This was a totally unexpected read. Told from three points of view, but only triangularish for a very small part at the start of the book, the added voice of not a love interest added so much and helped develop characters with such depth and friendship.
Sure, there was instalove and all that, but it was almost believable!.

Mercy is on the run from her ex husband after he physically abused her and put her in the hospital. Her brother helped her relocate to a small town where she met a sheriff and doctor who both have the hots for her. She opens up to both of them but only wants one of them as her lover. Chris and Dan will do anything to help protect her from her ex husband. And also someone else from the small town who wants her dead and out of the picture.
I don't want to say too much and spoil the story for you but it's definitely a must read!

My page’s corner flipped down, and I closed my book as I turned to face him. “Got a lot of room to talk.” Since our skin met the night before when he shook my hand, I ached for another dose of his life force, and I leaned in a little closer. “Don’t you think?”

Overall very good read
Plenty of twists and turns. While I did see the ending happening the way it did, there still were some surprises in the story.

After reading the plot I was unsure if this would be my type of book. Well let me tell you, it certainly was! It had sorrows, pain, suspense, smut, and just the right amounts of sprinkles of romance. I fell in love with the characters, even the ones i wasn't sure of in the beginning. There were many twists and turns. I loved the ending. I cant wait to read more from this author.
