Ice cold calculations

A great continuation if the story. Legonds of the E-book counterpart Valara are referenced. A very good fast paces book.

Alliances, betrayals, family secrets and long-term agendas are all revealed here. As Ariel's powers get stronger her control falters especially when faced with intense emotions of revenge or protection. Also are her powers doing more long term harm than good to those closest to her?

A great book, blow are struck to both sides, there are big revelations in this book and lots of action. As Ariel, her group seem to go from one suicide mission to another. Only big things can be next from here.

Iceblade is full of adventure and magic, love and betrayal. Ariel must hone her fighting skills and gain the acceptance of the Eldrin leaders before the enemy arrives.

I thought this was a solid continuation of the story from book 1. It’s been a while since I read Shadowblade (book 1), but I was able to recall most of it as I started reading, which was great. There were some great twists and turns to the story. I’m looking forward to reading book 3! I also listened to the audiobook that was narrated by the author, and they did an amazing job.

This is a fun YA fantasy romance filled with adventure, magic, and lots of action.

Talk about plot twists! If you liked Shadowblade, you definitely would want the next installment in the series, Iceblade. It’s faster paced and showed more about the origin and plans of the Shadowblade. The book revealed the complexity of Ariel’s predicament and how much more involved she was with the entity that gave her powers. It also contained more strategic information and of course, more action!

As expected, it’s a cliffhanger to prepare you for the next book. I can’t wait to see what the next one will bring!

This picks up right after Book 1. Learning more about the team and their history together along with growing understanding of the power of the Elementals. Will everyone be saved? The sequel really steps up the pace and doesn't disappoint.

Intrigue, power and politics, lots of ground covered and a good variety of characters. I like the observations about men in power, hanging back but giving the impression of being in the action - We all know one or two of those! Also, the idea of holding power through persuasion rather than brute force is also interesting and sometimes lacking in novels of this genre.
