Galidin

Rate this book
When Shay and her family carried three hundred colonists to a new world, they thought they were leaving all the problems of Earth and the Klevian Cold War behind, until they arrive and are rammed by a Klevian warship.

Now, stranded on a mountain and with their colonists in stasis in the forest below, they must turn to the Klevians for help descending the treacherous peaks and ice to save their colony and build their new home.

When Galidin awakens it is to be told he is the enemy of the beautiful human he is determined will be his mate. Shay is small, but strong, determined but warm, a leader and everything he could ever imagine for the female he would spend his life with.

But Galidin has no memories of his life before her and Shay is reluctant to touch, initiating the bond that will make her, his.

With his ship mate unconscious and the ship's AI, Jaras, determined to keep them apart, Galidin helps the humans down the mountain. But when they discover there are enemies to both their races on this new world, will the potential of their happily ever after come crashing down around them?

And will Galidin still want the little human when he remembers what it is to be a Klevian Warrior?

If you like deadly enemies-to-lovers alien romance books where the stakes are high and the love is via touch and instant, then you'll love this entire series. Klevian Warriors are loyal to their people but dedicated to their fated mates.
This book is a part of a series and best enjoyed that way. Each book features one fated couple and ends in a guaranteed HEA.

Another amazing story!!! Galidin was so lovable without his memory and a jerk when they returned. It goes to show how the brain can mess with your reality when your heart sees straight through to the truth. So many characters to hunger for more of the story in this universe. Always looking forward to the next story!.

Galidin, the male alien lead, is patrolling Klevian space, following up information provided by a distrusted human female. Shay, the female human lead, is on the colony ship coordinated by her father, moving towards a new planet. When Galidin’s ship crashes into Shay’s, they both crash on the surface of the planet. Galidin’s shipmate is rendered unconscious after providing their names, Galidin has no memory of who he is or the fact that he doesn’t like or trust humans, and he’s convinced Shay is his fated mate. Shay knows he won’t want her once he remembers and she’s determined not to touch him and seal the theoretical bond between them but a genuine accident forces contact.

When Galidin remembers who he is, he is furious with the situation and rejects Shay. Though she’d expected it, Shay is heartbroken. Later, when Galidin realises there is no second chance, Shay isn’t interested in trusting him. And they have mutual enemies on the planet attempting to kill them all…

This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a great addition to the series. I enjoyed the naïveté that Galidin displayed whilst amnesiac, and the joy and enthusiasm he had. I enjoyed and appreciated Shay’s ethics and genuine attempt to wait for his memory to return so he could give informed consent to a bonding. I enjoyed their interactions with each other, as well as the integrated secondary characters that had meaningful impact on the trajectory of their relationship and the rest of the storyline. I enjoyed the relationship and personal development, and I’m looking forward to the next one!

The story starts off with a bang, quite literally, since the beginning starts with a crash of 2 ships in space. This accident causes Galidin temporary amnesia which leads to him being completely fascinated by the human Shay! Someone who Galidin would have avoided at all costs due to his Kings’ suspicions! Galidin would have assumed the worst of her before his amnesia. Shay becomes his center, her scent, the look in her eyes, the smallest touch everything about her is fascinating! Shay’s wellbeing, safety and happiness become his number one concern. Free of bias Galidin is smitten by Shays bravery, courage and strength under impossible situations! He knows she is meant for him! Shay is immensely attracted to Galidin and wants to succumb to her desires but doubts he will stay true to his word once his memory is back and he realizes they are enemies! Can Shay risk her heart, falling for him, knowing he may hate her once he recovers his memory? The heat between Galidin and Shay is scorchingly hot! Their story is thoroughly engaging and kept me at the edge of my seat!

This story made me cry and laugh and want to hug the main characters. So much to go through for our characters and yet they find there way. I thought very highly of Huggie being in love for so many years with Melanie and can't risk their friendship. The love the kids have for him and his love for them.
Mel and Huggies are such good friends they don't want to explore more and ruin everything. What a rollercoaster of emotion as you read. A wonderful, beautiful story with a great HEA.

This was such a great read full of emotions, action, danger and hope. And yes, a great romance, too ;) I loved the concept of Galadin losing his memory and all his prejudices along with it. It sure allowed him to be free to be himself and bond with Shay, a leader of the human group stranded with him, and find love. Their path was not a smooth one and I was caught up watching it unfold. Such a great story and I'm looking forward to more :D

I didn't know what to expect from this book. With all the Primes set up to hate humans it vould be pretty hard to create new different stories but I should have never doubted this author. She created a situation where Galidan and Shay could fall for eachother. I loved how her experiences helped saved everyone and that they didn't have to be separated from everyone to get close. Shay was such a strong women standing up for herself but knowing when to lean on others. Her family was so amazing too. You could feel the connection they had. As for Galidan, he was too adorable being so confident that Shay was his mate but still not doing anything without consent. I loved his insight about why everything is happening. Honestly I can not wait for the other books to come out. I'm just waiting for my chance to say "Oh how the mighty have fallen".

