After reading the first and the third book in this series, I wanted to get two the second book, even though it was a bit out of order. Sam and Maggie. Sam is Miles best friend and Maggie is his little sister. I had a feeling I would love this book, I mean brother’s best friend and all. There were definitely some enjoyable parts and I loved Sam, but Maggie drove me a bit crazy. It took her way to long to see what was in front of her and get over the idea of her ex. Still, I’m glad I picked this up and I’ll for sure be getting to Dean’s book soon!

She was determined to become different for all the wrong reasons and with these two people interacting... both ended up changing insightfully for the better.

2 Very BASIC stars

Warning this review will be a rant.

Look, I liked the first book in the series and so I was REALLY excited to start the audio of Next in Line.

BUT Even the awesome narrators of Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton couldn’t save this book for me

There are a few things I liked about this book.

The cover is hot.
There are steamy scenes in the book.
I love the narrators.
Who doesn’t like ice fishing?

… And on to the things that didn’t work for me.

The book started out cute and great. Who doesn’t like an ice fishing book. After that, it went downhill for me.

Two things were the downfall for the book for me, the Heroine was utterly ridiculous, stupid and annoying AF and the storyline was beyond … well like the Heroine, ridiculous, stupid and annoying AF

Maggie, where do I even begin? Her ex-boyfriend breaks up with her because she is basic. What does she do? She does adventurous things and sends her ex photos of herself doing that.

WHAT?! Really?

That’s like someone saying that I’m so boring because I read all day. Okay, I’ll stop everything I do and go ice climbing? It just sounds stupid.

Oh it gets better. She uses Sam to become adventurous and who cares they start to have a fuck buddy relationship. And throughout the ENTIRE book, Maggie tells everyone, including her best friend, Sam and her brother what an awesome person her ex is. Even though, she can’t really justify why. Is this realistic?

Let me get this straight. I’m reading a book about the Heroine, trying to win her ex back while she using the Hero? Oh yeah, sign me up for this! – NOT

BUT PEOPLE, it gets even worse. The Hero is her brother’s best friend! How much shit can you throw into the storyline? I mean, just throw in a “secret” plot because those aren’t annoying at all.

Gah. I need to calm myself. On top of that the whole idea of romance book writing was just too much. How many times can you reference romance book writing?

I really had high hopes for this book but at the end of the day I wasn’t too keen on the storyline. I just couldn’t get into it. Almost everything about this book annoyed me and it was 8 hours of torture listening (except with wonderful narrators).

I won’t give up on the author because I did like the first book. BUT I might have to start reading the books instead of listening to them because if it sucks, I can just skim through it at least.

The guy has zero sexual chemistry. He’s like an amoeba or something. Aren’t those the single cell animals that just have sex with themselves?

I keep thinking about what Maggie would be rambling about if she were out here. She’d probably ask about when fish sleep, and where they sleep, and if they sleep with their families, or if they’re just swimming along and all of a sudden blackout only to wake up the next day and discover they’ve lost their entire family.

“I was getting bait for a guy in here the other day, and he said I looked like a great master baiter. I said, I’ve only been working here a couple of months, and I didn’t even know being a master baiter was a thing.”… Marv’s face twists up in confusion. “I’ve heard of Promaster fishermen. But not master baiters. Surely, I’m a master baiter. I’ve been doing it my whole life.”… “You’re clearly a great master baiter,” Maggie replies with wide eyes. “But I wonder how much practice it’ll take for me to become one?”

My Review:

I quickly fell into the vortex of this smartly written and brightly amusing tale and was instantly besotted with the quirky and endearing characters. I smirked and giggle-snorted my way through this delightfully humorous story. I savored each and every perfectly chosen and magically arranged word, although they were most often this side of naughty with frequent f-bombs since it is surely a well-known fact that the highly talented scribbler known as Amy Daws brings the heat of a Scottish Bonnet pepper and clearly excels at cleverly bawdy humor. I want all her lovely words and had a difficult time paring my favorite quotes down to the massive list I included in this review due to the fact that I had highlighted several reams worth of her witty levity. Wait With Me and Next In Line were two of my favorite reads of the year, so it seems quite fitting that I close out 2018 with this rave review.

This had such great potential and sadly it felt short because we spent the entire book dealing with OM drama.

Maggie gets dumped by her bf of a few months on Christmas day because he calls her basic and he needs more in his life before he starts his career at the NFL. Maggie takes this as a wakeup call to get herself more into outside activities and live all so she can get him back because she is set on marrying him and having children.

