SASHA. Russian, Tattooed, bulky, mafia man, a assassin, dangerous ex military man who is in love with with a sweet strong woman. And very possessive like over the top possessive of the heroine😍 I waited quite some time for this hero to show up with his own story because this hero right here got me so curious🤪
It’s so romantic to see a big dangerous russian hero who is so obsessed and love the heroine so much😍😍😍 And always say that to the heroine and everyone else who dare to ask. SASHA have no doubts about his feelings for the heroine 😍😍😍

But unfortunately…. This story about their love story is not what i quite hope for. Is not something I’m a big fan of…. BECAUSE this story starts with the hero who’s stalk the heroine for years since she was a child like ten years old and then obsessed with her when she was an adult “I watched a bruised little girl grow up into a stunning, strong woman. It was that strong woman I fell in love with. It was that strong woman I wanted for my own.”. When he start to obsessing and wanting the heroine, he did make a move on her and tell her. And officially became official after seven years later😒😒😒 Why seven years later? Because the hero made a promise to his brother to not be close with the heroine and also the heroine was very young back then. When he first make a move and tell the heroine he wants her, she was eighteen years old tho so not too young. But he wants the heroine to be a bit older so he can officially make their relationship official. But also I think the years he made the heroine wait is also because he doesn’t want to be in a relationship yet😂😂😂 I think he scared lol. HE MADE the heroine wait for seven years. The first time they kissed when she was eighteen years old, he kissed her because someone else was flirting with her and she wants to get out from that situation. After that kissed, he shows up to her campus gym for two months everyday to see her and train with her but never actually made another move on her. Cause he thinks the heroine is too young and he was also wasn’t ready for her. And they got separated for three years after that. No phone calls, nothing for three years. And then they meet again after that and the second time they met, they have a sexual moment (no s3x tho) and they made a promise to each other to wait. And that wait lasts for four years. No calls and nothing in that four years. Later in the book says that the hero didn’t touch another woman when they made the promise four years ago. Which means the first separation of three years, he did touch another woman🤣 But the second separation for four years he didn’t touch a single woman he said when they made the promise😅 Well it make sense because the first time they didn’t made a promise. But still why though? And why the separations????! Three and four total seven years????!!! I don’t know why the author thinks this is a good idea😢😢😢 It didn’t actually say that he is with someone else or touching someone else but still his words say it all right😅 THE HEROINE did kissed someone else at the second separation when she made the promise because she saw the hero with someone else just walking together but that someone was actually wynter the woman from the villainous kingpin book and they weren’t even together cause wynter is already in a relationship with basilio. The heroine thought they were together because they were walking side by side so she did kissed someone else. Just kissing, no more. Also one of the stupidest thing ever is that in the second separation time when they made the promise together, THE HERO STALK THE HEROINE ON EVERYTHING LIKE EVEN SOCIAL MEDIA BUT DIDN’T TALKED TO HER OR CONTACT HER EVER. LIKE WTF???!!! 🥵”I’d stalked her for years, kept tabs on her. Eliminated any boys that dared touch her. “. How is that even romantic? Nope not romantic. It’s very stupid and fvcked up actually. See my frustration??!🥲 I’m not wrong to feel this way and to say this way right🤣 I like it when the romance just go for it, start the relationship already and don’t have too many or too long separations🥲🥲 So this one is just another disappointment 😭😭😭 Little disappointed tho, not big one. I still enjoyed the book and reading it and find it romantic and great 😌
I think my favorite recent book that i liked far more better from the author was VILLAINOUS KINGPIN. Why? Because the moment they meet for the first time is very romantic, and they go on dates before they become a couple and have romantic time together like so freakin romantic🥺 And when they officially become a couple it was very fast too, not too long like this sasha book😂 And even though later on they had a separation as well, it didn’t last long…. Not years🤣 So I always re-read that sometimes when this author’s books is disappointing 🤣 because that book really is far more funny and romantic. We need more of the wynter’s (the villainous kingpin heroine) friends to have their own book because it’s so freakin funny!
This book is really great one to read if you can handle the spoilers i already write above. Because beside that, the story is overall great one to read. It’s romantic and thrilling. I have to say up front, that I've been waiting for Sasha for forever. Completely love the unhinged crazies and Sasha certainly fits the mold, unsurprising, given his upbringing. Unhinged, broken, thoughts of self-loathing all things that make him the tortured hero we crave. Sasha, like most of Eva Winners' heroes takes the long road to happiness, choosing to stay mostly in the shadows while he waits for Branka to be mature enough to be with a man like him. Regardless of his 7 year wait, he's steadfast and never wavers from his girl. I really enjoyed the storyline. I thought it moved quickly overall, but maybe a little slower in the beginning. I really thought Branka was perfect for Sasha and they were way more similar than you'd think they'd be given the age gap. This series is one of my favorite mafia series around. I think it's just the sense that you know and are invested in all these characters who are extended family of each other. I cannot wait for Tatiana to get her own book, but I'm also super excited for Luca :)

Really enjoyed the plot of this book ngl. I was BOREDDDD reading the same plot with diff characters.
I mean its not entirely different but its also not a copy paste of all the other books in this genre iykyk (it happens after halfway into the book which in my case is a win considering my horrible reading slump)

I have been waiting to read sasha's book since he was first mentioned in The Den of Sin and I fell head over heels for him in Villainous Kingpin and he DID NOT disappoint in his book.

