Gabriel Hill has always been too charming for his own good. Women. Money. Information. Sex got him everything he ever wanted, until it almost killed him.
A price he was willing to pay, before he met Elise. Before he fell for her.
Now revenge isn't enough for him. He wants it all. The most beautiful woman. The most dangerous game. And a happily ever after, if it's not too late to save them both.

The story repeats itself, after Gabriel jumped from a building on fire, as did Mason. He's recovering at Mason's house, as a family.
But Bettencourt needs to pay, and Elise will do anything to keep Gabriel and her sisters safe. Even if she has to kill her own father.
Now it's Gabriel turn to give up revenge, but Jameson doesn't… We have a sneak peek of Jameson's story, as well Jacob's. - Jameson's trilogy - Jacob's trilogy
Gabriel was so afraid his siblings won't understand and accept him, for what he had to do for the family survival, that he apart from them, but now he's finally itself, with Nate and Elise by his side, he's got a family. Mason finally gets what he always wanted, Gabriel by his side and a family business.
I really enjoyed this trilogy and I really liked this book. I posted in an update that I plan on buying all the other books connected to this one. I'm almost certain they will be formatted mostly the same, and I don't care. The atmosphere. The mood. This series just agreed with me.
This book is NOT a standalone and is the third book of Amelia Wilde’s “Power” trilogy which focuses on Gabriel Hill, the second oldest Hill brother. Mason is older and Jameson is younger.
Elise Bettencourt is Charlotte’s (Mason's wife) best friend. This series is not super dark, but it's definitely a complicated read that deals with rape and child abuse, to name a few big triggers.
You’re doing quite well. I know how it can burn. Don’t fight. That’s a good girl.” All her muscles clench. I don’t have to touch the insides of her thighs to know they’re dripping. “Now. You’re expecting three fingers, and that’s not what you’re going to get.” A shiver goes through her body along with a garbled question through the gag. “Not my cock.” More noises. “I didn’t know you wanted it so badly, sweetness. But no. You’ll have to wait. I want to hear every sound you make when I fuck your ass. You can take something else for me tonight.” I take my fingers out and pick up the plug and the bottle. I add a generous amount of lube directly to her hole. Her eyes get wide when she feels the plug nudge up against her. “It’s going to be a lot, sweetness. I won’t be surprised if you cry.” I push in the smallest part and watch her open around it. “I won’t stop if you cry, either.”
I FUCKING LOVED THIS BOOK! My fave in the trilogy! So. Many. Feels! I couldn't get enough Gabriel and Elise! One of my top reads of 2023, I adore Amelia's broken book boyfriends so much!
AND HOLYFUCKINGHELL she went there with Gabriel and Elise and I damn near came on the spot. SO DAMN HOT!!!
Gabriel Hill is back and his world is burning down around him. He must figure out how to get back on his feet (physically and mentally) to save not only his sweet baker but his family as well.
Elise is caught between the father she loathes and the man she loves. When her sister needs rescuing but Gabriel needs her as well they must rely on Jacob Chambers to be a Knight in Shining armor and save Catharine. (I can't wait for their story!)
I think my favorite part of this whole book is the parts where they all end taking refuge with the rest of the Hill family. And seeing the interaction with the brothers. Nate and Lydia as well. If they survive this then Elsie and Gabe have a ready made family.
Elise decides that she must do whatever it takes to stop not her father from hurting anyone she loves ever again. Elise must surrender to the dark side to do it. But will Gabriel be able to bring her back or stop her from setting fire to their future?
I wasn't ready for the end of their story. I can't say this was goodbye becuse I know that they will be back in other books with other people. And that a comforting thought. Their ending was perfect and I can't wait for Jameson story to unfold.
When I tell you that I shed tears while reading this it's the truth. This book put me through the emotional ringer. Maybe it was Mason's limp, Jameson's emotional pain, Gabe having to face his past, or Elise deciding that she had to save everyone. Point is the tears came. These Hill Brothers are so broken and so strong.
Amelia Wilde has done it again. 10/10 for this story! When I tell you if she writes it I will read it... I 1000% mean that. She is amazing and I have yet to find a book of hers that I wasn't head over heals in love with.
