My name is Storm Redfield: Navy Commander, hanging on for dear life.
I’m starting to think that the 23rd Century has it in for me. I guess being part of a team led by the most ferocious warrior in the galaxy kinda guarantees an exciting future… As in, deadly, and I’m not just talking experimental sex with Stella.
On the verge of galactic war, with my own planet Earth at risk, at least I’m in the right place: front center and in the thick of it. I died once and it did not kill me... So now, backed by a crew of the toughest soldiers, I’m ready for the fight of my life. Whatever it takes, no matter the cost: let’s go!

4 stars. Wasn’t intending to continue on with this series as I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first two books. However, I wanted some quick sci-fi and this delivered and I ended up really enjoying. It’s easily the best book in the series for me. Action packed from beginning to end and I found Red to be really awesome here. I still don’t like the romance as I still don’t like Stella. Just something about her character that does absolutely nothing for me but there wasn’t too much of it here. This was a great installment to the series and the ending left me kind of excited for book four. What a pleasant surprise this was.
I hope this is going to be a very long series. It would be a shame not to
Another action-packed, funny and thrilling chapter on Red's amazing new life. It was a holding your breath adventure, not a dull moment. On many occasions I had my stomach clenching thinking the worst happened, but in the end nothing was as bad as bad as Sanchez's bit last book. That one is going to be hard to beat.
Anyway, a lot of stuff happened, questions were sort of answered but many are still up in the air and even more were added. The crew is still as bad-*ss as before, if not more. New wholesome characters were also introduced. I hope we'll get to see them more often with the next releases (yes, I'm using plural in wishful thinking hihihi).
And omw I sooo love Stella! She's so arrogantly good that's impossible not to love her. Apart from the war, you know the whole action bit, Stella and Red bickering is the best shit ever. Pure gold. And I cannot imagine how it's going to be Red meeting que Queen, but I know it's going to be priceless.
Outstanding book in every way. I’ve not read science fiction in a long time, new that is, and I only read Heinlein and Asimov then, until they died, but I still reread their work. Now, I finally have someone worth reading again. I will have to go back and find the first two in this series. This is extremely well written, it has the visionary outlook of both Heinlein and Asimov of a future where different species form an alliance based on both trust and need. It’s incredibly inventive and the story itself impossible to put down. Natalie is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors regardless the genre she writes in. Highly recommend this to anyone.
This is a spectacular series of adventures as far as this genre is concerned. There is plenty of action and the romance is a nice aside that does not detract from the main story it feels like you are on a rollercoaster throughout. Basically Storm Redfield is a human soldier who wakes up several hundred years in the future. The world building is great the characters are interesting even the politics is not half bad. I definitely recommend the series and I think you should start at the beginning..
This was definitely the most action packed and emotionally inpactful of the series. As with all the books there are things i wish the author would expand on a bit more, but also as with all the books im always distracted my next wild adventure, or daring act of heroism, or snarky flirting. Greatly enjoyed this series so far and can't wait for the next book!
I love Red and Stella. Starting out it was a bit disappointing because it didn't feel like they were growing closer but by the end there was a definite big shift in Stella's part and I'm all for it
Red and Stella are back with a vengeance to save the Alliance. Seeking and destroying the Howlers is the mission. Lots of action and the unparalleled Red/Stella relationship. Loved this book and can’t wait for the next!
I absolutely love this series. I can’t wait for more with Stella and Red. The whole crew is amazing but my favorite thing to witness is the interaction between Red and Stella. Can’t wait for more.
I have enjoyed this action pack adventure of Red a lady that out of her time she kick ass warrior that was put in deep sleep for a century woke to new world.