Tampoco hay que dejar de mencionar a la familia Nikolaev, la verdad es que estos Rusos son únicos.. 😅
La verdad es un libro entretenido, igual que todos los anteriores, entrelazados unos con otros, en el que aparecen nuevos personajes que te dejan con ganas de leer sus historias, y otros que aparecen en estos y que complementan esta gran familia de mafiosos. 😊

I waited so long to read this book and it just left me feeling like it could have been so much more. It felt like more than half the book delved back into previous story lines and we weren’t given enough of this story. I had such high hopes that Sasha would outshine his brothers as I love the series. Have fingers crossed the next book nails it!

No saben cuánto me he reído con este libro y eso que me pareció solo entretenido para pasar el rato, no ofrece nada impresionante como, por ejemplo, la historia de Alexei.
Ya conocía ciertos detalles de esta pareja y el drama del disparo, porque precisamente el libro uno y dos de Thorns of Omertà Series sucede en paralelo a una parte de esta historia; pero igual, leerlo en primera persona desde Sasha o Branka fue divertido y solté carcajadas más de una vez.
P.D: Tatiana y Sasha son unos salvajes y el pobre de Vasili tiene que lidiar con ese par de locos.
P.D de la P.D: Creo que ya va siendo hora de mirar a otros autores o géneros porque me siento saturada de esta mujer, pero igual ando pensando que otras historias quiero leer. La de Juliette me hace ojitos jajajja.

“Sasha” is the story of Branka and Sasha.
The hero was such an integral part of the other books- THE mischief maker, and his book didn’t disappoint.
It’s a slow burn romance between him and the heroine, that spans many years. They meet because of a shared tragedy, fall in love, are separated by responsibilities and promises, until seven years pass and the heroine tries to move on. Then the hero goes loses his mind and kidnaps the heroine.. from the alter.
I liked the how faithful he was and his single minded obsession with her. Throughout the book we see how much he cares for her, and his feelings are certainly reciprocated. The heroine has a tragic past, but she doesn’t let it shape her and I like how she is open to everything. There is plenty of angst, sex and romance in this one, a really sexy art piece towards the end and my favorite part is no magical resolution of the infertility plot.

The hero was such an integral part of the other books- THE mischief maker, and his book didn’t disappoint.
It’s a slow burn romance between him and the heroine, that spans many years. They meet because of a shared tragedy, fall in love, are separated by responsibilities and promises, until seven years pass and the heroine tries to move on. Then the hero goes loses his mind and kidnaps the heroine.. from the alter.
I liked the how faithful he was and his single minded obsession with her. Throughout the book we see how much he cares for her, and his feelings are certainly reciprocated. The heroine has a tragic past, but she doesn’t let it shape her and I like how she is open to everything. Me ha gustado mucho es la primera vez que leo a la autora. Sus capítulos son cortos y conocemos la perspectiva de Branka y Sasha.
Caí por el hype de Tiktok y aunque en un inicio no me estaba convenciendo al final terminé enamorada.🤭

I have to say that I have been looking forward to this book for some times now. The Belles and Mobsters series has given me a lot of yummy mafia men to swoon over.
Sasha and Branka’s story promised to fire. Branka is the youngest sister to Alessio and Autumn’s best friend. When Branka met Sasha, he had an effect on her that she’s never experienced or expected from anyone before. Similarly, Sasha was taken with her. But as life would have it, they had obstacles, people and promises that kept them apart for so long. With childhood issues eating away at her and insecurities plaguing her, she struggles to accept that maybe there’s hope for them still. It takes 7 seven years for Sasha to finally decide they’ve waited enough, but is Branka still willing?
I have to say, at this point I feel like I’m reading the same book over and over again because my complaint for every book by this author is the same now. I wish the author would have someone really edit her books. There is so much repetition and if I never read, hear or see the phrase “sardonic breath” again, it would be too soon.
Another gripe is that once again I feel like the author doesn’t capture the characters emotions at all. There is so much hurt, betrayal, anger but the anger is never communicated to the other. All the things Branka was angry about, never once did she lash out or express that anger to Sasha. She kept reciting her anger over and over again to herself. What’s the point? Some of their issues would have been resolved by a single conversation but such conversations never seem to take place. I would like just once for the characters to have an actual argument. A serious, furniture moving, fucking shit up argument. This was my complaint too in Alessio and Autumn’s story, Contract of a Billionaire.
I have to say while I enjoyed the book, it fell short of what I wanted and expected from Sasha’s story. The repetition made the book longer than it needed to be. I feel bummed that I have to write a review like this, but honestly, I keep saying the same thing about every book now.
Having said that, I continue to read her books. The storyline is always good. I would just like more drama.

