The art style and tone of this comic are very different from the Witchers I've read before. It has a lighthearted feel (is this the first time Dandelion has appeared in comic format?) and the art is very cute. Overall it felt Disney-esque to me. The story is about Red Riding Hood, whose grandmother has a strange glow in her eyes and made the bizarre decision to replace all her tavern's silverware with wooden utensils. HMMM... Three sisters have basically taken over the town, turning it into a tourist hotspot, and ticked off the locals, whose wallets have been devastated by the rising costs of living. At least, that's Red's story. Dandelion's exaggerated bard tales of the witcher's exploits have brought Red Riding Hood to Geralt for help resolving a werewolf issue, which she suspects is due to the three sisters' takeover. But Geralt is meeting locals who are enjoying the booming commerce and the three sisters themselves want help dealing with the wolf. Geralt is hearing two conflicting stories and at the end of issue one he finally meets the werewolf, who talks!

I really enjoyed this lighter take on The Witcher. Can't wait for more!

I'm guessing Red is the wolf. That's my review.
It reads a bit like fic or something would with Dandelion being a fairly useless character and more annoying than anything else and Geralt being full of dramatic Fabio-esque poses.

But it's fun.

As a fan of most things Witcher and fairytales this was a beautiful blend of the two for me and I enjoyed every bit of this. It has the essence of several fairytales such as ‘Red Riding Hood’ ‘3 Little Pigs’, and more with a dark (yet humorous) Witcher twist.

I loved the relationship between Geralt and Dandelion, and the ‘musical’ interludes were a funny addition. The art style was lovely. I cannot stop gushing at how beautiful every cell was throughout this.

This has definitely become one of my favorite graphic novels of all time! Highly recommend to all.

Grimm's Fairy Tales

I'm already in love with this Witcher story. It not only picks up well known themes of German fairy tales but also provides the reader with much needed Geralt-Dandelion-teamup-scenes. The humor fits the Witcher universe. I especially enjoy the mysterious setup where anything is still possible. The easter eggs concerning former comics grant an extra piece of fun in this issue. Only downside in this one is the art style which for me isn't nearly mature enough for the otherwise dark and twisted Northern Realms. 4/5

Story is very fun, characters are who they should be, and I can't wait to find out more about the monsters they've set up for this Witcher Tale.
