Well, it was not that bad actually. Been a while since my last OTT, and well I think this novella might be it. It just put me in a good mood, with minimum eye-rollings.

Cringey? Yes. Instalovey? Yes. Smutty? Hell yes. And those two epilogues? Sweet af.

All in all, a great time for an in-between reading larger books for me.

Five possessive grim reaper stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Grim broke the rules. He's a harbinger of death- he collects dead wandering souls and escorts them to the afterlife. When he sees a beautiful young woman who died from a car accident, he feel something different. Something possessive. Reapers are immune to feelings, but for some reason, Grim can't let his strong, sudden feelings for her go. He guides her soul back into her body.

"The Soul Collector is not getting her. Not now. Not ever. Her soul is mine."

The Soul Collector makes a deal with him. Make the human woman fall in love with him within 24 hours and he'll make Grim human again.

Anna knows when she finally sees him that she's his. She knew before she even saw him because she could feel his presence. The 24 hours they spend together are sweet, sexy, and romantic. During a fight with another Reaper that came after them, Grim starts to lose his power and realizes he's turning human... which means Anna loves him.

"I’m his. He’s mine. There’s nothing else to it. Human, Reaper, dead, alive. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is we’re together in this moment and everything is perfect."

There's very little drama and angst in this book. It's a super fluffy halloween/ spooky romance. I'm a HUGE fan of OTT's works-- this one was exceptional!

Esta epoca del año pide a gritos un libro de Halloween pero la verdad es que no encontrte nada que me enganchara, de ahi que haya leido Grim.

La verdad es que no estuvo del todo mal, obviamnete la historia tiene algunos detalles que no estan todo lo bien trabajados que deberian, y tambien que ciertas cosas pasan a una velocidad pasmosa ( algo entendible debido al numero de hojas que tiene la novela ), sin embargo, la idea de la autora esta bastante bien, es diferente a lo habitual en este tipo de lectura rapida.

En fin, como relato de Halloween no da demasiado miedo, pero se lee en un instante practicamente, algo que en las ultimas semanas me esta costado bastante, el bloqueo lector no se decide a irse del todo.

This was such a good one! Grim is a grim reaper, has been for the past 150 years. He’s reaping lost souls when he comes across Anna’s, dead from a car accident. Feeling drawn to her peace, he gives her soul back to her body, angering the Soul Collector. Grim refuses to give Anna’s soul back, saying he feels things for her. The Soul Collector makes a deal- if Grim can make Anna fall in love with him, he can have another chance at life.

I loved the time I spent in Grim and Anna’s world. I would’ve loved if this was a full length novel and we could witness Grim adjusting to modern life. That would’ve been cool. But for a novella this was enough!

So basically its a love-at-first sight book b/w a human and a Grim Reaper who is not supposed to fall in love.

🦋The Soul Collector gives the H 24 hour time duration in which he has to make the h fall in love with him , otherwise the Soul collector will kill the h and the H will be a reaper for the rest of eternity.

💚💚I specially loves the part where the h saved the H by killing the other Grim Reaper.

A grim reaper hero who falls in love with a soul he’s been sent to collect. He can’t go through with it and puts her back into her body. But he can’t stay away and watches over her, even while knowing he’s attracting the wrath of his master, the terrifying Collector of Souls. In order to keep her, he has to undergo a couple ordeals.

Safe. Hero was a human before dying and becoming a reaper and his past when alive wasn’t mentioned at all. He didn’t come off as a manwhore, tho and his 150 yrs as a reaper has been without any relationships of any kind. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No others, no cheating or sharing or abuse. HEA with epilogue.

I LOVED this story! Grim has a job to do, and he's become pretty good at it because it's all he knows. One fateful day he meets Anna, and everything changes, his destiny and hers.
A simple premise that's quickly flipped over by Grim being a Reaper who SAVES a life instead of taking one! His boss, the Soul Collector, is NOT pleased, but his Grim's declaration of love for Anna intrigues him enough to make a deal.
I loved the many ways Grim and Anna connected and especially how they fought for each other. Even though a deal was made, not everyone is in favor of a Grim fighting for love! Is their love strong (and hot!) enough? Read on and find out; you'll be glad you did!.

When he goes to collect four souls on a bridge because of a car accident he finds he can't bring himself to collect the fourth soul because she stirs up feelings inside him. Grim makes a deal with the Soul Collector, he has twenty-four hours to make Anna fall in love with him or the Soul Collector gets them both.