Enter Sam, they have a meet cute and neither of them know that are connected by Miles (book 1 MMC), Maggie is his younger sister while Sam is his best friend.

Sam was great, he was who I was afraid of going into this book since he was a commitment-phobe and a player, but it was Maggie that pissed me off to no end with her vision of her life and this fantasy she had built with someone who DUMPED HER and her desperation to have him back was just not sitting right with me.

We never get any glimpse of real love with her ex or real reason to root for this relationship.

On the other hand, we have Sam who is doing what he can to help her with her adventure path and while he wants her and is attracted to her he knows where her mind is focused but they both can't help with the sexual tension and give in.

While they are both not interested in anything more than sex, we still see Sam fall for her and Maggie start the slowly doubt her plans for Sterling (yeah that’s her exes name) but she is not stopping at her attempts to get him and it gets on your nerves.

Eventually she gets her head out of her ass and realizes it's Sam she wants and fell in love with.

Maggie and Miles are brother and sister for sure as ex drama was too present for the siblings.

Also, Miles/Kate are still not my fav in this book. Idk why they bug me, but they just do.

This book makes me smile like a freaking cheeseball! From the fishing puns to the best friend's little sister trope, to the romantic grand gesture at the end...I have never had a book appear like a movie in my head as much as I have with Next In Line! I am so excited for you all to read Maggie & Sam's love story and I hope you fall for these hilarious characters hook, line, and sinker!

This is the second book I read in this series. So far, I am not impress with it.

The story/ plot is standard. The banter is funny and alive. And that's it. What I do not like is the dramatic queen of Maggie. God! She is a very selfish heroine. She has this attitude of me, me and me. And also the forbidden relationship with her brother's best friend is... lame.

The story is also dragging. I have to admit I am bit bored during the middle.

Overall, I still can enjoy this book OK. I wish Miss Daws can create more likeable heroine.

After Amy released Wait with Me, I was hoping to see the other characters in the book get their own stories, and I was excited when it was announced this would become a series.

We've met Sam before, as he works with Miles at Tire Depot, and we have had a brief introduction to Maggie as well, as Miles speaks to her in the first book. I love a good best friends brother/sister book and so when I realised this was Miles little sister and his best friend, I was hell keen to get my hands on this.

At times Maggie annoyed the hell out of me. The main reason for this was because she was too busy worrying about her douchebag of an ex, when she has all the gloriousness of Sam right in front of her. She is a younger character though, so it does fit well that way. I did love the way she was with Sam though, and how she was willing to step out of her comfort zone and try new things, even if it was for the wrong reasons.

Sam is just the best. I loveddddddd Sam so much. Can I have him please Amy? I need my own ginger bearded man like him. Hot diggity damn! I loved how he cares so much about his family and friends, and he's always there for everyone else. Whilst I understand why he had his issues holding back with commitment, its so blind that Sam is the kind of man who would be a wonderful partner, and I was waiting for him to wake up to that.

All the adventures that he and Maggie go on together are so fun and there are some sexy, swoony, funny moments which keep the story alive. I don't like how they lied/didn't tell Miles what was going on, especially once Kate worked things out. We all know how the lying went down in book 1. I actually expected more conflict from Miles in the end but it was glossed over a little easier than I was expecting.

All in all though, this was a fun and easy to read book with the fab characters we have learnt to love in Boulder. I can't wait to see what comes next in this series. Lynsey and Dean getting their own books I hope!

PS. I have taken to my friends nickname for this book - Bait with Me. hhehehe.

Man, did Maggie crack me up. She was definitely an "unhinged romantic"! I loved Sam! This just misses 5 stars from me for 2 reasons. Miles seemed to be a different person in this book. I don't remember him being so goofy. And Maggie's insistence on Sterling being her "true love", yet having no issues with fooling around with Sam bothered me. No, it was not cheating. But if Sterling was the man she was supposed to be with, why was it so easy for her to be with Sam?? She should have realized sooner that she was holding onto something not real with Sterling.

An unexpected meeting in a bait shop turns into a whirlwind romance. Next in Line was witty, sassy, funny, and sexy! Add in forbidden and age-gap to the mix and things were bound to get scandalous 🙊

Sam! I was drawn and completely intrigued by the bearded ginger since meeting him in Wait With Me and he did not disappoint. He's 31 and will be taking over his uncle Terry's tire shop soon. You could say he's a little bit jaded when it comes to love and relationships, so you can only imagine how completely taken back he is by Maggie this 22 year-old spitfire.