So, here I will wait impatiently for the next book in the series because Syve needs to find her light.
I got an ARC of this book for an honest review. I hope you all will love it as much as I do.

❤️ “I know you. My soul knows you. If I were to touch you for a moment, you would be mine forever.”

Shay is one brave and independent woman. Even more, she’s so strong and feisty. And I loved that she never hesitated when she needed to stand up for herself and the people she cares about. Shay is an amazing woman and I loved her so much!

Galidin is one of the Primes of Klevia and one male who’s not very fond of humans. He’s huge, strong, dangerous, fearsome and so full of animosity towards humanity. But Galidin is also honorable, fiercely protective and deliciously possessive and dominant. And he can be quite charming and irresistible, too. I just loved everything about this four-armed alien!

I absolutely adored everything that happened between Shay and Galidin. Shay and her people are on their way to colonize a new planet, when they are rammed by a Klevian warship. Despite the cold war between the two races, the humans are determined to help the unconscious Klevians. And when Galidin wakes from the accident, he has no memory of who he is but is instantly smitten with Shay. From the moment they met, their attraction was undeniable. But with all the bad blood between humans and Klevians, Shay was not willing to risk her heart before Galidin got his memories back. Nevertheless, I loved how well those two fit together and what a great team they were, trying to establish their new lives on a newly colonized planet. Even more, their chemistry was fantastic and I loved all the moments they spent together getting to know one another and exploring the planet. And when an accidental touch triggers their mate bond, the passionate moments they shared were off-the-charts hot and I just couldn’t get enough! Shay and Galidin were so perfect for each other but will Galidin’s memories, the hatred and the prejudice tear them apart or will their love be strong enough to endure and overcome everything?

In addition, the worldbuilding and the storyline were spectacular! Colonizing a new plant is not an easy task and all the humans did so well (except Marcus - that man is an absolute douche canoe). I just loved Shay’s sister and father so much and, together with Shay, they were such an amazing, supportive and close family. And with the added suspense, the danger, a rogue AI and the lurking Faradne, I was glued to the pages till the very end.

Overall, the story is another magnificent addition to the series! It’s filled with danger, non-stop action, suspense, adventure, twists, drama, violence, blazing hot romance and wonderful characters.

I loved every page of it and cannot wait to see what happens next!

As always this is so well written, I love this author. There are a few things that have started here that will no doubt carry through to other stories. Shay is out to start a new life, colonising a new planet in the far reaches of space and, unbeknowst to her and the others in stasis, that planet is within Klevian space. Suffice to say that humans and klevians are not the best of friends, they are not even friends really. So when a warship collides into the human's ship causing everyone to crash and it turns out to be Klevian, there more than a little unrest. For his part though, Galidin is unaware of the past as since he woke after the crash he has no memory of it. What he does know is that Shay is his mate and the more time he spends with her the more he is certain of it. Shay does not wish to bond with someone who is not truly himself. What if when he remembers he changes how he thinks and feels, he could become a totally different person? I loved how this couple came together and it was interesting to see how a Klevian might react to his human mate without the prejudice.
You don't need to have read the other books to enjoy this one but they are such great reads that I would recommend reading them as well. Really hope that we get a few more couples from this group of characters.

There's nothing worse than having a space ship crash into you.....well maybe there is when that ship is your sworn enemy.

Shay, is a strong independent woman who has no need or desires for a man. That is until her and her family board the Klevian ship that crashed into them. Finding two Klevian males aboard, her and her family need to help them. One who is injured and another who is unconscious.

When Gilidin starts to wake, his senses are on high alert. The female's voice, her smell. His female. He knows without a shadow of a doubt that she is his mate. Unfortunately for him though he doesn't remember the cold war between the Klevian's and humans, but his desires for her do not diminish when she relays current events. With his loss of memory Shay fears that once he gets his memory back all hell will break loose and she will be left with a broken heart.

This is the second book in this series, but technically the third. Varimar and Tacori also found human mates. Galidin, as foolish as they were he refuses to follow in their footsteps. He will not betray his king.

I love everything about this series and L.P does not disappoint. The intense connections these characters have make you want to live in their world. I am so looking forward to the next book!.

