The curse is real…

Heather, her Egyptologist husband Patrick, and their friends Leigh and Bradley travel to Egypt for a whirlwind tour of the major sites.

An overnight desert trip, a visit to the pyramids, a cruise down the Nile.

But Heather starts to experience disturbing phenomena. She finds herself increasingly drawn to ancient necropoli. She has vivid dreams of the gods and wakes muttering strange chants. She sees mysterious shadowy figures everywhere they go.

She soon realizes the darkest forces of the ancient Egyptian underworld are closing in on her.

Yet by then, there may be no escape.

The premise of this is actually pretty good. Especially the last couple of chapters, but honestly I didn't care for any of the characters enough to care what happened to them. The first part was not of much interest, a lot of "people stuff" that didn't interest me. Towards the end it got a little more interesting and a few surprises that saved it for me.

What a terrifying story. It made me wonder what I would have felt in that prediction. Great story writing