Maggie is a college graduate seeking adventure and purpose in her life. She went through a bad break up that's made her doubt herself and how amazing she could be. I did find myself annoyed with her at times and wanted to shake some sense into her.

Sam and Maggie embark on many adventures together and soon the instant chemistry turns into so much more! It was fun watching them interact and seeing how Maggie would look at the world through Sam's eyes. One thing I did not agree with was how they handled the situation with Miles finding out. Just tell the truth people!!

Next in Line was a great romcom filled with laughs and sweet moments! Amy Daws proves once again how badass she is and I'm excited for the next book!

I’ve wanted to read Next in Line as soon as I knew it was Sam’s story! I’ve enjoyed him in Wait for me so it was obvious I needed to know more.

However I has such a hard time connecting with Maggie! I found her to be so immature, too innocent but you know what? It’s also why I ended the book loving her because of her character’s growth, because Maggie might not be the usual self-assured you found in books these days but she has a sparkling personality you get attached to. She is funny even ( and especially) when she doesn’t know it. She is a young woman still trying to figure out who she really is. She thinks her future is all set but a ginger man will put some doubts in all her fairytale thoughts.

Sam is the nearly new owner of his uncle’s tire shop. You’d think all he needs is a woman to share his life but it’s not how Sam sees his future. So when some 22 years old woman comes crashing his favorite past-time, he never expect it to shake up his entire life.

Amy Daws is my unicorn author! It’s official after reading this book, she can write anything she wants and put a smile on my face. For readers of the previous book in the series, you’ll be happy to see more of Kate and Miles. There take a big part in here because Miles is Maggie's brother!
Yep you can add forbidden romance to the mix of this cute love story.

Next in Line is as funny as the first book in the series was. The banter between Sam and Maggie is crazy good and they are many scenes directly out from a fairytale! I strongly recommend it if you need some dreams to come true.

OMG! Who would ever believe that a romance could begin in a smelly old bait shop and end up being one of the best fun-to-read rom-coms that has found its way into my Kindle in a very long time. I never particularly gave much thought to ice fishing before, but one hot ginger-headed guy with a heart of gold certainly proved it can be done. An age difference of 9 years between this couple with the added best friend's little sister trope really ramped up the game and add in the off-the-chart bantering between the two and I was laughing throughout this gem.


My only real problem with this story was the heroine -- a bit immature and unrealistic in her goal to happy ever after. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she was young and a bit spoiled, too.


All in all, a delightful and fun reading experience from a new-to-me author.

First: I hate Maggie. Maggie is the worst. She sucks massive donkey balls.

Second: Sam is great. I like Sam a lot. Sam deserved way better than Maggie.

Third: The plot sucked.

Maggie is what my friends call a "Madison". What is a Madison, you ask? Talking about past lives, going on a "self discovery road trip", saying shit like "I'm trying to access this part of my brain that's been lost to technology ", giving off manic pixie dream girl vibes left and right, showing up to potentially dangerous shit like ice-fishing with zero equipment or prep-work and thinking she'll be able to do it just fine, being just a crazy bitch in general. All of these things and more make Maggie a Madison. And she was annoying as shit. When a main character in a book is going "oh I'm so pathetic" I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO AGREE WITH HER. I'm supposed to go "Oh honey it isn't that bad, it will be ok. You've just hit a rough spot." But with Maggie...geesus. She's so damn pathetic for trying to get her ex, whom she'd dated for a handful of months, back after he broke up with her on Christmas morning. Maggie was fucking nuts. She was a total loon, and she was dumb as shit.

The only real complaint I have about Sam was his whole thing about Maggie "not being like other girls" which is just...so many levels or dumb. What kind of women was Sam hanging out with? Ones that spend $500 on designer shoes, that bitch about the cold and won't touch a fish? Was the implication that his sisters were like that because I didn't get the impression. Sam needed to find better women to hang out with I guess. Because those kind of women exist. And they aren't even a tiny minority. Maggie isn't special. She was dumb as shit, though. And then she was suddenly "just like other girls" again when he found out her ex was a football player? And then, Sam didn't want to date seriously because....he didn't want another woman depending on him??? For all Sam's life was full of strong women that he cared for deeply, Sam had some...strange opinions about women. Ones I didn't appreciate.

