This book was so disappointing! It’s a cozy mystery, but the only death is because of natural causes. It’s also the first in the series, but the characters were shallow and I most definitely will not read any more of them! Boo!!📚🐉

A fun beginning to a new series with great characters you can relate to. Dan, retired police and Molly, soon to be retired found their perfect retirement home in an RV park, at Baldwin Beach RV Park. It has all the amenities a retired couple could want, concerts, amenities, contests and so much more. In fact, this story has a decorate your golf card contest where we see Donna Parker as the winner much to the chagrin of another competitor, Thomas O'Rourke and his fried Troy. In fact, Thomas was so mad that he lost again, he and his friend Troy went to Donna and her husband, Gerald's, RV to tell her off. When Gerald steps out of his RV and tells his wife to get inside, he confronts Thomas and it gets very loud. Thomas and Troy leave the RV and they all turn in. Next day when Dan and Molly are out taking their morning walk, they come upon a body that just happens to be Gerald. Well, rumors start and accuse his wife, Donna as his murderer. This is left for Officer Sherry to investigate. But of course, much to Molly's chagrin, Officer Sherry asks for his insight. Well now we are taken on a ride with dead ends and red-herrings until the very surprise ending! This is the start of a very promising series and I can't wait for more! Maisy Marple has an amazing sense of humor and has brought it into this well written cozey mystery. Her characters are brought to life with vibrant personalities that will have you drawn into this cozey mystery within the first chapter and will keep you captivated, while you'll be further enticed through the intrigue of a campground death. Mayhem erupts with the gossip mill moving forward with speculations. It's so easy to fallow along forgetting the world around you, encompassed the words of Maisy Marple's intriguing and comical world of mystery following an entertaining plot turning intriguing page after intriguing page unfolding the mystery of a death and what ensues after. You can't imagin what's to come. Aquire " Campground Catastrophe " (A Humorous Campground Cozy Mystery (RV Resort Mysteries Book 1) so you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have. Dan and Molly Snyder stay at the Ballwin Beach RV Park when they can until Molly retires. Dan is a retired cop. They both love this rv park and especially taking walks until they discover the body of Gerald Parker. Donna Parker who is Gerald’s wife had just that day won the best dressed golf cart. She had won in previous years also. When Thomas O’Rouke aka the Leprechaun found out Donna won he was livid, so he confronted Donna and her husband.

Officer Frank Sherry is called into figure out the murder of Gerald. Gerald was quite the drinker and was verbally abusive to Donna. Dan gets involved with helping Officer Sherry to solve the murder. Once a cop always a cop!

This was a fun read and so true how people jump to conclusions!

Gerald Parker's body was found by Dan and Molly near their R V champsite at Baldwin Beach site. Officer Sherry is called to the scene and he asks Dan who had been a police officer before to help him . Everyone in the champ thought it was the wife Donna who had killed him. There is a lot of humour and interesting characters to this book. Thomas O'Rourke and Troy had been told off by Gerald the previous night before his death. Donna was harassed by the crowd as they thought she was guilty . A very surprising ending to this read. I am on the ARC team and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.

This is a new series called the RV series which starts out with Dan and Molly at the Baldwin Beach RV park. While out on a morning walk they were the lucky people to come across a person sitting against a dumpster. Upon further investigation the person became a body and the case was on. Who had reason to off Gerald? Was it his wife Donna who won the golf cart decorating prize, or the hot headed loser Thomas O'Rourke?
Great story line and fast read another one of Maisy Marple series . I'm an arc reader and make this review of my own accord.

This was a short, fun read. Gerald Parker was discovered dead by a dumpster at the Baldwin Beach RV Park. He was found by retired police officer, Dan and his wife, Molly. Most of the people at the RV Park thought that Gerald was murdered by his wife, Donna. Officer Sherry of the Baldwin Beach police department had his work cut out for him with the case. Did Donna really kill Gerald? Did someone else kill him? Find out by reading this entertaining mystery. I highly recommend it to other cozy mystery readers. I received an ARC of this book, and the opinion expressed is strictly my own.

