The Sharp Edge of the Scalpel: A Dr. Victoria Jones Single Mother by Choice Murder Mystery

Rate this book
While recovering from a potentially career ending lawsuit, Dr. Victoria 'Tori' Jones is called to the trauma room to save a young man who is the victim of a savage knife attack. As she rushes to save him, she recognizes the victim as Frank Sango, a psychopathic wife abuser. She decides to run a 'slow code', working just fast enough to not rouse suspicion. Following the victim's timely demise, Tori is questioned by homicide detective Randy Steeves, a former lover, whom she hasn't seen in forever although she longs for him daily. Taking matters into her own hands, Tori partners with Randy to investigate who wanted Frank Sango dead. Not only dead, but tortured in the process. She becomes the sharp edge of the investigation as she realizes that she alone holds the key to identifying a cold-blooded killer. Will she be able to lead a killer to justice before she puts her own life and the lives of her children on the line? Will she be able to balance her two young sons, a busy surgical practice, and the constant longing she still feels for Randy Steeves?
