Christmas season is marred by violence In a once peaceful town.
Christmas is a magical time for Parson Molly Canton. But savage attacks on several women in her parish threaten that joy. Assisting Detective Callum McCloud’s investigation, Molly is drawn to the tortured man, embittered by a devastating loss. Once the detective realizes these attacks are a smoke screen obscuring the real target—Molly—the stakes escalate…especially now that Molly's goodness has breached Callum’s calloused heart.

This is not your typical romantic suspense. Not with someone brutally attacking single women in their homes.
Sweet, generous Pastor Molly Canton was always willing to help one of her congregants, even in the middle of the night. Especially with the attacks happening. While investigating the crimes, Detective Callum McCloud realized all of the women knew Molly. Some as close friends, and some attended her church.
Callum had recently moved to the small town from Boston. While he followed his standard investigative methods, he realized it was quite different in a small town where everyone knew each other.
I liked that the pastor was shown as a regular woman as well as a pastor. I loved that she had been in the National Guard before becoming a pastor. Nobody ever suspected that she could kick a$$, if necessary.
Poor Callum was still grieving the death of his wife, years before. Molly was determined to help him get over his grief. Little did she know how that would happen.
I highly recommend this to romantic suspense fans who like a HEA.
I enjoyed this intriguing romance. I bought this at a local store and I voluntarily chose to review this story. I've given it a 4.5* rating and it is not for the under 18 readers. I had a hard time reading about the sexual encounters with the Parsen. This was beyond me preferring clean reads. It was a pull you in quick and wanting to turn the pages type read. It has a lot of action and a really love to hate bad guy who thinks he is so smart. It also had a nice Christmas theme to leave you with a good feeling.
Always a good read from Lee. I really liked these characters and the plot of this heart wrenching story. Both the main characters were interesting and strong. Always looking forward to the next adventure in Conard City.
Loved this book found it interesting that the main female character was a Pastor. Rachel Lee's Conrad County books are my favorites of her books. I just wish I could find them easier.