The prologue was promising but then I was less invested because some parts of the MCs past seemed pretty similar to those of previous characters in the series.
Sasha is 100% crazy and obsessed! He took obsession to another level. If you want unhinged, this is your man. I was expecting this book to have more fun moments because of Sasha’s attitude in the previous books but it wasn’t the case. It seemed to me that those possessive feelings developed too fast, out of nowhere. Branka was ok, she was determined but nothing special. I wasn’t totally convinced about their chemistry.
There were points I felt some things were missing, editing was slightly problematic. And perhaps it would help reading Alessio’s story before this one, I felt a bit lost at times.
Not my favourite of the series I’m afraid, I expected a lot more.

Tenía muchas ganas de leer la historia de Branka y Sasha, ya que los había descubierto en el libro de Alessio.
Ambos están bastante locos, pero se complementan.
Lo más incoherente es el padre de Branka, se entiende que sea un sádico pero no que dañe tanto lo que en su mundo se considera una mercancía y moneda de cambio: sus hijas.
El romance me gustó mucho. Quizá la historia se alarga un poco de más. Pero cumple.

I felt Branka was the perfect match for him, her resilience and strength appealed to our tortured assassin. Branka had her own ghost to chase, even if she never backs down, Sasha never hesitates to fight for her by supporting her and showing her how to overcome her fears. Branka never gives in to Sasha absurd demands, she also never gives up on him, she embraces all of him sides and falls equally for every sides that make him what he is.

As much as I appreciated this instalment I need to point out that Ms Winners falls into her old habit of being a bit repetitive, the multiple inner musing of the characters are sometimes redundant, thus also slowing down the action, it felt like they were page fillers, dialogues would have propelled the action also giving the way for more development between the two characters. It looked like they were only thinking to themselves rather than talking in order for their relationship to grow.

Ms Winners’ busy mind created a whole universe made up of different worlds all connected to each other, so even if this is a standalone we still stumble across characters from this same series but also people whose stories are somehow linked, as much as I appreciated all the cameos and updates, case in point Alessio’s reaction to Sasha is priceless! However, despite having read some of the other books, I had some trouble placing all the characters and their backgrounds which took away some fluidity to the narrative. If I were to begin this series now, I would have a hard time keeping up with all the people featuring in this tale, I feel the need to recommend reading this in order to fully understand the connections, despite it being labelled as a standalone.

Me gustó por que la historia de sacha y brianka esta llena de pruebas y cosas a superar, sus experiencias pasadas llenas de similitudes y sus inseguridades tan escondidas. Sasha como persona ha sido increíble en todas sus facetas psicópata, exasperante, un poco infantil; pero protector, amoroso, entregado. Es un libro que me saco muchas risas, sin duda gracias a él. Pero creo que falto un poco más de acción.

Hablemos de este libro… le tenía pocas expectativas porque ya había leído los libros anteriores de esta serie y pensé que no podría ponerse mejor que el libro de Nico o Cassio o Alexei. Pero lo hace, se pone mucho más bueno. No sé como lo hizo esta autora para hacerme adicta a sus historias. Ahora quiero leer todos los libros que me faltan y los que aún ni estrenan.
Sasha en este libro es todo lo que esta bien en el mundo (bueno, más bien todo lo que está mal, porque es de los personajes moralmente grises más grises que he leído, pero detalles)
Esta obsesionado con Branka desde el primer momento. Y aunque durante la historia hay bastante saltos temporales, los sentimientos de Sasha no cambian. Fue un tipo vulnerable y me apenaba leer cuando creía que Branka nunca lo iba a elegir porque el no merecía amor. Acompáñenme a llorar.
Toda la historia de amor instantánea, después enemigos a amantes, la escena de secuestrar a la novia… todo el libro ha sido inolvidable. Me ha recordado escenas de mis libros favoritos de Cora Reilly y creo que es suficiente razón para darle una oportunidad a esta autora.
Branka fue una bad bitch, al puto estilo de Elsa Steel en los libros de Rina Kent, Branka estaba loca pero de esas locas que te caen bien. Era tan psicópata como Sasha y me encanta leer una historia donde ambos se complementan en términos de locura.