Fair Game is the perfect conclusion to Amelia Wilde’s latest trilogy!
My Review ⤵️
Amelia Wilde writes stories I like to read, they are always a little dark, sometimes twisted and always spicy. Gabriel and Elise’s story has all of those things, but this part of the story has more, this is an emotional roller coaster that you are not going to want to get off of. Both characters want the same things, but don’t know how to make it work, until they do and it does.
We finally get so happiness for the Hill family, and I can’t wait to see what Amelia has planned for Jameson in the next series. Don’t sleep on this trilogy.
The rollercoaster of Gabriel and Elise's story was one epic ride with lots of bumps and bruises along the way but there conclusion was wrapped up together perfectly

Review:
This is the book where Elise and Gabriel finally get their deserved HEA. It was way more emotional than I thought it would be. It was great to see Gabriel fight and win his demons. A lot of things happened in this book and I didn’t even feel the time pass because there was always something important happening. Action or emotion-wise.
I also loved how some of the secondary characters got their voice here and one that highly surprised me was Jacob. I didn’t like him one bit on book one. In book two I tolerated him and now I can’t wait for his book. Not to mention Jameson’s and I’m pretty sure Lydia and Nate will get one, as well.
This is definitely my favorite of the three books in this trilogy and it closed their story greatly.
*** I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ***
How do you handle a story that begins with non-stop action? Easy you buckle up, you dig in and you know you are going on the ride of your life as Gabriel Hill and Elise Bettencourt take on the Consortium and they have no intention of losing.
Author Amelia Wilde’s stories continue to get better…more action, more drama, more emotions and more good guys that think they are bad guys…hmmm ok they might be bad when alone with the women that have won their hearts.
From an almost life ending escape from a building on fire to father daughter show down readers can sit and watch as good and evil go at it…there are people that will win and there are people who still have to be taught a lesson.
This last book of Gabriel and Elise’s story has you crying, laughing and clapping your hands as this couple fights not just for each other, but for their siblings and for justice, it won’t come easy for Gabriel and Elise. Will they be the ones that pull that lynch pin that ends up making those who should have paid for their greed years ago finally be brought to justice?
I can’t say this enough, but with each story she writes, Author Amelia Wilde brings readers wonderful stories that break your heart then heals it. She gives readers characters that you want to stand side to side with while they fight their battles.
Fair Game gave me everything I look for in a story which means it’s getting all my stars!
I can’t wait to read Jameson’s story Flight Risk….
I love this final chapter for Gabe and Elise. Both of them are trying to protect each other from Elise’s father and they really prove their love for one another. We pick up right where we left off from the cliffhanger and the action is high for the first half of the book. I really love the romantic suspense elements that blend into this world. And then the connections to our other Hill and Bettencourt family members were just amazing. And of course the steamy scenes were on point as always. And I’m ready for Jameson!!
I can't get enough of the angst in this conclusion story to the three books. Gabriel and Elise have quite the epic story with all their hardships and truly so many emotions packed in all these pages. I was engrossed in this story and all the healing which happened in order to better themselves individually and as a couple
This author can write some steam. Even though I was alone, I kept glancing around me to make sure that no one could see what I was reading. The steam in this one might be the hottest that I have read from this author which says something because she has written some amazing stuff.
Fantastic end to an incredible trilogy. It was everything I wanted and more. I think Gabriel might have passed his brother. From the beginning to the very end, this author had me in her clutches. I cannot wait to see what comes next with Jameson. I love this family so much.
Highly recommend this and anything this author has written.
Fair Game is the third book in the trilogy by Amelia Wilde. It is the conclusion to Gabriel Hill and Elise Bettencourt’s love story and brings an end to their fight for justice against her father and The Consortium. It has been an emotional journey and at times heartbreaking but never have I been so pleased for a couple to get their HEA. What started out as a revenge plot has became a twisted game with her dad and a fight for survival. Can they finally bring the Consortium down and what will be the consequences of Gabriel’s actions.
