing and special Vadim was. How he loved her was beyond beautiful. This book grabbed me right away and I couldn’t put it down. I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did, and I’m glad I saved it for last to read. It was emotional, heart wrenching at times, but the way they love each other is truly beautiful. They waited and fought for their happily ever after and finally got it!
Trigger warnings (some on page, some just mentioned) past abuse suicide attempt violence kidnapping attempted SA Alcoholism Murder
The lawyer from books 1 and 2 finally gets his story, and it ties in the Bratva without being in the Bratva. She was the woman he wanted to marry and love forever. He was the man her Bratva father made her give up in order to save his life. For the next 6 yrs, she lives in hell and he builds his own empire. Then, the father calls in a favor and it's the beginning of the end. Things start off bad between them and gets so much worse. Bad enough that she is done and wants the forever nap. He quickly let's her know that he never stopped loving her, and things just keep getting better for them. Waiting until the other shoe drops (86%) is almost torture. But when it does drop, wow.
There are scenes of definite adult content that should only be read by adults over 18. There are serious triggers in this book as well. (As well as a few typos)

This was probably my favorite book in the series. Vadim was always so smug and reserved in the other books that I wasn't sure how his story would go. Meeting the woman who made him cold and aloof was such a wild ride. This one absolutely ripped my heart out before putting it back together again. Poor Nadia has been through so much and she just doesn't have much left in her world that brings happiness. This story makes you feel every emotion you can think of.. anger, sorrow, pity, love, disgust... And then you get to the most satisfying conclusion. I loved how this story wove everything from the other books together and tied it up. I loved it and look forward to more from this author.

I have read a few books by this author and this is the first one I have not finished. I am not really sure why I couldn't just push through but I couldn't. I just felt like there was so much being held over their head from the beginning and it was taking forever to deal with the conflict. It felt like the conflict was just being ignored. I love romance, don't get me wrong. I loved that they were reconnecting and trusting each other again. But I was just waiting and waiting from SOMETHING to happen, and it wasn't happening. I might try to go back and finish the book in the next few days, in which case I will revise this. But I don't think it'll happen.
I really liked this book but I’m not going to deny that I didn’t enjoy some things which justifies why i’m giving it 4 stars.
Well the story line is super good as predicted from Sonja Grey ! The characters are good I mean like really good and I loved the relationship between them.
The only black spot for me was the fact that Nadia and Vadim were back to being with each other so rapidly and the “main trope” or whatever it is called not coming until so much later in the story.
It made it feel like the book was never ending and it was more frustrating since I knew something was coming but it was taking so long for me to appreciate the other things.
Nevertheless, I still think that this book was worth reading and I pretty much loved it !
Vadim is introduced in Dimitri’s book. He is the cold lawyer who represents the Boxing club.
Vadim once was in love with Nadia and proposed to her. Nadia was in love with Vadim and wanted to accept his proposal, but to save him she turned it down. The book picks up 6 years later when Nadia’s dad needs his help. This book is a second chance, close proximity romance. There are trigger warnings listed so make sure to read them before you start the book. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. The closeness, the love, the hurt, you can feel it through the pages. Great read!
This is 5 star bratva excellence from start to finish. The storyline and plot for Vadim & Nadia takes you on a highly emotional rollercoaster ride that holds your attention from the 1st line to the last line. Nadia desperately needs help but is Vadim willing to after their history? How will Vadim react when he realises Nadia was forced all those years ago? If you love bratva romance that has great depth I highly recommend reading My Russian Salvation.

Vadim once was in love, with Nadia, but she broke both their hearts when she said no to his proposal. Now she's in danger no thanks to her father and Vadim steps up to help her, but he's not the same man Nadia remembers, Can they have a second chance? Or will Vadims hurt destroy what little chance there is left? And what lies ahead, when truths come to light, and jobs don't get done. Well written emotionally charged, engaging, second chances, desires, steamy scenes and more.
This was Vadim & Nadia’s story. The last time I saw him, he was down on one knee, and I was breaking both our hearts with the one word he didn’t want to hear and that I was forced to say. The last six years have been absolute hell for me. Memories of Vadim were the only thing to get me through it. But the man I knew is gone. This was an intense & intriguing read. Loved it. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Rip my heart out, break it, stomp all over it and throw it out. Vadim and Nadia are just ughhhh, I actually cried when reading, and that has happened very few times. I love them separately, I love them together. I love their story. I love their HEA. This is my first book by Sonja Grey, and it will not be the last.
Very nice story. I enjoyed reading it and it has a good writing style. Plot was nice. Strong female main character who, after going through a lot, still managed to find her happiness. I definitely recommend it.

Oh my heart! The swoon and HEAT level was OTT amazing!!!!!
It was a faced pace read which I enjoyed - a nice break from the slow burn reads. I loved the fact that the drama was minimal and did NOT drag. I enjoyed the steamy parts - well written by Sonja
I will say that it the storyline went OTT with the perfect life and all the materialistic items but all in all it was a good read.
A steamy mafia second chance story. Despite a painful past and impending dangers, Vadim and Nadia get their second chance at happiness. written in an accessible writing style, fast read.

Another fantastic instalment in the Russian Boxing Club series. Deliciously dark and dangerous. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book.

I loved Vadim and Nadia's love story. I felt so bad for all the things Nadia had to go through while she and Vadim were apart. I liked how strong she became and didn't shy away from getting the help she needed.