OMG!! Love it! I didn't want to put it down. Nice quick very short read.

Grim meets Anna went he is suppose to collect her soul. He can’t do it, he feels something for the woman who sits cross legged looking at the river. He can feel she is at peace. She asks him if he’s taking her away and he tells her no. He tells her her time is not up yet, she has plenty of life left and she is under his protection. The Soul Collector calls Grim back and tells him he is short one soul. Grim tells him he is in love and he will protect that soul. The Soul Collector tells Grim he can have her if he brings him ten souls for the one. Two months later Anna is released from the hospital, she was in a coma for ten days. Anna can feel Grim whenever he is near, but he never shows himself. When Anna can feel him in her bedroom she pulls off her nightie off and plunges her fingers deep inside her. She tells him to show himself. She see the air at the foot of her bed get blurry. Grim appears in a black cloak with a thick hood and a long wooden staff. She tells him she knew he would come and then tells him to show his face. She continues with pleasuring herself as he looks on. She tells him to join her and when he takes a step forward, everything around him blurs. He’s gone, he just disappears. The Soul Collector drags Grim back, tells him he is neglecting his duties. The Soul Collector tells Grim he’s going to take his Sweet Soul as punishment. Grim tells him if he does he’ll rip his head off. Grim tells him he loves her. The Soul Collector make Grim a deal, if Anna can fall in love with him he’ll spare him for a few decades and his duties as The Grim Reaper will be over, but he only has twenty four hours. If he doesn’t then both their souls will be his. Grim returns to Anna’s home and goes upstairs. He finds her taking a bath. She tells him to show himself, she knows he’s there. She tells him she misses him and wants to see him again. When he stand over her she tells him to show his face again. Then she tells him to remove his cloak, he does and he is naked underneath. She looks over his body and ask him to join her. She asks him his name, then ask more questions. He tells her he’s been like this for one hundred and fifty years and his real name is William. He asks her why she wasn’t scared when her soul left her body. She tells him she felt his presence and it wasn’t scary. Then they begin to kiss, he tells her they were meant for each other. He begins to pleasure her, then she pleasures him. He then takes her to her bed, where they get physical. He pulls her to his chest until she falls asleep. When she wakes the bed is empty. She finds him downstair trying to make her breakfast. He doesn’t understand the electric stove, all her dishes are dirty in the sink. She takes out a pop tart and puts it in the toaster. Then starts the coffee telling him it’s simple, they come a long way. When she finds out he doesn’t have anything to do today he tells her he wants her back in bed. They get physical again and enjoy the moment. When the air gets cold and blurry. Another Reaper is in her kitchen. He tells Grim it’s time to settle the score. They begin to argue, then fight. He wants to take Anna but he won’t let him. Grim tells Anna to run, as he starts to get weak. Anna runs out the back door, but stops before she reaches the fence. She can’t leave her Grim, she needs to go back and help him. She walks around to the front and goes in the door. She sees his Scythe laying in the hall. Grim is laying on the floor blood around him. She picks up the Scythe and her hands burn. She swings as hard as she can and it slices into his stomach. He disappears and she runs to Grim. She tells him not to leave her. She tells him she loves him. Then the energy crackles and orange light shines up. They are pulled into the light. The Soul Collector pulls them both to him. He tells her he heard her say the words but wants to know how she can love a Grim Reaper. She tells him she does love him. The Soul Collector tells Grim the mark of Reapers will be on his skin for everyone to see. They are never to speak of this place. As they are back in Anna’s kitchen they both look over each other and she sees his tattoo he must wear. She tells him she likes it. One year later William makes breakfast for her every morning. She is pregnant. He is working at the funeral home. She had to teach him a lot of things he didn’t know how to do. After breakfast they both have the day off, so they head back to the bedroom. Seventeen Years Later, William sits reading his book. He looks over his children Kirsten is the oldest, Aaron is the middle child the youngest is Carrie. They have a nice home, the relationship they built, the life full of love. He appreciated everyday what he has, especially Anna, she’s the light of his life. His sweet beautiful soul.

