Lavinia Roseknight is a non-binary author from Poland. They live with their family, dog and cats in a small town not far from the Baltic Sea. Their favorite hobby - besides writing - is being a game master for table-top rpgs and reading romantic fantasy and paranormal novels and comics. They have a degree in architecture but work as a Creative Director for a video game company, writing visual novels.

Not a bad little book for a super quick read. Being under 100 pages there's only so much you can pack in and the author did a decent job.

The villain not coming back after not really being defeated was a bit of a snub off, but again the whole book is under 100 pages.

It had one sex scene, which wasn't overly descriptive, and the usual virgin female lead, but the characters were sweet.

Good vs evil, good triumphing and a HEA.

Everett wants to be more than just a friend to Agnes, but he was put in the friend zone. His wolf wants to claim Agnes as his mate. Agnes goes missing, and Everett believes she is still alive, and he will do whatever is needed to save her. Can he save her? Will he be stuck in the friend zone forever? I enjoyed this quick read shifter romance.

this was a great start to the Magical Montreal series, it was what I was looking for from this type of book. I enjoyed the way Lavinia Roseknight wrote this, and it did a great job in telling what it needed to. The characters worked and I enjoyed what was going on. It left me wanting more in this series.

Short and Intense

This was a nice short story of two lifelong friends who, when the situation becomes intolerable, realize they are fated mates who want each other. Together, they work to try to defeat an evil demon warlock.

The story flows nicely with one unexplained event. Allowing for that, I can recommend the book to you.

Not a bad read… very short so only so much can be done…
The main characters are sweet….
And there’s the whole good vs evil storyline….
And of course a happy ending….

I received this story as an Arc from the author and I’m writing a review because I want to. This is a delightful story about 2 fated mates who finally found each other. They have to pass a trial. Highly recommended!
