Retired police officer Archer is forced to retire because his wife shot his shooting hand right before she killed herself. While he tired to stop her he is riddled with guilt that she was attacked by The Lock Rapist. He wasn’t able to catch him and he continues to terrorize. That’s when Resa comes in to learn how to protect herself when she brought herself on the rapist radar.

Tersa is nuts..... archer was a cop pursuing a rapist. Then his own wife was victimized. Unable to cope, Archers wife is about to kill herself. archer can't rach her quickly enough to stop her..
now retired due to being unable to perform his job as a cop, archer owns a shooting range. Teresa is the sister of a victim of the same rapist tar attacked Arches wife. she wants to learn to defend herself and purposely seeks out archer.....
her relentless pursuit of Archer and ending up staying with him in his home because there were insufficient police resources fir tersa to be taken into protective custody was contrived. from the moment teresa ended up in archer's house, you knew there would be sex and of course the'd fall in love....... BORING.........

Surprisingly decent romantic suspense with a trouble hero and a heroine trying to deal with the brutal rape of her sister. A little too much "I don't have anything to give you" type stuff, but there was good tension and decent action.

This is a Romantic Suspense story. I thought it was very good. It is hard to lay it down once you start reading it.
