After reading “Belong to Me” the first book in the “Larsen Ranch” series I was sent the ARC of book 2 “Return to Me” to read and review. In this book it’s the turn of Savannah Larsen and Logan Sanderson as the two main protagonists.
Van and Logan have secretly loved each other for years. After an unexpected passionate moment some years ago they end up sleeping together…time has passed by, but neither one of them has ever spoken about that particular night again. Oh they are best friends and Van even works for Logan….but would they ever get the courage to admit their true feelings to one another?
“Return to Me” is an easy read, with believable characters whose outcome you come to care about. Its the perfect read in between heavier reads. I really liked the two main protagonists of Book 2 and it was a satisfying “friends to lovers” romance. I also like the way the authors are heading with the series…In this book you definitely get more depth from the Larsen clan…which I think will encourage readers to want to know and read more about each family member.
I must add that this is not a Genre I usually read. However, I did enjoy Van and Logan’s story. I definitely think the two authors Amy and CeeCee will gain some new Romantic Fiction fans as well as Cowboy Romance fans with this book.
Looking forward to finding out which Larsen story we get next. I wish the authors the very best of luck with “Return to me” and the rest of “The Larsen Ranch series”.
I will preface my review by noting that i have not read the first book, but that it was easy to follow as it was from the POV of different characters than the first. Return to Me was a sweet, predictable read. Perfect for a comfort read, or if you like a protective country man!
Savannah and Logan have loved each other for years. The whole town knows it. But it seems that they are both too stubborn and insecure to actually admit it to each other, and so they do the friendship dance, neither quite happy.
Savannah is asked on a date by an old acquaintance, which spurs Logan to finally lay out his feelings for her, thank goodness because these two were so frustrating lol. I just wanted to squish their heads together like Barbie dolls and make them kiss!
I really enjoyed the family dynamic in this book, and I certainly wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of any of the Larsens! We were left with a satisfying ending, but with plenty of windows open for further family stories!
Thanks to the author for this advance copy, I really enjoyed it.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Honestly this story surprised me in the sense that I normally don’t care for ‘cowboy’ type stories, but this one blew me away! It didn’t feel ‘too western’ for me and I loved the story itself and the characters. The character’s growth in the story really reminded me of my own relationship with my husband. Great story, lovable characters, and the perfect amount of spice… what more could you want in a fun and cute read? 5 stars for me, and I look forward to discovering more on the Larson Ranch.
An enjoyable easy read. Follows on from book one but is still a stand alone novel which you do not need to have read book one to follow. Unfortunately there were a few mistakes in it such as spelling and the like but these didn't detract from the storyline.