Because the plot was started in the first place because of Maggie's stupidity, it sucked. Maggie's decision to try to get her asshole ex back was dumb. Her whole plot to prove she was "adventurous" was dumb. Sam said it early on, you shouldn't have to change yourself for someone to like you. And her ex was a piece of work. He broke up with her on Christmas, choked her on his dick until she vomited and the experience was so bad she was afraid to go down on a guy again, the first thing he does when he calls her to get her back is try phone sex. I mean, I get we aren't supposed to like him. But when he is this bad, I don't get why she'd want to get him back at all.

And then - AND THEN - she can't tell anyone what was happening because then they would think badly about her ex and when she got him back they would hate them. It's like she knows he sucks, but can't make the next logical leap to "why would I want back a guy who sucks so much?". And then she was having her brother's girlfriend and best friend lie to him to help her. And then she turned on her brother's girlfriend when she tried to make Maggie see how dumb she was being. The last scene with everyone at the bar she went full manic. She was freaking out holy shit. Lying about liking wine and ordering a beer, acting like a crazy person. Just...what the fuck.

So yeah, the plot sucked, and Maggie sucked. The only reason this isn't rated lower is Sam.

It has been a while since I read the first book in this series "Wait With Me" which was an introduction to Amy Daws writing for me and also a total delight to read.....so I had equally high expectations for this follow up storyline about Mile's sister Maggie and his best friend/boss Sam....but for some reason even though I liked many parts of it...I felt it lacked in consistency ...infact there were times were I zoned out more than a little.
I really did think that Sam was a sweet guy and Maggie was adorable if a little crazy at times... but the storyline mostly fell flat for me.... I think it was Maggie's persistent obsession with the idea of getting her ex back that really made this just a 3 star read for me as it became irritating after a while. It had a really strong finish though and I did like the writing.

This was a fun listen, totally engaging with a couple who weren’t perfect by any means but I felt invested quite quickly. There were many laugh out loud moments, with dialogue that lightened my day.

This is a tale of age difference, small town ruggedness, beards, ice-fishing and evolution. The heroine, Maggie was slightly annoying and superficial; she seemed young and a little spoilt. Sam, her brother’s best friend, was mature in age and life experience, he was also a stand-up guy but a bit of a commitment-phobe. They did make for fun listening and it was definitely a case of opposites argue or maybe attract.

Maggie never really won my heart but Sam certainly did. The chemistry between these two was sparking (there’s a pun in there if you read this). The storyline itself was adventure-driven, secretive and entertaining.

I liked the narration, Teddy Hamilton was all ease to listen to. Erin Mallon was sometimes as enjoyable and sometimes a little whiney. Overall, this dual narration worked.

5 I’m hooked CROWNS

There is nothing Amy Daws cannot do. Make me fall in love with a tire shop romance? Done. Make me swoon over ice-fishing romance? You bet. Each installment is hilariously charming and utterly swoon worthy.

Sam and Maggie are just perfect. Their friendship and chemistry and banter is just the icing on the cake. I love their conversations, and I love the accidental forbidden relationship, and I love that their love of fishing runs the whole way through the relationship. There isn’t anything about these two that I didn’t adore.

Amy Daws’s romcoms are just all our fun. They are sexy. They make me laugh out loud. They are unique and refreshing. With each book, she just solidifies why she has achieved one-click status.

***the audiobook is also LIVE, and it is amazing! Love the narrators. They really brought the story alive.

Gah!

Every since I met the sexy ginger ninja in Wait With Me, I have been impatiently waiting for Next In Line (or as I have nicknamed it, Bait With Me) and Sam's story.

I was curious as to who would be the lucky lady that got to take down Sam. And what a surprise Maggie turned out to be.

I can't lie, so many times I wanted to slap Maggie with a wet fish.

She has the sexy Sam in front of her, but she she was all about her douchey ex who dumped her. Gah. I was like dude, if you don't want Sam, throw him my way! But this could just be me.

I did adore her sassy mouth though - and it seems Sam does too, in many ways ;)

Also, she was telling fibs to Miles, and we all know how Miles feels about lies. I wanted him to go off a whole lot more for that alone.

I adored Sam and Maggie's little adventures, especially their big adventure of falling for each other.

Kate is such a little trouble maker (in fun ways, not bad ways). It was great seeing her back in the Tire Depot.

Sam is just everything. Loves his family, his friends, his job. Kinda the full package right there in one man. I think I need to go put some holes in my tyres and find my own Sam.

