You probably don’t remember, but...

Miyazen is a prim and proper young lady, and Matsubayashi is a brusque former troublemaker. They both want to get closer and secretly rack their brains every day trying to come up with things to talk about.

But why is it that they’re so interested in each other in the first place? In this installment, we learn a bit more about their pasts and motivations!

MATSUBAYASHI AND MIYAZEN ARE JUST TOO PRECIOUS!!!! 😭😭😭😭

I honestly can't even with these two and how wholesome and adorable this series continues to be!! It has definitely been a slow burn romance, but every single chapter always makes me laugh and/or giggle at their antics. I deeply loved their interactions and how hard both of them are trying and feeling like it's going unnoticed by the other. LOL! I'm definitely 1000% rooting for them to get closer!!

I also loved the two backstories and was excited by the afterword because bring alllll the romantic development!!

I will continue to highly recommend this series if you're looking for a SUPER sweet, slow burn romance that is so lighthearted and fun!

Chapter 26 was the most interesting due to the two girls who got bullied and Miyazen who even stood up for herself and the other girl. Her reasoning was good too as she said that she thinks she would have regretted it if she wouldn't have stood up for her friend. In general getting a bit backstory is always insightful and interesting!

The afterword also seems to tell us that some background/backstory characters will come back again in the next volume and that we get a deeper connection between our male and female lead!

Unfortunately, just like I said in my last review; The romance is quite superficial and not very deep and it feels a lot like a slife of life romance instead of a really strong romance with strong characters and personalities.
I mean, some people like to read such stuff but I prefer stories where something is actually happening and we get to know the characters more. So far we got a bit of backstory, but considering that there are only 4 volumes and we already read 2, it's not enough. But let's see where the next volume is heading to.

Miyazen and Matsubayashi continue to dance their dance and rot your teeth with their wholesome love.

Some books simply don’t give you a lot to work with. These two are cute and sweet. They can’t quite say what they want, but make many, many affectionate overtures and get romantically flustered. That’s every story here, full stop.

Which is not a knock, honestly, because it’s a very enjoyable set-up and these two are positively sugar-coated when they’re together. We see what a good influence Miyazen has been (without even realizing it) during the ‘why do they like one another’ flashback scene that does go a long way (more and more of the series in this specific genre have been showing why they match and it’s a nice addition).

It’s just cute after cute with a side order of cute. There’s not much else to say about it. Slight, yet adorable. Seriously, it’s just kind of there and not offensively so, but while I enjoy it a bunch I can think of a dozen manga I’d rather be reading.

3 stars - I really can’t give this more just because of how thin it is, page-wise and content-wise. But the story is solid and I do like these characters and that carries it a long way in my estimation.

THE CUTENESS CONTINUES!!! we get more from their friends here, which helps deepen the story and relationships. toda coming in and telling matsubayashi about miyazen’s fear of blood but her rushing over to him when he was injured…my heart!!! we also get more of their backstory, which includes a chance meeting when they were young. the fact that both actually recognized each other but think the other forgot is just adorable.

I am head over heels for this series!!! my favorite new romance manga for sure, this kind of wholesomeness is my absolute favorite.

Not a whole lot going on but the story is cute and sweet. We get to see a little bit more of the backstory of both characters.

This book is absolute sunshine. I need more of Sota and Sakura, they’re so precious. I liked reading about their personal past and how they met … that twist.. ugh so cute. In immediate need of the volume 3 and 4 💛
