New residents Raymond Stanton and his daughter Rachel, both still grieving the death of Raymond’s wife and Rachel’s brother, find themselves drawn to the heart of the danger that has beun to beset Sunbury at night. Raymond and the town’s doctor, Josiah Hall, discover that this is not the first time this has happened in Sunbury, while Rachel finds that there is indeed a wickedness dwelling within the twoods at the edge of town. And it is after her.