The story starts where the horrendous cliff-hanger ended. We find Gabriel fighting for his life and struggling with all that is happening. He feels hopeless because he is usually the one who helps his family. Elise is trying to sort out her sister Lydia when her other sister Catherine needs help so they have to trust Jacob to go and rescue her.
Elise has convinced herself that she is evil like her dad and it is up to her to protect everyone from him. Gabriel tries to make her see she’s not like her dad because she cares for her sisters but she feels guilty for leaving them at home under his control. She is shocked at how evil her dad is and what he is willing to do to stop the Hill family. She realises it is up to her to stop her father and bring him down but can she take matters with her father into her own hands. Can she lose the bakery, her freedom, Gabriel or even her life.
Can Gabriel finally put to rest his past and what happened to him. For the first time since his parents died he can see a future with Elise after dedicating his life to vengeance. It is a heartbreaking conversation when Gabriel opens up to Mason and tells him what he did. I loved how he let his emotions out and faced all his demons.
They move Lydia into Gabriel’s house but how will she get on living with Nate. It was so sweet that she understood he did what he had to to survive and although they bicker it’s all friendly teasing and very funny. It was lovely seeing the Hill family all together and safe. The Saturday brunches finally being the family gathering of Mason’s dreams.
While I enjoyed seeing this couple get their HEA, I felt we were given a lot of POV’s from other characters, rather than the author concentrating on the couple. I know the events described affected Gabriel and Elise but after going through so much with them, I wanted more of their story. Epilogue is Jameson and his story is next - Flight Risk. Another tale of revenge and justice for their parents against the judge who took everything from them. Catherine and Jacob’s story will continue in Dearly Beloved and it would be great to get more of Lydia and Nate
This is book three in The Power Play series and it continues Elise and Gabriel’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Gabriel is in the burning building and every choice that he thinks of could cause him to die but he is determined to finish his revenge regardless of the circumstances so jumping out of the window it is and he hopes that he survives. Elise is on her way with her sister Lydia so that they can hopefully rescue there other sister Catherine who is being held captive by there evil father but then she gets the news that she wasn’t expecting and that is about the fire and Gabriel so now they are going to the hospital not knowing what condition Gabriel is in or if he will live. When they find out that her father who is part of the consortium started the fire it ends up starting a chain reaction as Elise will not let her father get away with what he has done anymore so she decides to change tactics to fulfill what she needs to do to keep and protect all the people that she loves safe even if she ends up losing everything herself. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that had me in tears so many times but also on the edge of my seat while holding my breath and even though all the characters have there own hang ups and are broken in there own way. when these people are together they are a group of amazing people with many surprises but there love for each other is so strong and they step up to the plate to be there to support, care, protect and are there for each other regardless of the situation or outcome. I was so sorry to get to the end of Elise and Gabriel’s story but I am really excited for the next book as I no that it will be just as amazing as all of Amelia Wilde other books because she knows how to keep her readers attention and I definitely recommend you read this series and other books by this author and you will not be disappointed.
💭 “Stay here with me. Not for your safety, or for your sister’s safety. Stay because I want you to. Stay because I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure you’re happy. And well-fucked.”
Review ➡️ wow, just wow… I was not ready for all the emotions the last book in the Power trilogy brought me. Things pick up right where they were left off with Upper Hand and Gabriel was falling and his world was literally burning. I mean, I obviously knew he’d be alive, just didn’t know the extend of the damage. One thing that I adored was how the WHOLE families (his and Elise’s sisters) rallied behind him.
Not only that, they were all ready to fight to take down Elise’s awful dad and the consortium. I can’t deny the growth of the characters to arrive in this book, it was truly amazing and Elise took the reins of her life. Filled with guilty from the past, she was ready to sacrifice everything for the ones she loves, especially Gabriel. Apart they are good, but together, they were fierce, strong and pure warriors.
Above all, I can’t forget to mention all the steamy. Gabriel was injured but his thing was definitely not! I couldn’t blink and something great happened, it was really thrilling. I also loved the family Elise and him created, it was different and yet changed the pace of the story too.
