Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and to the place they now call home. Winter spends her days writing happily ever afters, and her nights being a karate mom hauling her son to practices and tournaments. She also has an addiction to anything MC related, puppies, and baking.
I was sure about this one at first because of the way the last book ended. I liked this one just fine, but I was excited to read the one as all the overs. I got better the further you get into the book. The end was amazingly jaw-dropping, and now I can't wait for the next book.
Ride the Wind was the eighth book in the Devil’s Knights MC Second Generation series by Winter Travers. The original series does not have to be read first, but the Second Generation series should be read in order.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I really enjoyed both Zig and Reese. They fit it well with the Devil’s Knight’s. No spoilers but a cliff hanger occurred in the previous book with Zig and Ride the Wind picked up where it left off. It was a quick, suspenseful and enjoyable read. I did wish for more depth and detail and a lot less editing errors, but all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what happens with Easy next.
I enjoyed Zig and Reese's story in this latest installment of the 2nd generation of the Devils Knights MC. Reese's character fits in well with the crazy that runs through the clubhouse, and once Zig figures out what it really means to be involved in an MC that's totally family-oriented, he accepts the fact that the woman he didn't want to get involved with is actually the one he's been waiting for his whole life.
I fell in love with this book right from the get-go. Zig was a grumpy biker and Reese was an innocent owner of a bakery. When Reese’s friend makes her go to a MC party things really go south except for the fact that Zig and Reece first meet.
Zig had left his family’s club to go to a different MC and that MC was nothing like what Zig had known in his life. He found out fast that this club didn’t look out for its own especially when a brother is found dead and his girlfriend and Reese’s friend goes missing after that party.
I loved the push/pull of Zig and Reese. There were moments of laughter but the suspense and drama led the way in this book making it a one-sit read for me. I also loved how a family was there to support each other no matter what. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next book in this series
Ride the Wind is a story that has you falling in love with a grumpy biker and a sweet baker. Zig has lost his way and has forgotten what was important landing him as a prospect of another MC. He’s not looking for love like the rest of his family have until Reese stumbles into his world. Their story is witty, action packed and filled with hilarious banter and moments. It is also filled with sweetness, love and a few steamy scenes. The chemistry and connection between these two is magnetic and one that leaves no room for anything but forever. Another fabulous read in this second generation that leaves you on the edge of your seat and eager for the next book.
I will admit that the whole Zig going rogue thing never really sat right with me, but I enjoyed the way the story was brought back around. The play between him and Reese was entertaining and I enjoyed their development. Meg will forever be my favorite and I always enjoy the peaks at the older generation in these stories.
That being said, it’s so difficult to read these books when they’re so poorly edited. Between incorrect words, basic grammar errors, and sometimes just seeming like entire sentences were missing I was constantly pulled from the story by the mistakes. Winter you’re too good of a storyteller to let bad editing mess with your book.

Ride the Wind is book eight of the Devil's Knights 2nd Generation. I would start at book one in the series, as each book starts where the previous left off. This romance journey focuses on Zig and Reese.
Their story was angsty, unpredictable, humerous, and had some added twists. I did feel that we missed some real plot development as well as character development with Zig.
First, we never really find out what his beef was. The explanation we got seemed like a cop out and didn't really make sense. Secondly, I would have liked to hear the conversation he had with his parents and his twin brother too, especially after that incredibly hurtful stunt he pulled. We didn't even see him apologize to the club. Just seemed like he got off easy for all his assholish ways, even with Reese.
Overall this was an enjoyable, quick, and entertaining read and leaves you guessing on what will happen next with Easy.
Ride the Wind is book eight in the second generation Devil's Knights series and while you can read it as a standalone, it is best to read in order to get the MC story as it continues throughout the series. This is Zig's story and if you read the prior book you saw the cliffhanger with Zig. This story picks right up. Zig has made some choices that are not the smartest; however, had he made different choices he would not have met Reese. These two may be complete opposites and wanted to forget they ever met, but they fit perfectly. You will see the first generation and others make an appearance and it is nice to see them still be an unusual clan, but close. The story is full of suspense and bonding even when some don't see eye to eye. Reese and Zig feel free when they Ride the Wind together. Go Easy on us in the next book in the series! wink wink. Inquiring minds want to know how Kerry is?
