He’s the alpha I love to hate. And the only shifter I can trust…
I may have escaped Project Night Moon with my life, but that doesn’t mean the investigation is over.
With Eli by my side, together we must close the experimental shifter facility down for good.
Unfortunately, shutting down the facility isn't our only problem. Now Eli’s abusive stepfather has arrived in town, determined to cause tension within the pack.
When I learn that Project Night Moon has links to traumatic events from my past, I won’t stop until every last traitor is brought to justice.
But it’s possible that there are spies hiding in Eli’s pack, so I can’t trust anyone.
Except for the one shifter I told myself I’d never fall for. And I think it’s already too late…
All in all, a very satisfying series. This is the final book in the series, and while not all ends are tied up nicely, it was still an entertaining read. This book picked up right where book 2 left off, with our main couple visiting the Longbow pack in London. From there, the plot just thickened with a somewhat satisfying, if quick, end. I feel in a lot of these series, we have an end we are working towards and it always seems like it took us 3 books to get here, and now you’re done in a couple of paragraphs?
There’s also the loose ends that are dropped, rather abruptly. There’s a few other things like this which was the reason for my 3, rather than 4, star rating.
It could be that the author has another series in mind to continue to track the movements of “Project Night Moon” across the globe which would make sense that not everything has to be tied up in a nice pretty bow, like I want, in this series. But then there is no mention or hint of something more to come, as one would expect. Although I still hate the sound of an unresolved chord progression, and that is somewhat how I felt at the end of this series.
I do like the characters and world building, but felt like the plot development could have been a bit more thorough. I still enjoyed the series and would recommend it to others that like a light PNR book. However, I do recommend that you read the previous Chosen by the Alpha series first. That is Eli’s brother, Remus’ story. He and Eli’s father figure very prominently in this series, and it lays a good foundation for the relationship between the three of them that is front and center in this series.
So yeah, some of this was disappointing. I had worked out the plot twists all the way back in book 2.
I don’t understand what the ‘treasure’ actually was and it wasn’t really explained well and there was no closure for it when Iris said she would mention it to everyone…
I had a feeling Hannah and Ashley were part of it especially after the social media photos and Iris noticed 2 of the guards.
I actually loved Maverick and knew he was going to be the good guy all the way through.
We didn’t see any closure with the Longbow pack and we didn’t see what Nic did to Gage although I’m sure he is dead…
I think the story had a lot more potential if the author just did a bit more as the ending felt rushed.
Even Eli’s chaotic family and pack politics, including an attempted coup distract Eli and Iris from Night Moon on a short trip to London. Things move along quickly when Eli’s uncle and step-father follow Eli, Iris and Bella to the safe house and try to insert themselves with whatever has Eli and Nic occupied in Texas plus Eli is still upset over a stinging betrayal.
Bella’s wiggled her way completely inside Iris’ heart and Iris is torn, having no idea with mushy, unfamiliar feelings. Eli faces an old demon as he and Iris face some truths about the future. Making a plan with a questionable ally and new information on the insidious Night Moon project, raises even more questions causing the team to look even deeper. Rating: 4.5stars
A actual surprise ending, and yet not really. I knew Iris, Eli and Bella would end up a family. I knew they would mostly solve the problems of the "Brotherhood" but since it was a worldwide organization it wouldn't be completely resolved. I knew Nice Archer would remain a good guy and Remus Silverstreak. I didn't see the girls being involved or the London connection. No I won't put in a spoiler! The "treasure" was confusing and disappointing. The series was enjoyable despite grammar errors. I hope the author is British and the errors are just a result of being from the other side of the pond.
Wow! I really enjoyed all the plot twists in this book and feel like it was a very fitting end to the story. However I just feel like some parts were lacking. I absolutely love Eli and have really enjoyed watching his character growth especially from his childhood trauma. I feel like parts of this book could of been more detailed - especially the final plot twist. Overall I think it’s still a very good read and I highly recommend it.
Another amazing read by Skye Wilson. I really enjoyed Eli and Iris story. They sure did go through a lot to get to where they are at in their relationship. Especially admitting they were mates, and taking in a toddler to raise.
This was an awesome series. It contained a lot of action, trauma, love, and emotional heartbreak. It also contained some funny parts and romance. I enjoyed reading these books. Excellent.
This book had tons of action and romance. They make a play to stop the awful Dr Brennar will they shit the whole thing down and what is next after thus case is wrapped up Silk they go their separate ways or realize they are mates?
Such a good series. The plot was very interesting and the characters kept you engaged. Couldn’t stop wanting to turn page after page for what’s coming next. I hope there are some additional sections to the series and various characters!
Great drama, mixed with excellent characters and an interesting storyline made for an exceptional book. I really enjoyed reading this and cannot wait for more.
I absolutely ADORED Eli & Iris (& Bella too) and this was a perfect ending to their story - ALTHOUGH- I do home we get another glimpse into their world!!