I really hope Amelie writes Elise’s sister stories, I wish wouldn’t be trilogies, but I guess I’m reaching too much. Hehe. I also hoped this trilogy had a bigger epilogue, into their futures, but it certainly didn’t change my feelings toward this trilogy. It was amazing, one of my favorite work from this author.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Gabriel Hill has always been too charming for his own good. Women. Money. Information. Sex go him everything he ever wanted until it almost killed him. A price he was willing to pay, before he met Elise. Before he fell for her. Now revenge isn't enough for him. He wants it all. The most beautiful woman. The most dangerous game. And a happily ever after, if it's not too late to save them both.
This is the conclusion of Gabriel and Elise story. I have loved spending all this time with these characters The very world that Gabriel has built is burning down all around him. Now he has to figure out how to get back on his game first by physically and mentally getting it together. He has a family and the sweetest little women in the world that he has to save. Elise is however caught between the father that she hates and the man that she loves more than anything. Now though her sister needs to be rescued and she needs to rely on Jacob Chambers to come to the rescue to save Catherine. There is so much that goes on in this book that I can't tell you about or you will not be very happy with me and I would never want to spoil this book. I can tell you that it was amazing. That Elise and Gabriel are absolutely amazing together and I loved them more than I already did. This book is the best in the series. You are not going to be able to lay it down and while I loved it I was sad to see this series come to an end.
How do you not give up even when everything is burning to the ground.
Gabriel Hill is so beautifully broken, he’s lost so much in his youth, it’s a miracle he’s survived in every sense of the word, but these Hill brother’s will fight to the very end to get the justice there parents deserved.
Gabriel was ready to throw his life, his company and everything he has to get into the Consortium and he almost did.
But there was one person that Gabriel Hill would die for and that is Elise. He loves her just as hard as he hated the Consortium and that love went so deep that it scared him to show the good and the parts he deemed ugly to the woman that loves him just as fiercely, the woman that plotted murder to give he the revenge he so much deserved because she too thought she was a monster.
A monster of her father’s making,
Elise is anything but a monster, a genius child and an equally genius woman that didn’t expand her business because of fear of too much wealth and power and thinking she’s undeserving of Gabriel.
But they had it all wrong Gabriel and Elise are two peas in a pod, made specifically for each other, their light as well as their darkness, fighting through the fear of loving and then losing the other made for one roller coaster ride of a journey.
Their romance didn’t start with hearts and flowers but it sure ended in them.
10/10
Amelia Wilde will have you laughing and sobbing and give you all the feels in a single book.
Good luck and enjoy the ride. I received an arc copy for an honest and voluntary review.
It took along time to read this book! Back to the consortium where it all began, started off wherever the last book ended. Gabriel is in the office of Bettencourt International. The fire has started and he can't get out, so he jumps out of the window. Falling and falling. He is seen by his brother called for help. Took him to the hospital, he was still alive, just barely. This story was intense and it was absolutely incredible to read. So much drama between the brothers. Gabriel is with Elise. She's in love with him. Her sister's are being abused by her monster of a father, caning his daughters with a cane. Finally getting them away from him. The Federal government goes after him after they make statements about his company. He gets away with everything and tries to fly away to a place where he has his millions. On the plane with Elise was ready to end his miserable life. But he has a heart attack instead. The chemistry between the brothers and the sisters are off the charts in this story. At least I can tell you that this story, some parts of it has ended, but it sill be continued again by another brother going after a judge who was definitely involved with the family not getting their insurance money when their parents were killed. I enjoyed reading this series. Enjoy!!
I loved this emotional conclusion to Gabriel and Elise’s love story. Fair Game picks up right at Upper Hand’s gutting cliffhanger. It can’t be read as a standalone. The whole trilogy was heart wrenching and consuming. I couldn’t put it down.
This book was all about healing and responsibility. Elise’s father put everyone through it. He was a monster. I wanted to see him drown in a big batch of Elise’s delicious buttercream icing. Elise and Gabriel were both so broken because of his actions.
I loved watching Gabriel learn that there were more important things than vengeance and that he was worthy of giving and receiving love. Elise was just as broken as Gabriel and she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.