What happens when two worlds collide and two people supposed to be enemies but fall in love. Shay and her family leave Earth with 300 other colonists all in statis for there new planet and a better life and leaving the cold war between Klevian and Humans and when they arrive they a rammed by a Klevian warship which sends them both crashing into the mountains and the statis pod’s are now spread all over the forest below and they are stranded together and must work together to survive when they realize they are not alone on this planet. Galidin is on a mission to find out if there is a listening post from the Faradne spying on them when the crash into the human vessel sending them both crashing in an ice covered mountain and when Galidin wakes he has no memory of his past but meeting the gorgeous human female Shay he knows she’s will be his mate and it’s his mission now is to help the humans move there people to safety. With the more time they spend together Galidin knows for sure she is his fated mate and Shay is very attracted to him but she fears that it will end badly when his memories return and his hatred for humans. Does Galidin get his memories and if so how does that effect the humans and especially Shat his mate. Great book

A Klevian warship rams into a human spacecraft with Shay, her family, and several hundred in-stasis colonists aboard, causing all to crash onto the nearby planet. Galidin (H), a Klevian warrior, awakens in the crash with no memory of the bitter conflict between the Klevians and human, though he does find himself drawn to Shay. The Klevians and humans will have to work together if all are to safely make it down from the dangerous, high-altitude, snow-covered mountain they’ve crashed on. As Galadin and Shay spend more time together, he becomes convinced she is meant to be his mate, though Shay refuses to bond him to her unless his memories come back, and he truly still wants her. But accidents will happen eventually things take a very hot, steamy course. Lots of action and adventure. More background as to the relationships between Galadin and his Klevian brothers. While I think you can read this story on, to fully appreciate things I’d recommend reading the prequel Varimar and Book 1 Tacori.

Good

The third story involving the Klevian warriors, features Galidin and Shay.
Shay is one of a group of humans, aiming to colonize a world in the Klevian area of space (not that the humans know this).
Galidin has been sent to find a suspected Faradne listening post, spying on the Klevians.
When the two ships crash land on top of a mountain, Galidin loses his memory, and has to work with the humans to get their injured to safety.

This was an enjoyable sci-fi romance, where a hero whose prejudices and beliefs have been turned off, gets to be the most pure part of himself.
The heroine, Shay, is a strong and upbeat woman, with her own set of principles that guide her.
They’re a fascinating couple, and it was fun to see a Klevian without the blinders!
The overarching background story in the series saw a few important things in this book, so there are sure to be some issues arising from that later too.

A thoroughly enjoyable, quick to read sci-fi romance for the SFR fan!

The idea of human setting out to colonize another world opens the door to so many things that could happen. The situation that Shay and her family find themselves in following a crash in space brought together plot details from previous novels while exploring the effects of amnesia on a faded mate situation. I really liked the fun and sassy family banter between Shay, Syve, Patrick and their father. Between the wonderful descriptions of the characters and the setting, I felt like I was right there watching this close-knit family problem solve and playfully poke fun at each other and their new Klevian friends. Galidin and the history of Klevian and humans emphasized a darker aspect of the plot. I really enjoyed how things unfolded focussing on family, doing what you love and accepting individuals for themselves. The HFA & bit of confusion from a newly awoken Teyr makes me very interested to see where the next story goes!.

This an awesome well written story. I loved reading it and was hooked from the start, I definitely recommend reading it, it’s a 10/10. The characters are fantastic and the storyline has brilliant world building with twists, a crash, fated mates, danger, enemies, steamy scenes and much more with a happily ever after ending.

Shay is a human female who got 300 colonists off Earth and they arrive at their new home planet. Disaster strikes when their ship is crashed into. Galidin is a Klevian warrior. He wakes with no memories of his life before but he realises Shay is his mate. Despite being told they are enemies he helps Shay and the new colonists. Until disaster strikes again when they realise there are enemies of both their people on the planet. It turns into a fight for survival that could put an end to their happily ever after ending. Not only that but will he still want a human for a mate when he remembers what he is? You will have to read to find out.

The Klevian Warrior series is really starting to ramp up!

Galidin is book 2 in the Klevian Warrior series and should be read in order but be sure to start with the novella Varimar that is a prequel to this series.

Galidin is my favorite so far as we dive deeper into the Klevian warrior’s history and this raises more questions about why these aliens are so hostile toward humans. There seems to be an ever present threat from the Faradne alien species to both the Klevian and humans but something tells me that it goes way beyond the obvious and I cannot wait to find out!

Galidin has lots of adventure, danger, excitement and spice when a handful of Human colonists and 2 Klevian warriors crash into each other and land on a hazardous planet. They have to work together to survive and adapt to their circumstance.

The chemistry between Galidin and Shay is off the charts. I love the inclusion of more humans into the storyline, especially shay’s family and I can’t wait to find out more about Teyr and Shay’s sister Syve! I am so excited for the next book in the series!

I was in serious need of a good sci fi romance book and Galidin delivered amazingly. This book was filled with romance, adventure, and drama, my only complaint was that it wasn’t longer.

We have our heroine Shay who is brave, tough and really cares about her family. Galidin was sweet and was completely fascinated with Shay when his memory was lost. They work together to help the people they care about survive when they are stranded on a planet.