I've read more than a few of Olivia T. Turner's books. I enjoy her writing style, humor, imagination, and ability to write one hell of a sexy scene. I've enjoyed every one of her books I've read so far. This one included, but this isn't one I'll probably read again. Though the idea of the story will stick with me awhile. I liked it well enough. I just wasn't blown away by it. I'd recommend it to someone who is into paranormal love stories with hot sexy scenes in them. If you're into that you'll probably like it too. You might even love it.🤷 Give it a read and find out. Some spoilers ahead, but I leave plenty of stuff for you to find out on your own.



This is the story of William "Grim" the MMC and Anna the MFC. William is a reaper. As in the grim reaper. Yep, the ones that go around collecting souls and guiding them to the soul collector. William was made a reaper by an unusual set of circumstances. After which he met the soul collector. They're the keeper of souls. The one that takes you from the reaper and puts you into whatever/wherever the afterlife actually is. That's above the pay grade of a reaper. The soul collector is a demon or God of sorts. William isn't really sure exactly what to classify the soul collector as but that's pretty close. The soul collector is who renamed William "Grim". He calls all the reapers that though. William has been a reaper for 150yrs. All that time going around collecting souls. Feeling nothing just existing. Until one day on a bridge, the site of a car accident. William is there to collect our MFC. She's so serene, calm, at peace. He feels intensely draw to her. The longer he stands and stares the more he feels. Lust, attraction, possessiveness, and so much more. It's overwhelming to him. He can't believe he's having feelings at all. Is he even supposed to be able to? The word mine plays in his head. The thoughts she's mine and no one, no thing is going to take her away. How is he going to do that? Can he keep her safe? What will the consequences be? Will he even ever be able to see her again? The Soul Collector is mad at him for disobeying his orders but Grim tells his side and that he loves her and the soul collector essentially tells him that it’s impossible for a grim to love a human but it’s rare. So he sets up a bargain or a deal that he has to kill ten souls if he wants to be with her and he does just that. She’s alive and well and she knows who he is and is hot and flustered every time she thinks about him. He appears for a minute when she’s touching herself but then is swept back into the underworld. The soul collector allows him one day on earth to make her fall for him. He does exactly that and claims her innocence. Another grim shows up and tries to kill her man but she ain’t letting that happen so she does something and kills the reaper for touching her man. The soul collector lets him live as a human but a tattoo is left on his body as a result of him being a former grim reaper.

*spoilers* The Grim Reaper has been sending souls to Soul Colletor for a long time. Time does not matter for him anymore, having has this job since his death in 1874, until he meets a very special soul he keeps for himself, she makes him feel again and so intensive. He stands up against the wrath of Soul Collector and the whole stystem for love, for his Anna. Because the Soul Collector is curious about humans and a Grim Reaper never ever has fallen in love in all of existence, he gets a deal. He will get a second chance for love and his life, if he can maker her fall for him in 24 hours, if not he has to continue his work forever and the Soul Collector takes her soul. And then there is also somebody wanting to take revenge on him.
I always go for Olivia T Turners story, adoring her ott alpha stories with the special touch. This is a little different with the setting and freaky, I loved it. It has all the elements we are gladly used to and the special extra. It touched me and made me laugh. But it is also strangely hot, the scene when she touches herself, feeling him there before seeing him, scorching hot. They were both ready to sacrifice themselves for each other. The epilogue also made me weep and smile, how he is her William.

Grim knows there will be consequences and has to strike a deal with the Soul Collector... make this human girl fall in love with him in only 24 hours or spend the rest of eternity miserably collecting souls.

Anna remembers coming face-to-face with Grim after she died, but doesn’t understand how she is still alive. She remembers dying in a tragic car accident. She’s almost sad to be alive — she desperately wanted to spend more time with Grim. She felt a sense of peace and calm in his presence. Like he is meant to be hers.

Since this is a novella, Grim works fast to woo his girl. He is jealous, possessive, and over-the-top. Who knew Grim Reapers could be obsessive too?

Grim is not your usual grim reaper. He got his job after he drowned when grabbed the scythe of the reaper that came after his soul and reaped him. That reaper enjoyed terrifying people and had gotten sloppy. In taking care of him, Grim is now a reaper for the soul collector. Being a reaper means distancing yourself from your old life and your feelings. For 150 years Grim has been the perfect reaper, then he is sent to the scene of a car accident. He sees the soul of Anna sitting on the bridge and looking out peacefully at the scenery instead focusing on her death. Her calm and peaceful way has Grim falling for her instantly. He doesn't reap her soul but instead he breaks all the rules and returns her soul to her body. The soul collector is very angry but when he hears that Grim loves her, he makes a couple of deals with Grim. The most important being that Grim has 24 hours to have Anna fall in love with him. If Grim wins, then he and Anna will go back to human life together to live happily ever after. If Grim loses. his and Anna's souls are forfeited to the soul collector. Now Grim has to get Anna to love the reaper in just a few hours.