One of the things that I love most about this author is the way that she writes about families. Some of my favorite moments in this book were between Gabriel and his brother Mason (from the Wealth trilogy). There was a moment in the park that had me deep in my feelings.
Usually, her work has focused on brothers, but this book sets up more stories for the Bettencourt sisters. I am so excited to read about Catherine and Jacob and hopefully Lydia and Nate as well.
With all of the books I have read I was glad to get back to Elise and Gabriel as it seems like forever since we were left with the cliffy in the last book. I mean it may not have been that long but when you are waiting to find out what happens it may seem like in the Titanic, it has been 84 years, LOL
This picks up right where we were left hanging and not sure if Gabriel survived. That is an emotional rollercoaster in its own right. We finally also find out more of her years long involvement with the consortium that she was unaware of. I mean she was basically training her whole life, when The Hill family were fighting to save themselves after everything was taken from them due to that same group.
With all of the heartache there is also a lot of healing that these 2 go through. They are both flawed and have a somewhat crappy past, but I loved how Gabriel was able to breakthrough to Elise and show her what kind of a person she is and what everyone else sees in her. They both were a product of the situation they were dealt, and both came out with a few scars but also came out with a whole new family.
We also get more of Lydia, Catherine, Jacob and Nate and I can't wait for their stories. Because there is so much left to explore with them and I can't wait for it.
The conclusion to Gabriel and Elise’s twisted story. It’s very emotional and quite a few times I shed some tears. Elise and Gabriel must face some ugly truths. Come to terms with all the pain and sorrow they faced because of others greed. And try and find redemption, healing and peace. I was so heartbroken for Gabriel’s pain and anguish. The demons that haunt him all come to light and its soul shattering. But slowly all that pain starts to turn into something more intense. All that he’s sacrificed. All that he’s given up. All his nightmares. Coming face to face with death. Everything will start to have a different perception for him. Elise wasn’t as strong here as in the past books. Taking responsibility constantly for something she didn’t do. Yes she had plans to do the unthinkable but never did. But regardless she keeps going on about being evil. I wish she was as strong willed and unstoppable as I’ve known her. I loved how the Hill family rallied around Gabriel. Their love unconditionally and limitless. And my heart and soul are overjoyed that Gabriel has found his peace. That epilogue is absolutely intriguing and a perfect setup for Jameson’s book, which I’m so excited about!
Fair Game is a stunning conclusion to the power trilogy by Amelia Wilde. We pick up where we left off - a swan dive and a mad dash to save a sister. A murder plot is foiled while another is hatched. Can any of this lead to a happily ever after? Maybe if you’re Gabriel Hill.
What I love about this book is the found family aspect. People who either lost their parents or had horrible parents are coming together to become parental figures. It’s so sweet. The characters come alive in this book - Gabriel and Elise are living with high-stakes emotions, but survive their traumas so they can be together. The last part of this book, a family uniting, is so beautiful and emotional - it makes a perfect ending. I love that Gabriel is able to break through the walls he’s built around himself so that he can love Elise and once again be part of his family. There’s a lovely scene near the end between Gabriel and Mason that I reread a couple of times because it’s so perfect. Now I’m looking forward to the next books that will feature brother Jameson!
Fair Game is the third book in a trilogy, so you’ll definitely want to read Power Play and Upper Hand first - you’ll be so glad you did. Let me know when you’ve read these books - I’d love to discuss!
I think Jameson described Elise and Gabe the best, "The two of you are sweet, in a dark, edgy, maybe-violent way. You'll do the darkest possible sh** for the people you love." Elise grew up with a manipulative father who started playing dark mind game scenarios with her at a very young age, grooming her to take over the family business and her place in the Consortium. He was also responsible for the death of Gabe's parents, which left all 4 of the Hill children to fend for themselves at a very young age. Gabe did things in order to make sure all of them survived, and is now in a position to avenge his parents' deaths. He wasn't supposed to fall in love with Elise while he tried to destroy her father and the Consortium. She wasn't supposed to fall for him while she tried to figure out a way to stop her father and protect her younger sisters. The situation escalates when Gabriel's life is threatened. Two-thirds of this book covers the Consortium plot, and the remaining third covers the emotional aftermath. Both Elise and Gabe must find a way to put their haunted pasts behind them if there is to be a future together for them. I loved reading their journey as they each strove to achieve healing within their families and together as a couple. Awesome final book for Gabe and Elise!