The problem is that Galidin and his people hate humans but he doesn’t know that after he loses his memory. I liked that Shay wanted to respect that and resisted him to make sure that she was what he really wanted when he finally remembers.

I loved this book and this series but I’m pouting a little bit because the next book won’t be out until 2023 so I guess I’ll go read L.P. Peace’s other books to hold me over.

This is the third Klevian book in the series and whilst it is a little slow to start it quickly warms into a hot Klevian romance.

Shay and her family are on a space ship to start a new colony when a Klevian ship attacks. When the smoke settles the ships are trashed and the Klevians unconscious or wounded.

Klevians instantly bond when they first touch their mate and what follows the crash is Shay and Galidin's story.

I love the certainty of the Klevians when they know and the subsequent heat is steamy.

This is a fantastic action packed steamy romance and whilst Shay and Galidin get their HEA there is a soft cliffhanger. This can be read alone but is much better if read in order.

Galidin

I liked the author's use of the amnesia trope in this book. It was nice to get a sense of what the Klevian males are like without socialized hatred.

We're also slowly learning about what is going on with the First Prime. The author is doing a nice job of unfolding that story a little bit in each book.

My favorite lines come from the MFC’s dad. The MMC treated her very badly when he got his memory back so she wants to know she can trust him.

“‘Knowing isn’t trust. Knowing is knowing. Trust is acknowledging that it might happen again, but choosing to believe it won’t.’”

I haven't heard trust talked about this way before and I thought it was very eloquently stated.

What an interesting turn of events. Amnesia? Awesome! Galidin has a clean slate to really learn what humans are like. Shay struggles to keep him at bay feeling the connection between them and not wanting him to hate her when he regains his memories. Is it possible for him to overcome his hatred of humans? Thrown together, working together for a common goal, are they really so different? Sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, filled with lots of action and adventure as well as hot and steamy romance. What a fun read!.

I loved this book. It was such a fun adventure. Great world building and wonderful characters. I really liked the memory loss trope here, and that it was on the male lead rather than the female. It allowed us to see Galidin without the history of his people and the humans influencing him. And also left me with the anticipation of when those memories return- how would he react and feel? Shay and Galidin had such great chemistry and I really enjoyed the relationship that blossomed between them. The story had danger, suspense, and steam. Loved it and I can't wait for more in this series. 5 stars.

Galidin's ship crashed into the humans ship., both landed on a mountain side and had to leave the damage ships to survive. Shay and her family help the injured ied Klevian's warriors escape their ship. Gliding has amnesia and he's extremely attracted to Shay. Their love grows during this time, but when Galidin's memories return, he's torn between betraying his king or betraying his mate.its the dangers of a new strange planet and old mutual enemies that bri gs Galidin to his senses. This book has relationship drama, a jealous want to be lover, dangerous environment and plenty of steamy time.

I cannot stress enough how much I loved this book!
The main characters, Shay a strong female lead & Galidin, a confused, conflicted warrior are absolutely lovable, you really want them to work.
Shay’s twin, a key character, Syve is hurting from a past trauma, I ached for her to find her happiness. The story has lots of twists and turns, features love at first sight fates mates.
I laughed & cried in equal measure. I wanted to hug Shay & shake Galidin, then shake Shay & hug Galidin! It’s a book I loved reading & hated finishing…literally cannot wait for the next story, the 4th in this series!

A Great Enemies-to-Lovers Sci-fi Romance
Shay and her family are crashed into by a Klevian ship; both ships crash land on an unoccupied planet. Galidin is one of Klevians on the ship, but he’s lost his memory and doesn’t remember that humans and Klevians are enemies. I loved how Shay and Galidin dance around their attraction, and I dreaded when Galidin’s memory would return and the other shoe would drop. These two were such strong leaders, it was great reading about strong and confident characters. A great read in an amazing universe - I can’t wait to read Syve and Teyr story!

They should have been mortal enemies, but he lost his memory. With no memory, he had no preconceived ideas, no unreasonable hate, only hope. He just sees his perfect mate. While this makes it so easy to accept her, he has to work extra hard to convince her his feelings are real, that he could never change his mind. Despite the sexual tension between them, he is incredibly patient, waiting until she decides.

so good ..👍👍

I love this series ..I love the concept of the storyline, which is so much clearer after reading this book. The MFC Shay absolutely love her character, and her personality is what brought the first signs of ‘hmm’ to the MMC Galidin. They are both carefree with each other no matter their differences. This read is engaging, adventurous, righteous and just awesome. I literally can’t wait for Syve and Teyr story.

Hard Nut to Crack

I really liked Galidan until he had his little hissy fit when his memory came back. Shay was so sweet and determined to wait before they bonded. Thank goodness he woke up and smelled the coffee before it was too late. Lots of action and steamy scenes. I enjoyed reading about the rigid, xenophobic Klevian taking a fall into love with a human.
