I read this when I was in high school back in the 70s, shortly after it was published. All I remember about it was that it made me laugh, and I couldn't believe grown men acted so silly. I did get one good piece of information from it that helped me as a running back. Csonka recommended running scared. When you get the ball, you run as if you're a kid running from whatever monster is chasing you. This advice really helped me, especially on kick-off returns.
This book was written by Larry Csonka and Jim Kiick, along with Dave Anderson, who possibly did most of the actual writing. Csonka and Kiick were the running back team for the Miami Dolphins when they had their greatest years and I really loved to watch them do their thing. I hated when they defected to the World Football League. You never heard anything about them again after that really. I much enjoyed this.
There are a couple of editions of this book. I have the later edition, which has an extra chapter.