The final book in the story of Elise Bettencourt and Gabriel Hill. This book continues the twists and turns surrounding Gabriel’s believe that he must be in the Consortium to met out justice to those that murdered his parents. Elise is of a similar belief. She’s convinced that the methods her father used on her as a child make her culpable in Gabriel’s parents murders. She decides she too will join the Consortium and met out justice to her father who appears to be the head of the snake and she will attempt to take her sisters from her parents and get them away from danger.
When her father holds her sister Catherine captive, she decides it’s time to take matters into her own hands. What she doesn’t know is that Catherine is just a pawn to get her father closer to his end game which includes both her and Gabriel. Again, I’m not going into too much detail because the reader should experience the nuances and power plays in reading the story. It is overall a very good three book series that I enjoyed. Amelia Wilde is becoming one of my fav authors.
Gabriel Hill is back and the world is burning and falling around him, literally. When he comes back to Earth, everything is unsteady for him. We know he would do whatever he needed to keep Elise safe and Fair Game is no different. In some ways history repeats itself.
Elise realizes that her father used her intelligence for his own gain and hurt people, now she doesn't know if she is responsible, she feels like she is. She doesn't feel like she is good enough for Gabriel, but he shows her over and over again that she is everything to him. She will do what she needs to do to keep her family and his safe, even if that means never seeing them again.
The conclusion to this trilogy is heart wrenching, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and all consuming. The trilogy books must be read in order and cannot be read as a standalone. Gabriel, Mason, and Jameson are brothers who have had to rely on each other since they were kids and did what was necessary to survive. I was satisfied with the ending of the trilogy and was glad that Elise and Gabriel's story ended the way it did.
Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review
I did like this, but I'll be honest and say it didn't blow me away. I think that's because I'm getting a bit tired of books being made into trilogies when they didn't need to be, which is why I'd only rate this 3.6*.
However, it was satisfying to see Gabriel and Elise get their happy ending alongside their family. There were definitely some really cute moments and Amelia always does a good job at going into the minute details when someone is ill/injured/fearful, describing all the little emotions, thoughts and movements which makes it that much more believable.
Looking forward to getting all the other books that are going to be about the side characters in this. I think they're all going to have good stories and will eventually bring all the issues surrounding the consortium to an end.
*ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
*TW: Please heed any trigger warnings attached to this book.
*FG is book 3 in the Power trilogy. It must be read in the correct reading order.
Elise and Gabe finally got their happy ending. Both have been through so much on their journey to be happy. So many obstacles and secrets have stood in their way. Gabe’s character growth alone was beautiful. I loved his growth and how he finally opened up to not only Elise, but his family as well. I also loved the little family him and Elise were building with Nate and Lydia. That’s definitely going to be an interesting household. While I wish things with Elise’s father had been a little more exciting, I really enjoyed this read, and enjoyed seeing Elise and Gabe get their happy ending. With the little teasers we got in this book, I’m beyond ready for Catherine and Jacob’s story.
In this third installment in the Power trilogy, Gabriel and Elise's story is wrapped up and they get their HEA. Fair Game picks up right where Upper Hand left off, which was in the midst of a huge cliffhanger. There is a lot of angst that occurs in the first half of Fair Game as they are seeking to get free and neutralize Elise's father, and there is a lot of emotional scenes when they finally have the time after to deal with the baggage they never spent time really dealing with before. I enjoyed that we got to see a lot of Mason on page, and more time with Elise's sisters - I wouldn't mind each of them having their own book at some point. I do think this installment would have worked a lot better if it had been rolled right into part of the second book - maybe if this had been a duet instead of a trilogy. I didn't do a reread just before starting this, and I think the emotional scenes and angst would have worked better without a break. I can't wait though to read Jameson's story!