I know I have just finished this book, however I am tapping my foot, already waiting for more.

I was really not having a good time, but I couldn't stop listening to this one so it was maybe still going to get 2☆. Then the author went and dropped a "I've never committed to anyone because I'm scared I might be bipolar like my dad." And I just about lost it.

The stereotypes around mental illness, especially bipolar disorder, are already suffocating. If you want to write a tortured hero with daddy issues, you can do that without adding to those stereotypes and shaming an entire group of people with mental illness.

As someone with bipolar disorder, this representation made me want to scream. My disorder means that I need a little more support from my partner, but it does not mean I am a bad partner / that I am going to be a bad parent, etc and this kind of representation is harmful and hurtful.

On top of that, this novel was full of "not like other girls" bullshit. At one point, this man actually said he was shocked to have found a woman who is both beautiful AND fun. I forgot that we can usually only be one or the other. He also mentioned that most women wouldn't want to touch a fish, most women prefer to spend money on designer shoes, and he actually said that she "isn't like other chicks."

Anyway don't read this one.

Actually, you know what, I'm not done.

The entire plot of this book is incredibly misogynistic. Maggie is literally on a quest to prove she isn't basic, aka she's "not like other girls." And how does she prove it? By showing how outdoorsy and totally not bookish she is. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being outdoorsy or being bookish or being both or being neither.

I feel like it cannot be overstated how little women actually care about being "basic" in 2022. I do not have a rats ass if you think that my pajama and chai and dog snuggle and romance novel addiction is "basic" because it makes me happy and that's all that really matters.

0/10. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

I absolutely loved the first book, Wait With Me.
This book is about Miles' friend Sam. Sam is the manager of Tire Depot & nephew of the owner.
The heroine is Miles' sister Maggie. Maggie comes to town to visit her brother. She secretly arrives early to get her story straight about her being dumped by her meh football player boyfriend. He had the nerve to call her basic. Maggie is really bubbly and friendly. I think that he may have meant that she isn't athletic. Which she certainly isn't.
Maggie and Sam have a meet cute near the bait and tackle shop. Sam is there for bait to go ice fishing.
Maggie wants to prove her ex wrong so she aims to try all sorts of sports to show him. Maggie starts with ice fishing. Sam and Maggie have some sparks right off. Just when Sam is a no relationship guy so he's fine with a fling. Maggie is on the same page. She even reminds Sam that she's trying to get her ex back. What a blow to the ego, eh Sam? Oh yeah, no relationships so that shouldn't matter, right?
Miles doesn't know that his sister is in town during this time.
I have no idea why Maggie keeps her break up a secret or why seeing Sam is such a big deal.
Maggie is a little flaky. She is young and it's obvious that she needs to grow up and find herself.
Sam is early 30s. He's about to take over Tire Depot. His uncle is retiring and turning the business over to Sam. He has feelings for Maggie, but she keeps bringing up her ex!
There's some cute lines that play off Maggie's naivete'. A customer at the bait shop calling her a master baiter & she brags like she's been complimented. ;)
This was a cute follow up, but I just love the first book.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author.. So I read as soon as I got this book, since I loved the first book in this series. This is Sam's story and his love interest Maggie. I got say did not like Maggie, and I kept hoping that eventually I would, but the end I didn't hate her but still kind of wished that Sam had somebody else. Maggie was dumped by her boyfriend and he had mentioned that she was basic, so to prove him wrong and that he would want her back she runs to where her older brother Miles lives. She decides she is going to be adventurous and ice fishing is the first thing she found. That started as a disaster but Sam came to her rescue and while spending time with him their relationship turned into more. Now Sam is not the type to have a relationship, but there is something about Maggie besides being smoking hot (his thoughts). Why didn't I care for Maggie? well her reasons on why she should improve herself, and the lying, the whole lot of lying. I reminded myself that she was young and that is what saved her from my hatred, I loved reading about Kate and Miles and loved Sam, he was so sweet. I kind of wished that Miles would have given Maggie a hard time since he hated lying so much as we knew from first the story, I think that was all I missed in this book besides that it was still good. Enjoy!

