Safe Passage: Dying Light

Rate this book
The road ahead is never easy...

Lori and her ‘family’, continue their trek across the central United States, trying to reach the rumored safe haven of Seattle, Washington.

Twisting and meandering back roads that lead to nowhere, continue to drain their already diminishing supplies, so they decide to venture through some smaller towns, while still avoiding the larger cities, but will the risk be worth the reward?

They will find an unexpected new ally and encounter increasingly desperate enemies as they struggle to make headway in their journey to what they hope is the safety and security that they’ve been seeking.

I’ve finished book 3 of the Safe Passage series and haven’t left a review yet. This one will be short because I’m still finishing the series. Clay Wise has done an excellent job with this series so far.

The books are engaging and never dry. He has a way with weaving his characters together and building those relationships. Even the characters that last only a couple of pages you seem to remember them later long after they are gone from the book.

I love the story because it seems plausible. It isnt constant gun battles, because they certainly have their share. It is more about survival and findingqŵ ways of connecting with others who want the same. I understand there certainly would be violence in a situation like this but there would also be people trying to make life better with the little they have.

Lookinf forward to finishing the series and other books by Clay Wise.-

Book 3 packs more of the same from Book 2 for much of it, but with a bit more action sprinkled in and focuses on the personal relationships a little more. It manages to be even more heartbreaking at times, and still ever as adventurous as its predecessors.

Overall:
The author does a good job of showing the worst of people, the best of people and everything in between during trying times.

You’re going to want to read on in the series.

Awesome

Loved this book. Kept you in grossed and felt like you were right there with the characters. Hard to put down and then sad when it was finished without a book to go on with the story.

Enjoyed it!

I liked the series. There are some things I’d change but it’s not worth griping about. I did enjoy the book.