I love it when Olivia takes chances and writes something a little different. This story right here is proof why I keep running back to her for a fantastic quick read.

Grim is a reaper who didn’t choose his job as a collector of souls - he took it. After 150 years he finally found his reason for being and he will do anything for her.

Anna is a sweet young woman who was taken too early. The feelings that overtake her when she meets her reaper are ones she’s never felt before and she knows she never will for anyone else.

This couple is a whirlwind of hot, supernatural chemistry and a love that surpasses time and life. Olivia brought all the steam, alpha male goodness with just the right amount of humor and action to this unique tale that I devoured. I love how she thought outside of the box, brought these characters to life in a way I didn’t expect and gave them the happily ever after that they deserved. I would love to see more like this from her…maybe even prove the Soul Collector wrong even more by finding him a mate.

I absolutely loved this book!
Grim/William and Anna, the bond and connection between their two souls is something that many wish and look for throughout all their lives.

As a Reaper, Grim's taken many souls to the soul collector. For 150 years he felt nothing but indifference about his job. He'd never felt anything in all his time until he comes across a soul that calls to his own. He knows right from the start that he can't send her soul to the soul collector...after all their souls feel like they belong together.
However, Grim's actions have consequences.
And when Grim proves to be slacking on his job because of his infatuation with the human woman, the soul collector makes a deal...
Make the human woman fall in love with him in 24 hours or both their souls belong to the soul collector.

Grimm is a reaper. Has been delivering souls to the sole keeper for the last 150 years. He is the only reaper to get his job a little differently than the other reapers. One day he encounters a sweet soul Anna. He is immediately attracted to her and is determined to keep her for himself. He will not allow the soul keeper to have her.
Anna is a young woman who was involved in an accident. She knows she died that day but she woke up from a coma. Since her accident she feels his presence. She is falling for an unworldly creature.
This is a cute short read. Reapers are not suppose to have feelings but he Grimm does and will go against the demon to protect Anna.
Anna is sweet, young, and innocent and even though her attraction to the unknown is strange she is driven to protect him with everything she has.
Such a sweet story that even though the odds are definitely against them their love can survive.

Grim/William, the male lead, has been a soul collector for 150 years, since he killed the soul collector assigned to collect him. Now, he sees Anna, the female human lead, dying and refuses - her soul touches his and he refuses to harm her. His boss is furious but gives him 24 hours to prove she can love him. Now he just needs to protect her from his vengeful reincarnated soul collector and convince her she loves him…

This novella is dual POV, well written, and a cute, instalove, steamy romance. I liked how dedicated and determined Grim was, how he wanted to give Anna a good life regardless of what happened to him. I liked that Anna was equally determined to care for him. I enjoyed their mutual intimate appreciation and the lovely epilogues showing their happy resolution.

This was a diverting, quick read that tells the story of a Grim Reaper that falls in love with one of his customers. Anna is a car crash victim who looks unusually calm and serene, and the Reaper who was supposed to collect her soul feels a connection to her and wants to save her life instead. This is against the rules but he is able to negotiate so that she can live if he can make her fall in love with him in 24 hours. Well, she was practically there already ever since she could feel his presence, but she has to prove it first.

I liked the Grim Reaper world that the author built, and enjoyed the Reaper's point of view in particular. Steam level: She has no basis for comparison but he can wield his scythe.

Oh wow, I am in love with the dead, well, one in particular. Grim is tall, built enough to make me drool and has skin, hair, and eyes in my second favourite colour, grey, with his hood being my first favourite, black. Grim is loving, loyal, sweet, and obssessed enough with our heroine to break the cardinal rule, he brought her pure sweet soul back to life and refused to give her soul over to the soul collector when she died, instead, keeping her for himself. He was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for her and he never backed down even when it was going to cost him his life. He loved her and was drawn to her from the moment her soul entered his plane. This was such a unique premise and the characters were loveable and I connected with them deeply. I definitely recommend this book and I will read it again multiple times. Team Grim Forever 🩶