Cute and easy read

A death impending the RV park shows just how rumors can get out of hand. The park has different areas, each with inhabitants in different stages of life. Some fun things go on, such as concerts and contest. But when a man is found dead by a dumpster, people become strange, rather like normal towns or cities. The local cop, officer Sherry, has a lot to deal with. The ending comes quickly and rather unexpectedly. All in all, a cute read.

This is the first the first in the series. The main characters are Dan, a retired cop and Officer Sherry. Dan and his wife have a RV camper spot. They are out taking a walk and find a body by the dumpsters. The man is dead but no one is sure how or why. Officer Sherry is investigating and asks for Dan's help. They set out to figure this all out and it sure wasn't what I thought it was ? Great book and easy read.

The storyline is really interesting. The author brings up a good point that a group of people can be turned into a vigilante mob. Doesn't take much and then the person caught in the middle can have disastrous results!! This is a new series for this author but I have enjoyed all of her past series so I look forward to this one!

A man is found at the huge garbage bin — standing up - DEAD
A couple goes for a walk and sees him. He thinks it is strange and goes up to him and then realizes he’s dead. As a former police officer, he knows! And the mystery is WHO killed him!! This was a fun read and very different from most of the other cozies I've read. An older retiring couple living in an RV park is such a unique setting. I didn't love all the characters, but I did love their believability. The story is a great lesson in the dangers of rumors and jumping to conclusions.

I enjoyed this short read and as always with Ms. Maple there is mystery and humor worked into the story. The characters are fun and interesting. I'm old enough to be able to relate to the characters which is good for understanding the story and the people.

I enjoyed getting to know Molly and Dan in this fun little read with an interesting twist at the end. Dan seemed to have hit it off with the investigating officer since Dan was a retired cop, but I wonder if Molly's gonna find someone to have as a bestie. Richard and Brenda were nice neighbors, although I think Molly needs a nice doggie companion. ;) I'll be borrowing the next book when it's out!

This is a quick, easy. cozy mystery read that is very enjoyable for the most part. Don't pick it up looking for deep, emotional characters or intense drama because this is not that. But if you are looking for a break from those types of stories and just need a quick, relaxing read; this is it.

Okay

This is really more of a novella than a novel. While the plot is okay there is virtually no character development. The ending comes suddenly . The relationship between some of the characters was murky. On the plus side, the writing was good with few, if any, typos or grammatical errors. If you are looking for a fast read this may be for you.

Interesting characters with excellent descriptions of them and surroundings, story quickly pulls you in, insight into how easy things can get out of control, jumping to conclusions. Very enjoyable and well written. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

Christian Mystery?

I chose to read this book because it indicated the author wrote Christian mystery. There was nothing Christian about this book as I look for a redeeming ending based on Biblical themes. I gave it 2 stars because it was at least an easy read but I won’t be reading any more by this author.

Having been an RVer I could relate to the story

I liked the authenticity of the background. As a mystery writer, though not of cozies, I could appreciate the pace, the characters, and the resolution that came as no surprise. This didn’t spoil the fun and enjoyment of the short cozy mystery. I intend to read more of Maisy Marple.

I've been reading Maisy Marpel's books for some time now, and each one keeps you guessing, this book is no exception, I love trying to figure out her mysteries. I also love the good, clean content of her books. A must read for mystery solvers everywhere!

Dull

For me, this book was boring. The last 3 chapters were interesting. Much of the story was character backstory. Lessening that to fewer chapters and adding in more funny, excitement, or mystery would make it better.

Fun Read!

This was a quick and easy read! I liked the characters, but more development is definitely needed. It was more about the people in the RV park than the mystery, but it was enjoyable. I would recommend it for what it is.
