My kids love these books! Who wouldn't love a story about a wish to have legs and walk on land to a "unicorn planet/party."

This book is a graphic novel style that is great for even reluctant new readers. It was the right level for my elementary school daughters.

The pictures are fun and whimsical even though they are a basic sketch style. My kids can't wait to read the next adventure of Narwhal and Jelly!

Narwhal and Jelly books are very popular younger readers (K-3). This adventure has Narwhal who calls himself a unicorn of the sea wanting to meet an actual unicorn. This leads to an out of the sea adventure. There is a nice lesson on friendship and being a good listener too. The puns as always are delightful using words like shore in place of sure. This will be a welcome addition to my school library. Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada for a temporary eARC in exchange for a review.

General silliness and punniness as Narwhal and Jelly look for unicorns (ok, really just Narwhal's interested in finding a unicorn, while Jelly wants to stay safe in the water. Not only does Narwhal get his wish -- he temporarily becomes a Narwhalicorn so he can run around looking for unicorns, but he also meets a number of single-horned beings. And learns to listen to Jelly better.

I feel like I've read other Nawhal and Jelly books to the nieces, but forgotten to record them. Anyway: cute, as usual! A nice chance to use Narwhal's struggle to learn to use his legs on land as a teaching moment for the need to persevere through niece's own current struggle to learn to ride a bicycle. Jelly continues to channel my own internal dubiousness toward adventure.

I've kind of fallen behind in my reading of Ben Clanton's Narwhal and Jelly books. How the heck did we get to #7 already? If you've been hiding under a log or something and don't know about the Narwhal & Jelly books, I'm sad to hear it.

These two best friends have all kinds of wacky adventures, make new friends, teach readers a few related facts, and make you laugh. They are full of hilarious puns and rhymes. Jelly is the straight man to Narwhal's often ludicrous antics.

In this volume, Narwhal wishes on a star and ends up with legs.

Then they end up on a Unicorn planet where they meet all kinds of animals spouting a horn. Soon a party erupts.

Poor Jelly, trapped in a fishbowl, tired and cranky, wishes to go home, and presto, he's back at home in his ocean.

Soon Narwhal realizes he wasn't a good friend and didn't listen to what Narwhal wanted.

The two mend fences and continue to have extraordinary everyday adventures.

I can't wait till I get to read this with my five year old unicorn obsessed granddaughter. She was already a beginning reader when I last visited with her. I'm willing to bet she can read this on her own!

I wish I may, I wish I might... also be a unicorn tonight!!

How much fun is Narwhalicorn and Jelly Book #7?! SO much fun, it's like a party in a book! What a great way to keep readers interested and reading all night. The colorful and whimsical illustrations kept me ohh-ing and ahh-ing throughout the story (especially when Narwhalicorn got his blue hair!!). This is just an adorable story about wishes, seeing if the grass is actually greener on the other side of the fence and friendships new and old.

I would just like to put in my request for an invitation to the Unicorn Planet :)

I love Narwhal and jelly! They are always happy and ready for adventures. However, Jelly is a little tired for the upcoming adventure. Narwhal wants to be a real unicorn but to do that he’s going to have to find some legs and get up on land. With the help of a wishing star his dreams come true and Jelly just wants to go back to bed. As always it always works out in the end and it’s a fun adventure along the way.

Narwhal and Jelly books are just super cute fun comic strips and they normally have a centralized story or takeaway geared towards younger readers. It's a cute one and I liked it quite a lot. I think this will be a hit with the Narwhal and Jelly crowd.

I've never read any of the Narwhal and Jelly books so I wasn't sure if I would like this going into it but I really enjoyed it! If these were around when I was a kid I would have DEVOURED all of them. Even as an adult I still find them really cute and fun.

This was a delightfully hilarious children book, with an important lesson of being accepting of your introverted friends.

I think I am coming towards the end of my enjoyment of Narwhal and Jelly (as an adult).
While there are new adventures, they just also feel slightly the same.
The illustrations are still cute and it has decent formatting.

My name is Kimicorn and I love the Narwhal and Jelly series. Narwhal makes a wish to be a unicorn and Jelly is reluctantly along for the ride. Oblivious to Jelly’s feelings, Narwhal has a blast making all sorts of unicorn-ish friends, but Jelly is not comfortable with all these changes.
This is a good little story about friendship and and comfort zones.

As always 5 stars! I love this series so much. It is a lot of fun. Narwhal is out to show Jelly that unicorns do exist. Since this requires going on land, Narwhal depends on the star to help along the way. I think my favorite part of the story is the names for the other animals. I will definitely be adding this to my classroom library and personal library.