I need my own Sam. I'm not gonna lie, Sam is the major draw in Next in Line. No shade to Maggie (though she was REALLY driving me nuts with her attachment to Sterling, but let's chalk that up to her youth), but Sam might just be the GOAT book boyfriend. He's sexy as h3!!, manly, about his business, loves his mama and his sisters and his nieces and nephews, is packing, and his views on reciprocation are PERF. Yep, the more I think about it the more GOAT he gets. And his backstory makes him even more swoon worthy. I loved the adventures in outdoor sports, the friendship between Max and Sam, the glimpses and updates we got into Max and Kate's relationship, Kate's hilarious unfiltered contributions to the dialogue whenever she was on the page, Sam's niece, and the hint we get for the next book in the series (Dr. Dick FTW). Next In Line is just a fun sexy time and totally rereadable (high praise from me) - in fact, just thinking about it now makes me want to revisit the hot tub scene... 4.5 out go 5 wine glasses.

A sexy ginger, bearded male yumminess named Sam. A sassy, fun, woman trying to break out of her old shell named Maggie. We have sexual chemistry from the start and comedy relief around every corner. I laughed out lot throughout this story and enjoyed every moment.

As with the other books in this series I feel like I don't have much to say. They're not bad but nothing crazy special either. I had an enjoyable time reading and was a pretty good take on the brothers best friend trope but its been a few days now since I finished it and nothing was particularly memorable. Still fitting for the mood of what I was feeling like reading though!!

I few years ago, I read the first book in the Wait for Me Series and I kind of forgot how much Amy Daws’s stories were entertaining. I finally, yes FINALLY, continued the series with Next in Line and had such a good time listening to the audiobook. Sam and Maggie were just too adorable together. Their story is an age gap, brother’s best friend romance that had me laughing a lot, but also swoon really hard.

Maggie is young and a little naive. After a bad break up, she’s determined to go out of her comfort zone to prove to her ex that she can be spontaneous and wild. It’s so apparent that she doesn’t know what she’s doing, lol. Sam comes to the rescue when she decides to go ice fishing and develops a sweet friendship with her bursting with an intense attraction.

With Maggie still emotionally wounded and Sam feeling like he’s too old for her, they try to resist their growing pull toward each other. It’s not an easy feat when they spend so much time together sharing amazing moments. Their relationship is truly effortless and so pretty! I need to acknowledge that Maggie was annoying at times though, pinning over her ex that was a tool while she had the most amazing guy falling for her. Sam was such a great hero!

The narration of this audiobook made the experience of this novel even more interesting. Both narrators were perfect at impersonating the protagonists.

Overall, Next in Line was a really good book. The combination of hilarious situations, steamy scenes and sweeter ones made my listening delightful!

When Maggie’s boyfriend dumps her for being “too basic,” she decides to go on a series of adventures to prove to herself and her ex that there’s more to her than meets the eye. She goes straight to Boulder, Colorado to stay with her brother but isn’t ready to face the music. So that’s how Maggie ends up in a bait & tackle shop. And somehow she ends up going ice fishing with a super sexy ginger.

Sam is 31 yet has never had a relationship. He’s always the casual kind of guy. But something about the spirited, sassy girl he met in the tackle shop really gets him going. He hasn’t been ice fishing with anyone since his dad, yet he invites Maggie to tag along without giving it a second thought.

Maggie shares with Sam her plans of adventure and the two of them end up having more fun together than either of them could’ve imagined. But what happens when Maggie discovers that Sam is none other than her brother Miles’ best friend? Maggie’s about to find out just how complicated things can get...

Next In Line by Amy Daws is book 2 in the Wait with Me series. This was just as funny and lighthearted as book 1! I really enjoy how each book in this series is based around people who meet in a waiting room. And when Sam was introduced in book 1, I was looking forward to see his romance. The only thing that irked me about this story was how naive and blind Maggie was in regard to her ex boyfriend. I wanted her to be confident in moving on and never looking back. But with that said, I still had such a great time reading this one. 4/5 stars.

I enjoyed Wait With Me so much when Amy said there was going to be a book 2 I was all about it.
I love that the characters all interconnect and we still get Kate and Miles.

Maggie and Sam crack me up you can feel their chemistry from a mile away and that my friends is what makes a great romance book. Between the banter and their connection, you can’t help but root for them even when they are not rooting for each other. ;)

I love how Maggie had to see with her own eyes what was right in front of her face this whole time. But also how Sam opens himself up and doesn’t even know he is doing it.

Amy, thank you for not creating drama for the sake of drama this was a great book and it didn’t need all the extra you knew just when to pull back and give us all the swoon.

Loved loved the narration, Erin and Teddy are an amazing team and it feels seamless when they are in my ears.