Forever wanting these stories to be longer and go on forever! The cliffhangers that Winter leaves us with in this series truly have me on the edge of my seat, with this one being no exception. This installment focuses on Zig and his life after leaving the MC and joining as a prospect at another one. Through the new MC he meets Reese, a baker who isn’t interested in the MC or the guys but is there supporting her friend. That all changes the next day, when she finds that her friend ditched her and is now missing, and her only help inside the MC is Zig. When Reese’s friend goes missing and nobody at the MC is concerned, Zig has his guard up, and that goes up even more when he finds one of the members who was last with her dead. This book went through all the twists and turns, and I continued to second guess who I thought was behind everything. I can’t wait for the next book in this series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A lot of times we sure don't know what we have until it's gone, that's for sure. Zig is a biker on the grumpy side who has left his MC to prospect for another MC, but he sure didn't have a clue as to how bad of a decision it would prove to be. Reese is a bakery owner who gets hounded by her bestie to go to a MC party, and from the moment she comes face to face with Zig, the sparks are flying. However, instead of having a good time getting to know each other, things take a downward turn when Resse's bestie can't be found but the dead body of a brother is discovered. Now the twists start coming in hot all over the place as there's definitely danger lurking by, and Zig must make the decision if he's going to ask his family (the better MC) for help while dealing with the developing feelings for Reese, so you don't want to sleep on Ride the Wind! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Ride the Wind (Devil's Knights 2nd Generation Book 8)
Zig & Reese
Zig has changed clubs. His family and he have lived their lives in the Knights but he isn't happy. His new friend from the Sins MC has told him how great it is. Did he make a mistake?
She's a baker and pretty sheltered. Still, her friend persuades her to come to a Sins party. Not a good night for anyone.
Zig isn't interested in settling down with just one any more than she is interested in settling with a bike -- that may have changed when they met . There is plenty of intrigue. Answers discovered. Great characters.
I did feel that there were some abrupt transitions. The story was good, as well as the characters but some editing would improve the overall offering.
This is the 8th book in this 2nd generation series. Zig is a grumpy biker who left his family’s MC to join another club, while Reese is an innocent bakery owner who has led a sheltered life. When Reese’s friend convinces her to attend an MC part with her, she meets Zig. Things to not go to plan when one of the brothers’ is killed, and Reese’s friend disappears, which opens Zig’s eyes that things are not right in the club. This is a well written story which has suspense, danger, intrigue, twists, angst, loyalty, family. Friendships, humor, drama, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Ride the Wind is the 8th book in the Devil's Knights MC 2nd Generation series. I really loved reading this book. The story was written well and flowed nicely. This book picks up at the cliff hanger from the previous book. Zig left the Devil's MC to go to a different one and found it to be nothing like the Devil's Knights MC family. The only good thing to come out was him meeting Reese. Reese owns a bakery and her friends invite her along to a party at the MC clubhouse. Something happens and she meets Zig. Zig and Reese have romantic chemistry between them. Loads of suspense and bonding occur. I like that the OG and others make an appearance. Can't wait to read the next book. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book from an advanced reader copy.
That's crazy!! These assholes still can't stop hurting innocents but sum is who gets it in the end, the innocents or their assholes that r doing the preying on them? Read it and decide 4 urself. zig was he'll bent on getting away from family and the MC cause he thought they did wrong. But I think he was seeing things that wasn't necessarily there just 2 make a excuse. I wonder a little if he was a little bit jealous of his twin possibly finding love that he didn't like the comparison between his bro and a woman vs them 2 2gether as always. Maybe in a strange way there's a motive 2 the madness sorta. But hopefully he can find his own possible love 4 himself 2. I loved it. But there was a few spots that had me worried especially when it comes 2 any innocents involved.
Wow what a ride. Reese is a sweet bakery owner that is talked into going to a Sons of Sin MC party by her friend Kerry. She meets Zig when Kerry takes off with Brain. Zig is a new prospect who ran away from his previous club the Devil's Knights. Things happen then Zig and Reese are thrown together facing a mystery and death. I loved the way this story built and how Zig and Reese grew. Amazing writing by Winter Travers as always. I absolutely love this series. We get to meet up with the Devil's Knights and can I just say I love them so much and what they stand for. There is a bit of a cliffy but I didn't mind it. Can't wait for more and I devoured this one. Highly recommended!
~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This book is one of my favs. Reese had me from the beginning. Just a normal woman until she meets Zig. She doesn’t know what to think of him. She really just needs to find her friend. I love the way this one took flight and then had a very smooth landing. Excellent writing.
I wasn't really a fan of the divide wedged between Zig & the Knights. They're family, and especially with Zag getting his HEA, I didn't want this divide between them! So I'm happy Zig's story includes his HEA in more than the usual way!
This was an enjoyable story, tho some things got a little convoluted, and I didn't like some of the pacing. Still, the extra star is given because I love both Reese & Zig, and we get lots of Zany Meg. 😉 Also, I love everyone pulling Reese into the fold and Zig getting his head on straight. 😁
And, as always ALWAYS with this author - the last chapter peek into the next story intrigues me!
Zig was born and raised in the Devil’s Knight MC but he is feeling stifled and is convinced to join another MC. When he meets Reese at a party the sparks fly but a suspicious event has him questioning his decisions when it comes to the present and the past.
Reese is not part of the MC life but is convinced by her friend to attend a party with her. There is no denying the attraction when she meets Zig but she wasn’t prepared for the aftermath of that evening.
Intrigue, surprises and turmoil as Zig and Reese take us on quite the ride as they discover who and what will bring them future happiness.