Definitivamente los Nikolaev son lo máximo, todos están relocos 🤭😂😂 me encanta amo su locura...
Estos hombres aman con una intensidad única, protegen a sus mujeres, son totalmente fieles, cuando leí Vasil dije wow que hombre esa seguridad que emana lo amé desde el primer momento, luego leí Alexei y quede prendida de su fuerza en todos los sentidos, de su posesión, de su mirada oscura, pero ahora leo a Sasha y me doy cuenta que el es otro nivel , amo su personalidad tan despectiva del que dirán, es metódico a la hora de planear es calculador, un lunático, despiadado, malévolo en fin un demente.. Y eso es lo que atrae su locura 😂
El tiene un pasado traumático que dejo huellas imborrables así como a Branka.

Being that I'm this crazy train of Mafia stories, thought I'd keep chugging along to the next one. I liked Sasha and Branka's story but I really need to know what happens with Tatiana.
Last we left off with Sasha's sister, the head of the Russian bratva was eyeballing her. What happens?!?! I got really attached to Tatiana so I'm hoping she and Ilias ran off into the Siberian sunset together.

The novel matched the theme of the series 'damsel in distress', wronged by their own family
Nothing new but a good read though i expected more from Sasha.
The only attribute of his character we got to know in the novel was obsession, nothing else.

Sasha is a crazy, hella entertaining mofo and this story mirrored his character to a T! 🙌 He first caught my attention when I came across him in a series crossover (Kingpins Of The Syndicate). His cheeky and protective, yet somewhat unhinged personality had me curious to know more about his story.
This book was no holds barred. It had a gritty atmosphere from start to finish that set the entire mood as you delve into both Sasha and Branka’s entire history. It’s not for the fainthearted, with constant fear, brutality, and danger in the air.
Please note, it contains sensitive content that may be triggering for some readers such as, domestic abuse, child abuse, graphic violence, suicide, rape, drug use, and psychological torment— all resulting in one form or another of PTSD. It has dark themes and strong sexual content. It’s intended for readers 18+ only.
Sasha has three main elements within its story— familial dynamics, violence, and BDSM romance. The first two I’m accustomed to with the copious amounts of dark/ mafia and romantic suspense books I read. The latter not so much. BDSM is not in my usual wheelhouse of romance tropes and elements. I have nothing against this element, it’s just not for me, but in saying that and after seeing snippets of Sasha in previous books of Belles & Mobsters (and in the Kingpins Of The Syndicate series), Sasha wouldn’t be Sasha without some eroticism and kinky bedroom play. 🤷♀️😅
The world-building is vivid and extensive, and whilst it can technically be read as a standalone novel, the entire series is interconnected through its characters and the relationships they’ve formed. I recommend you start from the beginning to get the full experience of the Belles & Mobsters underworld and the connections amongst each family and territory.
Whilst I’m not completely up to snuff with this series yet, I have read enough of the books to see similarities within each one. All are relatively steady-paced storytelling. I do see occasional repetitiveness or previously mentioned details circle back around. This book is no different and a contributing factor to it being a little wordy. Although both Sasha and Branka’s backstories were both haunting and heart-wrenching to learn about, I metaphorically grasped the pages (of my ebook) whenever they interacted as their relationship was somewhat of cruel slow burn.
It’s a character-driven story full of sadness, anger, and retribution that gradually morphs into one of strength, healing, and happiness. Sasha and Branka are complex, damaged characters with their own ghosts and insecurities. Their character growth was interesting to see throughout and although there’s an age difference between the two it didn’t necessarily come across in their dynamic. Whilst they do have an unconventional relationship, it does work for them.
All in all, Sasha did not disappoint. He exceeded my expectations and then some! 😜 He’s a total alpha-hole and his lunacy will have your jaw-dropping in shock but in a good way. Sasha’s fierceness and all-guns-blazing attitude in achieving his HEA with Branka is a prime example of a possessive mobster in an all-out dark, mafia romance story! Sasha has intrigued me for the longest time, and after having read his story I’m left in happy contentment. His book is another great addition to the series, and now I can look forward to reading the next one.
After five books the cast of characters is vast and connections are more complex than ever, but rest assured once you settle in, juggling all the relationships and family trees will be a piece of cake. It’s not to be missed for readers who’ve been following the Belles & Mobsters series. I think fans of dark, mafia romance books will get a kick out of this one. It has equal parts romance and mafia elements. You can also look forward to seeing strong bonds and a contrast of personalities. It’s twisty, at times comical, and an all-around wild ride!

Their story goes back and forth over seven years until finally Sasha has had enough and he wants to claim the woman he knows is the only one for him! But does Branka still have feelings for him or is she over it all.
Author Eva Winners gives her readers the story of the man no one thought would ever marry and the woman he waited for while she came into her own. Their chemistry is off the charts and they will have to put a lot of work into finally being there for each other. As with all her other Belles and Mobsters stories Author Eva Winners weaves a story of love and violence into a beautiful book.
