Sweetly Shaped: Tallulah's Tale

Rate this book
Tallulah St. James

I love Zeke with every bit of my curvy, size sixteen body but to him I’m his and his sister’s friend, nothing more. My heart breaks every time I see him. Knowing that I will never have him is enough for me to decide that it’s time to let go and move on. I caught the attention of Luke Carson at a party. It seems he could be the answer to my prayers, but I know leading him on is wrong so I tell him the truth. He’s more than happy to give me his friendship and who knows, maybe it could become something more.

Zeke Cirillo

Tallulah has been a constant in my life since we met ten years ago when my sister and I moved into her neighborhood, but something is changing. All of sudden Tallulah isn’t around as often and I can feel her pulling away. I have a girlfriend, so why does it bother me so much that Luke Carson is giving Tallulah his undivided attention and driving her to school? Could I feel something more than friendship for Tallulah? Could I be too late?

If the Hallmark Channel did high school love stories, Sweetly Shaped : Tallulah's Tale by Bailey Charon would totally fit the bill. I don't know maybe they do have high school love stories on it, I don't watch it aa often as I use to.

Sweetly Shaped : Tallulah's Tale follows three high school students who are neighbors as well as friends. As soon as Zeke and Selene moved onto Tallulah's street when she was six years old, she vowed that Selene and her would be best friends and that she loved Zeke. Well Tallulah and Selene did become best friends but Zeke was just a friend .... but in his defense he did not know how Tallulah felt for him.

Now the three neighbors are in high school and things are going to change. For one Tallulah is going to try to move on from pining over Zeke and see who else is out there. This is probably a good thing because Zeke is back together with his on again / off again cheerleader girlfriend Kasey. Kasey is a downright bully and focuses on Tallulah, unfortunately Zeke doesn't see how she is mean to Tallulah but Selene has her back and always will.

Readers will love this story. It is a fast paced read and I finished it in one day. I could not put it down. I love that the chapters are divided and focus on each character. We start the story with Tallulah's viewpoint in the first chapter then move onto Zeke and his side in the next chapter and so on and so on and even Selene gets a chapter or two to fill readers in on her viewpoint.

Charon's writing is from the heart and you can feel the struggle and pain that Tallulah felt but you can also feel the love and friendship between her and Selene and well, I won't say more because I don't want to ruin the ending for readers.

Sweetly shaped

Tallulah was six years old when she met Zeke and Selene, the siblings. Having them move into the neighborhood was godsend for Tallulah. When they moved in ten years ago, Tallulah was a pudgy little girl with glasses and crooked teeth. As time passed she fell in love with Zeke and wish she could say he felt the sameep way and that their love has blossomed through the years but she couldn't.

Zeke loved her but not in the way she love him. For him Tallulah was his sister's friend, nothing more. Tallulah then decided to move on and caught the attention of Luke Carson at a party but it bothers Zeke.
Zeke already has a girlfriend.