I LOVED IT! I love this series. This book was kinda slow getting going. There wasn't alot of action til almost the end but when it does it was very interesting. Secrets are revealed, new love is found and problems get solved but again the cliffhanger. Dah, Dah, Dah! Lol! This is Zig's story and we have a new addition to the Devil's Knights family. Reece owns a bakery in town and she unexpectedly under terrible circumstances meets Zig and the Devil's Knights. You're gonna get a big surprise about Zig. At times the suspense was nerve racking. The sex scenes are smokin hot as usual and the romance is so heartwarming it made my eyes alittle watery. I highly recommend this series to everyone.
OMG andddd Winter does it again! I really should know by now that she will end every book with one heck of cliffhanger, but I fall hook, line and sinker, EVERY SINGLE TIME! I was on pins and needles waiting on this release, I mean, how does one just walk away from your family......your twin! This book was a fast read for me, once I start one of Winter's books, I just can't put it away. The struggle that Zip had trying to stay away from Reece was a fun ride and also getting some of the answers from previous books, made this book sing to me.
When Zag's story ended, it ended with Zig having left the MC and joining another. Leaving after not liking how things were going with the Devil's Knights, he goes off to see if the grass is greener on the other side with another MC. This of course means starting over at the prospect phase, that means getting the crap work, like watching over a woman sleeping at a party. This is how he meets Reese. the ride after that is full of drama, danger, violence, funny bits, and spicey naughty moments. Reese and Zip were freaking on fire! I give this 5 stars.
Ride the Wind was a angsty who done it story with humor and family drama. I like Zig and Reese and thought they made a good couple. The supporting characters and family made be laugh and I love how Reese fit right in. This story did feel disconnected to me though and I would have liked more depth into what was happening as the mystery unfolded. Something was missing and felt a little rushed. I definitely wanted something sweet and savory after reading about Reese’s awesome bakery. I would fight over those boxes of goodies too! Yum!
Wow! What a ride that was! I just loved Zig and Reese. I have been so curious about Zig and the choices he'd made and where that was going to take him. Boy oh boy, this story did not let me down! There's the perfect amount of jaw dropping intensity throughout mixed in with this pull between Zig and Reese, I could NOT put this down! I love that there's smiles and laughs as well, the heavy and the light makes this series so amazing! I'm looking forward to what is next.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love this series by Winter Travers . It's so good catching up with my favorite characters again. Winters characters are a freaking hoot I just can't get enough of them .
Winter always drags me in to her storyline and I often wish it was me as one of characters what a hoot that would be 😂.
I loved Reese she reminded me so much of crazy Meg 🤣 Zag is a sweetheart deep down and I loved how he treated Reese .
I look forward to reading the next book in this series so much . Who know what Meg and the "Jollies" will get up to this time .
Zig decided to make a change. He was told everything he wanted to hear. At one of the parties is was tasked to a tedious task. Reese owns a local bakery in town. She was begged to go to a local party by her best friend. A tragic event happens and they are lost for words. All they know is to stick together and try to figure everything out. Zig finally decides to call who he knows can help. Family.
Zig decides that a change of MC is in order because he doesn’t like the direction the Devil’s Knights are taking. He is bummed that he has to prospect all over again. Reece is the local bakery owner and she is begged to go to the local MC party by her BFF. That is the first time they meet. Reece’s BFF disappears and one of the brothers is killed. Things aren’t adding up with this new club. Will Zig call on the Devil’s Knights? Will he help Reece locate her friend?
When it got to the point where Zig didn't feel the Devil's Knights was what he thought it should be he left and joined another MC, the Sons of Sin. He hated he had to start over as a prospect again. Reese finally got her dream of becoming an owner of her own bakery. She and her friend Kerry went to a party at the Sons of Sins. Now Kerry is missing. Zig tried to stay away from Reese but the pull was too great. When death comes knocking at Zig's door he realized it's for revenge.
No No No we should know better than to expect a simple ending from the one and only Winter Travers but you gotta say it keeps us wanting more and more. Riding the Wind a book I read while on holiday in one sitting, Zig and Reese so different that makes them so right for each other. This newest book keeps the laughs coming fast and full with all the usual characters from the previous books keeping the antics going we love so much. Bring on the next book 5 STARS
The Devil's Knights are back and just Zig's turn! After the way book 7 finished, I wonder where things would go with this one. And my heart kind of broke a little, but come on!! This is the Knights! Zig's story had me in the edge of my seat, the twists and turns making my head spin. Then throw in the OGs?! Freaking amazing!!! And that ending? Again?! Love it, waiting patiently for book 9!!!
I love this book so much!! It's great seeing one of my favorite families and MC club again I have read every book and Meg and the gang are hilarious and loyal to each other. I was so glad to see Zig and Reese's love grow. The ending about killed me and now I have to wait and see what happens next. I highly recommend this book and this series.
Funny how thigs work out isn't it, I helped a girl out and what do I go an do fall in love with her damn !! This book is really good and Zig finally figures out that family does come first. Violence, mystery, and hot biker sex. Text with a q Stars review