Jelly and Narwhal--best friends and world-famous adventurers--love to go where new friends and delicious waffle snacks can be found. Some people know that a narwhal is called "the unicorn of the sea;" in this book, they visit a very cheerful place never-before seen by human or fish... (I don't want to ruin the surprise!)

Narwhal remembered that being good friends takes effort. Sometimes we all need to be reminded how to be the best friend a Jelly could have!

If you know someone who likes a silly story, kindness, good friends, adventure, awesomeness, waffles, and puns, they may be a narwhal! Or somebody who would love to read about Narwhalicorns!

Parents, please note that a play on words occasionally pops up such as "It 'shore' would," or "unbelievabowl," because this dynamic pair is a veritable comedy team who lives in the ocean. Kids laugh at the obvious jokes; I don't think they actually ruin spelling scores.

This is my third (or fourth?) Narwhal and Jelly adventure, and I have enjoyed all of them. They are funny and always have a message. I recommend books in the series as fun gifts for a person of any age.

This book is so fun and cute! I haven't read a graphic novel before reading this one because I thought all graphic novels were geared more towards males. But after reading this book, I realize that graphic novels are for everyone and can be a unique way to help readers, especially young readers understand the book better. This book specifically is about a Narwhal (Narwhalicorn) and a Jellyfish (Jelly) who have a little bit of tension at the beginning of the book because they don't agree. Narwhal finds this horn and believes it is magical and will give him magical powers, which is when he comes up with the name Narwhalicorn, but Jelly doesn't think there is any magical powers. Throughout their journey in the ocean, Jelly ends up going along with the idea that this horn has magical powers because Jelly realizes it is exciting and fun, especially for Narwhal (Narwhalicorn). Along with a simple plot for readers to understand, the illustrations in this book are great, and the whole format of this graphic novel is easy to follow. I highly recommend this adorable book for a classroom, where students can make predictions and share them in the middle of the book about what will happen with Narwhal's magical powers.

As loyal readers of the Narwhal and Jelly series already know, Narwhal (aka the unicorn of the sea) is an amiable sea creature who loves waffles, silly puns, and spur of the moment adventures almost as much as they love their bestie, Jelly the jellyfish. (Leslie Knope can relate. Insert "Ann, you poetic, noble land-mermaid" gif here.)

The duo's latest adventure is truly epic: in a quest to meet a real mermaid (aka, the narwhal of land), several wishes upon a star will bring Narwhal onto terra firma - and then launch them into outer space! But that's not the half of it: Narwhal will also gain some introspection, as they realize how to be a better listener and friend.

The Narwhal and Jelly series is a super-cute and kind weird series for younger readers. The art is simply adorable and, while the rhyming sometimes gets a little cringey for these adult ears, I'm sure kids will love it.

Also, there has never been a sadness that can't be cured by breakfast food.

Narwhal, the unicorn of the sea, wishes to go on land and see a unicorn, the narwhal of the land.

When Jelly asks Narwhal about unicorns, it gives Narwhal the idea to go on land and see one for himself. Jelly is tired and would rather go to sleep, and he reluctantly accompanies Narwhal on the adventure.

With the help of the wishing star, he sprouts legs and goes on land. Then Narwhal, Jelly and the star travel to Planet Unicorn and have a party-corn.

Tired and grumpy, Jelly wishes himself back home. Narwhal realizes he wasn’t being a good friend and quickly follows. Narwhal apologizes for being insensitive to Jelly’s feelings. And after a good night’s rest, Jelly is up for a party-corn when the unicorns visit the sea.

It cracked me up that the unicorn was called a "horsicorn."

This picture book is illustrated in comic book format. It has the length of a beginning reader but a vocabulary of a beginning chapter book.

Facts about unicorn-like animals are included.

Unlike the other books in this series, there is not a story within a story, provided in the form of a comic “written” by Narwhal and Jelly.

The artwork in these children's books is UNMATCHED. So adorable. I've read and loved the Narwhal & Jelly board books for toddlers and was excited to be introduced to the chapter books for kids! This is book #7 in the series.

Narwhal & Jelly talk about Unicorns, and after wishing upon a star, Narwhal is given legs and the two head ashore together to search for a Unicorn. What they find is different than expected, but very fun. There is also a good lesson about listening to and understanding the needs of others.

This book is a fairly simple read, with a lot of silly puns throughout. As an adult I found it entertaining, and as a kid I'm sure I would have eaten it up. I recommend this as a fun book to read with your kids!
